Days to the Season: 111
Days to Christmas Day: 153

And that first figure informs us that we are now only ELEVEN days away from the 100-day Season Window.
So tantalizingly close to SINGLE DIGITS!
(Can we really be this far along, Folks?)

Rain continues off and on as predicted. Fortunately more off than on, allowing some outdoor work between raindrops.
Today will see more of the same, with highs in the mid-80's.
This center day of the week has commenced here at a drippy 75 degrees.

Carl is acutely aware of how rapidly the summer seems to be passing and wants this evening's open house activities to reflect a continued commitment to our current season and to encourage enjoying it to the fullest.
Don't miss the fun tonight, and bring your appetites. (Rumor has it that a brand new beverage blend will be tried out on willing guinea pigs.)

Hey friends! going on about eight hours sleep from the last two nights...total. I'm exhausted.

Kids are watching movie and the oldest just had a lip sucking, snot pouring, crying fit because the person on the movie made their dog go outside in the snow...she kept saying it was a "gum'dad shame" they did they did that to their dog.
 
Well, I couldn’t make thru another Valarie QVC CIJ without buying something else.

I think I’m hooked on QVC.
Speaking of that, we made several purchases of the Lock and Lock plastic storage containers. Let me tell you, throw away all your old Tupperware and plastic containers. The Lock and Lock are the best food storage plastic containers that I have ever owned.
Get this, how many times have you ever heated up spaghetti sauce or gravy and the container gets stained, like kinda melted on the inside. Nope, not those Look and Locks, I heated some sauce in one several times and it never stained it. Cleans up fantastically and it’s dishwasher safe. The best I have ever owned.

I threw away all my old Tupperware and plastic containers. You all gotta try these things, they are just wonderful.

Good morning, Christmas fantatics. For a change, I have an update of my own today. Last evening was too fantastic not to share.

My dear son and daughter-in-law got the whole family together to announce the gender of the child they are expecting this December on my birthday. (It will be great having another Christmas baby in the family!) They are having a boy. This will be our first (of many, I hope) grandchildren. All are very excited to welcome this precious little one into the family!!!

Also, the kids had a conference behind closed doors after the big baby announcement. After they let me and my wife into the room, they told us that they are taking us to Frankenmuth for a day next month to celebrate our 30th anniversary. A day of all of us hanging around and enjoying the city (BRONNER’S!!!!) and ending with a room all to ourselves at Zehnder’s for a chicken dinner, conversation, and games.
