Happy Anniversary to your Mom and Dad!
Hope Jazzie is better and you can catch up on some sleep this weekend!
Thank you, SFM!!
Jazzie seemed to be better but got sick this afternoon again. She is so happy to have Mom & Dad home again, though :) I slept like a rock last night, it was so nice.

Happy Saturday! I am just having coffee and relaxing. Today my daughter and I are headed to Walmart to get her remaining items for camp and then I want to pop into Homegoods, one of my favorite stores! Tonight we are having our friends over for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!
Hope you had fun at Homegoods, I love that store too. Their seasonal & holiday decorations are gorgeous!!
Did you find anything?
Hope you had a great time with your friends tonight!

Good evening, friends~

Hope you all had a wonderful Saturday!!

We had a nice time with my parents, and were on the go most of the day. It was gorgeous outside!

The girls had fun on walks, car rides, and sunning themselves in the deck.

Dinner out to celebrate was really nice, too. We are still stuffed!

Enjoy what’s left of your night!

Sleep well~

Hope you all have a great day..I am so happy we finally have a dry day with low humidity.

Good Morning, Everybody.

As we move further into the last weekend of July (that's right, the LAST weekend of July) we begin to realize just how fast the year is slipping through our fingers.
Why, in a scant two months, we will be launching the Christmas Blossoms thread, a sure sign that our beloved Season is just around the corner!

But we are getting ahead of ourselves.
Let's look at the current numbers:
Days to the Season: 107
Days to Christmas Day: 149

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, we will arrive at and pass through the 100-Day Season Window and begin a double-digit count to Christmas Season Day 1.
(Well, what do you know about that, now!)

Very warm and humid all day yesterday, with a brief afternoon rain that only added to the moisture.
Today has started off quite damp and humid again, but at least it's bright with the sun trying to peek through.
Our present temperature reading is 76.

Have a Super Sunday and enjoy the balance of your weekend, Folks!

Merry Sunday!
It’s going to be cloudy with a high of 84 degrees. Not too much going on here today. I tidied up the house and started laundry so far. I’m just having a cup of coffee right now and relaxing for a few minutes. We have plans to go out for dinner later tonight with the girls and their boyfriends. We’re going to my favorite Italian restaurant, should be fun. I hope everyone is well and has a beautiful day!
xx

Off to a quiet start this morning, working on my 2nd cup of coffee and chilling on the couch surfing thru QVC and Amazon looking for things.
Last night, we went to another town and while we were there we stopped at a PetSmart to pick up a few items for our kitties. While inside a bad thunderstorm went right over the store and it was just pouring outside. So, we browsed around and then went over to their adoption area.

Ohhhh, my goodness, they kittens galore. They were all so darn cute. We couldn’t resist....
Yup, we submitted paperwork to apply to adopt one of them. We fell in love with 2 of them, but decided to try and adopt just one of them. Here’s a couple of pictures:

Thanks Crown! Off to another big week!

Hello all.

Yesterday we went to the Blues Festival, it was a lot of fun. Smaller than I expected but still a good time. Really good food!
The main attraction was Samantha Fish, a young blues artist who has 5 albums out. I think it is 5 anyway.
She was really good, though the sound was not great in the big barn, but she put on a good show and did autographs and pictures afterwards. My dad is a big fan and got her autograph and got to take a picture with her.

I just finished another chapter of my thesis. I need to go back and do some editing on a previous chapter, but things are moving along nicely. I will probably have two, maybe three, more chapters plus the conclusion.

Today is Nathan's last day at home before he leaves for the Army. We will drop him off around 11:30 tomorrow morning and will probably not see him until Christmas time. We will get to talk to him a couple of times on the phone and we will write to him regularly.

We had an interesting conversation the other evening. He was finally realizing that he was becoming an adult and going to be on his own. He started asking questions like, "so when you're an adult and out of the house, how do birthday's work?" "How will Christmases work when I am an stationed somewhere far away?" It was a good conversation and nice to see he is thinking about how things will be different.

Well, everyone have a great Sunday!

I will keep Nathan in prayer. A big thanks to him for defending our nation.
