Good Morning, my Friends.

Proceeding boldy we are, right on into another week and racing headlong toward a truly major Milestone marker!

The data for the day:
Days to the Season: 189
Days to Christmas Day: 231

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY.
Yes, it truly is true. In exactly seven days, we will be exactly HALF way back to our treasured Christmas Season.
(We have come so far so fast this year. It's just racing past!)

A bit cooler yesterday but still fantastic for early May. Lots of sun, gentle breezes and most importantly, no humidity issues yet.
Truly the best of times, weather wise!
Right now, we perceive 59.1degrees on our digital back door thermometer.

Have a Totally Terrific Tuesday, All!
Thanks Crown! We have a perfect weather day here!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Nancy and Elizabeth spent the whole weekend getting pictures made with her dance group, on both Saturday and Sunday. Jacob had another date with his new girlfriend, and I mostly worked LOL.

I helped Jim install wheelchair ramps at his home. His wife is coming home from the hospital on Thursday! She's been in physical therapy, learning how to move from a wheelchair to the bed, car, etc. by herself, and other things to take care of herself. She's still forbidden from putting weight on her hip for many more months, but at least she can do some things for herself.

First real staff meeting with our new manager in 30 minutes. I hope y'all have a great day! :D
So happy to hear your SIL is coming home!

Not too bad for a Monday. We are approaching the busiest time of the year. It kicks off tomorrow night. I will be gone from home 7 of the next 10 school nights. Two of those other nights, we have tee ball games. After that, there will be a big slow down and I can't wait!
I am right there with you....we are jam packed with track meets, softball games and golf matches. The month of May is very busy for us...I am looking forward to June too!

Good morning MMC...happy Tuesday. Looks like we will have beautiful weather today. My typical day of work and my daughter has a softball game and my oldest a golf match. I think I may make tacos for dinner or get pizza...I haven't decided..lol Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC! Looks like another beautiful day on tap! Hubby is in the fields planting beans! Corn is all done! he picked a good week to be off work!

Not much going on around here. Just work & then ??? I'm sure I'll find something to get into! ;)

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Morning MMC! Reading Coach post just made me realize how close it's getting to the end of the school year yet it seems like the school year just started! We have a beautiful day here about 72 and sunshine. You can't get much better than that. I found a tick on Rollins last night but now I don't see it. I guess it might have fallen off him. I have to keep an eye on him. He did get one last year and was ok afterwards. I give him his tick medicine monthly but I guess like anything else nothing is 100%. Have a great Tuesday!
Oh eek!! I hope the tick is gone & Rollins doesn't have any more problems!! Blah!
Have a good day Edge!

Ticks.... ever since I moved up here to Connecticut from Maryland, everyone is been telling me how bad the deer ticks are up here. It’s been concerning me because I like to be outside. I’m the kind of fella that likes to be in the woods, pruning, trimming, clearing brush, having a garden and such. I’m worried about me, but also having something get on me, and I accidentally take it in the house on my clothes and then it jumps on our house kitties.

Other than spraying myself with deet, weating long pants, I don’t know what else to do. I heard a couple of old wives tales about either eating a clove of raw garlic or drinking a glass of buttermilk every day will change your bodies chemistry and they won’t like it; but I don’t hold much stock in those things.

Anybody know of any other ideas?
I don't have any advice but they freak me out!!! I hope you are not bothered by them!!!

Morning .. I am off from work today but I have several things to do this morning and this afternoon. I think I will be busier then if I had gone to work LOL. I ordered 2 Christmas gifts Sunday night and picked up another from bath and body works yesterday after work. I think we may to check out Toys R US later this week to see if we can find a good deal on laser tag, that's something my sone recently said he wanted. Hope everyone has a great day!
Enjoy your day off. Nice about the Christmas gifts. Hope you can find the laser tag. Have a good day!!!

Came across this: https://www.cdc.gov/lyme/prev/on_people.html (Advice from the CDC)
They also advise that ticks are about the size of a poppy seed (like those on a bagel) and look about the same.

Good morning ~
It’s going to be a beautiful Spring day, sunny with a high of 67 degrees. My husband took the cover off of the pool last night. It looks like a swamp right now but hopefully it will clear up quickly this year. I don’t have too much planned for today, I’ll just be working on some chores around the house. I’m going to do some shopping later this afternoon. I’m looking for a new outfit for a graduation party we’ll be going to this weekend. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Thank you! Rocky does like it, his little tail wags when he sees the other dogs :)
How adorable!! :)

That’s hilarious! My goodness she is sooo cute!
xo
Thanks! I have a feeling between the green grass & the cottonwood seeds at the lake, she will be getting her 1st summer cut tomorrow!!! She will look like a totally different dog!!

If you have dedicated clothes you are going to be outside working in, you can treat them with peremethrin once a month instead of applying deet every time. Then pants tucked into your socks or pants with drawlstring closures at the bottom so they can’t crawl up your legs.
