Good Tuesday morning! A true Summer morning, sunny and already very warm. I went for a long walk at the park with Loki first thing this morning, before it got too hot for this little pup. Got a few things done this morning but now I have to think about getting ready for work for my afternoon/evening shift, counting down the days I have left working at this store. Hope everyone enjoys a great day!

Just scored some mill-end yarn skeins at Jo-Ann that I’m pretty sure are Red Heart Mistletoe. Nice savings!

Hmm ... mine has little red and green specks in the white, so maybe it’s not Red Heart Mistletoe after all, but it’s still pretty and a nice bargain.
Love it!!! ♥

Happy Sunday to all!

It’s gone from sultry to chilly here, but at least it will cool off the house. Our new fridge doesn’t come until next week, so we got some fresh staples to put in our basement mini-fridge, but we’ll lose everything else in the fridge and freezer. Oh, well. Refrigeration is like electricity and running water ... when you’re without it, you realize how much we take it for granted.

Doing some laundry today, following up with some computer updates, and hoping to get some sofa time. So happy tomorrow is a holiday. I’m still kinda worn out from last week. It’s been crazy at the office, and it’s been hard to keep up the pace. Less than a month until vacation, though! That will keep me going.
Hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend!! Having a vacation to look forward too is always a good thing! :)

Oh wow, is that early? My wife still has around 4 more weeks of school left here in Connecticut.
The last day of school here was May 23rd...they normally go back around the 24th of August.

Lovely weather where I am in the UK today, it’s Bank holiday meaning no school or work which is an added treat.
Exciting times I’ve just booked NYC for a trip in December - it’s a surprise for the kids they’ve never been to US and are absolutely desperate to visit. Plan is we surprise them on Christmas Day then fly out 26th :) any hints & tips appreciated as I’ve no idea where to start!
How exciting!!!! :):)
I'm not much help though as I've never been to NY!! Hope you have a fabulous time!

Well we hit 95 degrees today. We haven’t been that warm in May in 107 years. So while we grilled out, we also ran right back inside to eat. Lol!! I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!!
It was really warm! And I remember years of wearing gloves & winter jackets at ball tournaments!

Not good things going on here in my hometown right now..

At approximately 6:45pm the Stratford Police Service
received a call that explosives have been placed “at the Stratford Festival”.
Both the Avon and Festival theatres security were immediately advised and officers attended the scene.
Both theatres have been evacuated as a safety precaution. Officers are on scene conducting a searches for suspicious items or packages at this time. We are reminding the public to assist the Police by staying away from these areas....

This is a major event in our town every year it's very sad that this has happened.
I am grateful for our city police quick action and that everybody stayed calm as they were evacuated.
Please pray for all those involved especially that nothing bad comes of this
Oh no! Praying everything is ok!! xx

Morning MMC. Post-Memorial Day Weekend so back to work I go. It was a good one. Had a good BBQ Monday and now leftovers for the next day or 2. And now heading towards June, somehow, someway. Hope you all enjoy your day back!
Have a good short week!

Good morning!
Well, summer vacation officially starts today for me. How am I going to spend my first day? Headed to the dentist for a root canal.o_O
Hope your appointment goes well!!

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!
It’s going to be a nice day, partly sunny with temperatures in the mid 70’s. Not too much going on, back to my regular routine today of errands and chores. I have so much food leftover from yesterday so I get a break from cooking tonight. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
Nice to have the leftovers! Hope you had a nice time at your BBQ!!
Have a good Monday!

Good morning, MMC! Back to work today, we are expected to get to 90 today but it cloudy out there now. I took my girls to the outlets yesterday to do some shopping...it was like Christmastime, so busy and barely any parking. I did watch The Christmas Prince last night and really liked it! Hope you all have a great day!
Glad you enjoyed the Christmas Prince! I'm looking forward to the sequel!
Have a good day SFM!

Good Morning, Friends.

Perhaps I sould have phrased that "Wet Good Morning", owing to all the rain we have been getting. Had a hard rain overnight with more predicted for today and most of the remainder of the week.

But be that as it may, the count must go on, so here it is:
Days to the Season: 168
Days to Christmas Day: 210

And would you believe........
As of TOMORROW, we will be SINGLE DIGITS away from the 200-Day Christmas Day Milestone marker and the beginning of a double-100's level count.
That's right. We are just TEN days away from that point.
(My! My!)

As stated above, we have become very familiar in recent days with being quite wet, an experience that is supposed to continue for several more days.
This one has commenced super damp, at 72 degrees.

But be ye wet or be ye dry, you have a Terrific Tuesday, OK?
And gear yourselves up for a heapin' helpin' of Carl, tomorrow!
Thanks crown!! Hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend!!

:mad:We got word this morning that Mom is going to be discontinued from the Hospice program June 14th! :( That is good news/bad news! They are a big help!!! I guess we'll figure something out!!! They have supplied the hospital bed, railings, lift chair, chair alarm, wheel chair, walker, portable toilet ~ they also supply her boost (protein drink) & all her meds so we don't have to take her out to the doctor. Their aid also comes in 2x per week to give her a shower & they send music therapy about once a month. This will be interesting!

I'm sure it'll hard to get used to, but your family seems very dedicated to each other. Praying for y'all !

Good Tuesday afternoon, Christmas friends!

I had to drive Jacob to the doctors office this morning. He's not feeling well. I hope they can help him!

We had a great long weekend! I mowed the lawn twice, thanks to the rain. But I did spend some time in the pool, so SCORE!

I hope y'all have a great day!

A memorable Memorial Day to everyone!

It's cloudy and chilly here today ... tomorrow, when we're back at work, it's supposed to be 81F and sunny. Somebody messed up!

I'm really enjoying having a 3-day weekend. Things at the office are so hectic with so many short deadlines and last-minute revisions that it's a real treat to be away from that for more than a regulation weekend. No big plans today. We're just hanging around the house doing our personal projects and playing it by ear. With the fridge and freezer on the blink, we'll probably eat out later.
We had a 99F record high for May 28th and Memorial Day, yesterday.

The root canal went fine, no pain at all. The dentist was excellent. The only down side is having to wait a few weeks for the crown to be put on. I have to be careful what I eat and make sure I chew on the other side.

Henry (my 9 year old) went with me and was perfectly behaved. The dentist even showed him my x-ray and explained to Henry what he was doing the whole time.
