Good Friday late morning! A true Fall day today, with rain and winds picking up. I'll be leaving for work soon, working the afternoon/evening shift. Hopefully the rain will die down a bit or else just running to my car I'll be drenched. Have a great day everyone!

Music Choice - Sounds of the Season has shifted into "Bers" gear. Oktoberfest tunes have been going for awhile, Halloween will follow, and when the ghouls and goblins disappear it is time for the really good stuff.

Nice! I love it when everything starts changing back over to the fall and winter Holidays. It’s even better when you can hear music to go along with that.

Happy Thursday...we have temps in the low 70's, definitely starting to feel like fall. Yesterday I noticed some of the leaves were changing and we have more fallen leaves in our yard. Tonight I have open house for my youngest daughter, only an hour so not too bad.

I saw that too from the woods in my backyard, and I noticed that there were leaves on the ground. At first I thought, nah, couldn’t be! But, then I realized by gosh, we will be in the first of October soon. Falls a coming!!!

Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday Eve!! I haven't looked sooooooo forward to a weekend for a long time!!! LOL!!! I'm at my old job this morning & I'll head to the new job this afternoon. Tomorrow morning I have to bring Mandy (Amishville) home, so I'm planning to come to my "normal" job for the rest of the morning! Sounds like every day I'll be working at both places until the end of the year. What a yo-yo!!!

Everybody is very nice at the new job. I'm just frazzled by all of it! Holy Hannah!! They do things so different from my "normal"! It will take some getting use too. But the building is beautiful. Nice offices & clean. There is a nice kitchen/bar area right behind my desk, which makes it feel very Homey! I think it will be ok, it will just take some time!

My sister had her knee replaced yesterday. Sounds like all went well & hopefully she'll get to come home today.

What a week!

Good day folks! I took off from work the past 3 days so as I could go and see a primary care doctor up here in Connecticut and go to the Connecticut DMV, to get a drivers license and tags.

I had a primary care doc in Maryland, but since I’ve moved, I have not been to a doc for a general checkup. I also had to get blood work done yesterday, but the nurse who was trying to get it out of me, couldn’t. She poked, probed in both my arms to hit a vein with no luck. Oh, that didn’t feel to good with that needle digging around inside my arm. So, I went back again this morning, had a different nurse, and bop, she hit it on the first attempt.

As far as the Connecticut DMV is concerned, I would rather of had the nurse digging around in my arm with a needle then having to be here.
Yup, day 2, and I am still at the Connecticut DMV still trying to finish getting my tags. I got my license yesterday after 2 trips to the DMV and spending all day there. And I mean, all day there. I’m sitting on the floor here now at the DMV and it’s going to be another long day here. My ticket number is 565 and they are on 550 and it’s already after 11. Oh, so much fun!!!!!

Ugh...good luck, I hope it moves quicker that you're anticipating!!

What fun you are going to have decorating!

Yesterday as the office manage was showing me around what was in the kitchen/bar area cupboards, she opened up a cupboard full of pumpkins/fall decorations! I told her it was time for those to come out! Then she opened up more cupboards & said the Christmas decorations were in there. I told her that I would break the news to her right away ~ I'm a Christmas nut!! ~ She said "Good, then you can put up the tree!!" That sure doesn't break my heart!!

It sure was noisy around here a bit ago ~ lots of birds in the neighborhood. This is area is in a flyway and this particular group was flying West. Palmer and one of the chipmunks were scared. Palmer hid under the kitchen table, but the chipmunk sat on part of the old satellite dish, head tilted tail all puffed out, looking out into the woods trying to see what all the noise was. So cute!

Back to my research.

The tree frogs have been going crazy here lately. Love to listen to them!!!

One more day to go, friends. The weekend is almost near. And, of course, another sign that our season so much closer - the world celebrates Autumn Equinox on Saturday!

Just wanted to say thank you for all of the prayers and positive vibes for Harlowe today.
Her appointment went really well, I’m so relieved!!
I cried happy tears, and am so elated! This is the first time her stage hasn’t changed/progressed. Her murmur is louder, and levels have increased but only ever so slightly.

I will catch up here tomorrow, we are quite exhausted.

It’s surreal isn’t! I really love that also. With the smell of Autum in the air, it’s the perfect time to lit up a pumpkin spice or harvest candle inside too!

Good Morning, MMC~

Merry Pines Day!

A rainy Wednesday here. Storms continue through tomorrow as we travel to the Twin Cities for Harlowe's annual cardiology appointment. My sister is coming along for support-she joins us every year. Harlowe adores her auntie, and it really helps keep me more calm.

Please keep my Mom in your prayers~ she wasn't feeling well over the weekend, and went in to urgent care Monday night. She was there for 7 hours, they did a lot of tests, and found out she has pneumonia. She is at home now, resting and on some strong antibiotics. I worry extra because she is a senior, and I know it's more difficult to kick.

A typical day here. Work, a few meetings, and then getting ready for tomorrow.

I’m sorry to hear about your mom being ill with pneumonia SF. That’s definitely nothing to play around with, very serious stuff and that was good that she went to a clinic to get checked out. I will pray for her to heal and that the antibiotics kill the nasties inside her.

Has she had a pneumonia shot?

I got up from my desk to grab water and saw these 2 taking their morning naps! LOL... Andre is giving me his side eye and Leo is all chilled and relaxed on his back..(don't mind all the blankets, we keep them on the couches for the pups. )View attachment 49124

Your poor Mom...she is the 3rd case of pneumonia I have heard of..crazy..hope she is better soon!
My brother has a confirmed case of the flu, was diagnosed Monday morning. He is on Tamiflu and is starting to feel a bit better.

The Flu? Already? Oh my gosh! It’s starting already this year? I gotta get my flu shot ASAP! I hope he feels better soon.

Laundry is done and 4 loaves of sweet potato raisin bread just came out of the oven. Maybe I should shoot for 3 hours of sleep every night. Lol!

Sweet potato raisin bread, I’ve never tried that before, man that sounds good. I could go for a slice or two of that, warm with some butter on it!

Happy Friday MMC! Hope you're all feeling well as we head towards the transition this weekend from Summer to Autumn. Truly the greatest, by far, of the 4 seasons begins this weekend. And what a great way to start it with some Halloween shows. Other than that I may go hiking with my friend. Hope you all enjoy your TGIF!
