Everyone, have a great evening! See you at the pines!

Hello everyone! It turned very cold and has snowed on and off today. Yesterday was cold and rainy so I rested most of the day as that is the kind of weather that bothers my health conditions the most! I haven't been too productive today either, come to think of it! I have a roast and potatoes and carrots in the oven so at least that is done and the house smells amazing. Of course, my mind is busy with the thoughts of how can I cram more Christmas trees in my house this year! Last year I had all of mine up with the exception of a four foot white one I had purchased on clearance the year before. I think I have found a spot, and think all red and green decorations would look great on him, but now I am thinking I would love to find an all red tree and do all green and silver decorations! I swear I think about and plan my Christmas trees all year! I can only admit that here though as everyone else thinks I'm crazy! But I know everyone here will understand!

Everyone needs a project to dream about and plan for throughout the year! It keeps us happy and involved with Christmas. Don't forget to post pictures of those gorgeous trees when they're decorated!

It's been a while since I've been here (I posted a few days ago on the Chit Chat page.)
I wanted to get all caught up before posting, but......that may take me a while.
I shared in the Chit Chat section that our holidays were a little different this year. My step-son died at age 37 on 2/19/17 & my husband died at age 59 on 11/15/17.
I don't even know if I had custody of my grandson yet the last time I posted here. Thankfully, I had signed up for e-mails & while they didn't bring me back here right away, they eventually did. :)
Hope everyone is well. I will continue to read & hopefully will get current with the posts on the countdown.

My goodness, reading the posts from the past couple of days and so many folks out there are sick. I hope that everyone can feel better soon.
I am going thru hand sanitizer and washing my hands with soap and water like crazy. Especially if I am out and I purchase something and I had to use a keypad or one of those pens by the cash register. I'm paranoid about getting the flu again. Last year, it took me down and kicked my booty, big time. Jill and I both caught it at the same time and we were both in bed, sick, for over a week. And then it felt like it took two more additional weeks to get back to ourselves.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Husband and step-son.

Tonight, on my way home from work, I saw that several people still have their Christmas lights up and lit. For me, that sure is a soul lifting sight to see that. I think it's wonderful to see those beautiful lights still lit.

Sadly, for us, we took the tree down, had to! Our kitten, just decimated it. The tree looked like a rag-a-muffin/ Charlie Brown Christmas tree, by the time she was done with it. There were little pieces of it all over the floor. We still have other decorations out though and we still have a Christmas swag lit at night and my Jim Shore Santa's are still out. This is the second year in a row that I bought one of them. I think a new tradition is starting!

I also still have my MMC Christmas Cards out too. I'm hoping to keep them up for another few more weeks; hopefully, into February. They just look so nice, I just get so bummed out when it becomes time to put things away.

Morning MMC. A chilly morning here but hey it's January and we haven't had any snow in the last 7 days. Speaking of the next 7 days instead, the weather guy last night mentions next Wednesday is the end of January and the newscaster immediately says "Wait wasn't it just New Years Eve like 2 minutes ago?" That's how I feel too and usually January and February go slow to me. Anyway, most importantly today I wish you all a HAPPY RUDOLPH DAY #1! Enjoy your Friday EVE!

I’m so sorry for your losses Christmasgranny {{{hugs}}}

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Thursday!
It’s goimg to be colder today with a high of 33, we’re currently at 22 degrees. I’ll be heading out this morning, my youngest has a dentist appointment. I need to stop at the pet store afterward to pick up a few things. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be fried chicken and a broccoli rice casserole. That’s about it for me. Hope everyone is well. Wishing all of you a wonderful day!
xx

Bless your heart! I'm so sorry for your losses. I will include you in my prayers.

I'm glad you found your way back here!

Good Morning, Guys.

Over the hump and on the back slope to the weekend!

And let's grease that slope with the latest exciting count numbers:
Days to the Season: 292
Days to Christmas Day: 334

If that's not exciting enough, try this on for size -- the ONE QUARTER marker to Christmas Season 2018 stands just 18 days ahead. Barely over 2 1/2 weeks.
(Now that should make this final leg to the weekend all that more enjoyable!)

Well, the rain disappeared yesterday but the colder weather has returned, with our starting temperature this morning being 30 degrees.
We will remain chilly today, then really turn cold tonight when we dip back down into the 20's.
(Mother Nature never lets us get too complacent this time of year!)

But regardless of your weather situation, you keep the Christmas faith and its message, as you have a Totally Thrilling Thursday, Folks!

Happy first Rudolph Day of the year, Christmas friends!

We went to the Convention Center in Savannah last night to watch Elizabeth compete against other Beta Club members in their special talents. Those talents ranged from dance to juggling while riding a unicycle. It was awesome!

The only issue I had was getting Elizabeth's music to the sound & light guy. Nancy handed me the CD case, I took it to him, he opened it to show me an empty case. She was about to go on stage and the car was 3/4 of a mile away. I ran the whole way to the car (not kidding), and most of the way back to the stage before I lost steam. They allowed her to compete after the act that was supposed to follow her, though, so it worked out. My legs are still cramping from that run, though LOL.

And the rest of the evening, Nancy was watching me for signs of another heart attack. I was just tired! I don't run anymore...unless something's chasing me, anyway. ;)

We'll find out the results of the competition this evening.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday Eve!! I got a text from a friend today - it was a minion with the saying: If TGIF is Thank God It's Friday, then today must be SH*T! Sure Happy It's Thursday! HA!! (Made me laugh!)

Merry 1st Rudolph Day of 2018!!!

Well my new tree came yesterday! I'm kinda disappointed in it! Here is the tree in the picture I ordered.

Here is the tree I received.

I was happy with it until I put the top piece on. It almost looks like they sent me the wrong topper???? Believe me, I tried fluffing it!

I will try putting lights & garland on it & see what it looks like, but I'll most likely be contacting Amazon!

Well last night I went to the Dollar General. They had 2 Christmas tables & everything was 10 cents or less!! I picked up some blue/silver & frosted purple things for my winter tree. Can't beat the price!!!

Anybody doing anything to celebrate Rudolph Day today?? Regardless, I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

One month ago right now we were knee deep in our Christmas Eve festivities. I can't believe a whole month has passed. I remember that day like it was last week. Time is a flying so we better the most of it. Good night everyone.
And last month at this time I was waiting for my husband to wake up so he could open his presents!!! LOL! Seems like yesterday!!
