We've got it! It is currently 46 degrees with light rain.

Good Monday OCTOBER FIRST!!, Christmas friends!!

It's going to 90° all week, but who cares? It's October!!

I want to decorate the front porch for Fall, but I got carried away with Precious, the pressure washer, Saturday afternoon while cleaning the porch. The painted columns were looking ratty, and the painted parts of the brick steps, too. I hit them with the washer and the paint flew off, so I decided to really knock off the old paint and re-paint this week. What was I thinking?!?

As if Nancy doesn't already have plenty of honey-do's for me.

Good Morning, Folks!
A new week has arrived along with a new month.
The second month of the 'bers.
The month of Halloween and the beginning of the Home Stretch to Christmas Season 2018!
And speaking of Halloween, it's time once again to add a line to our count list.

Days to Halloween: 30
Days to the Season: 43
Days to Christmas Day: 85

And our Milestone situation?
Well, as alluded to above, we are rapidly approaching the Ninety Percent, Home Stretch mark to the Season.
In fact, that point will be reached just SIX days from today's date.
That's UNDER a week, Guys!

Pretty nice here yesterday. The humidity was not too bad, we had plenty of sun and the rain stayed away.
In fact, most all of this week is predicted to be nice, with highs in the low to mid 80's and little chance of precipitation.
The new week here has commenced at 64 degrees.

SIX Days? Does that mean we'll be celebrating the next Milestone on the very same day that I will be indulging in delicious Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and all the other fixings?! I can't wait!

Merry October, everyone!

I love this time of year. It seems there is something to look forward to every week. We celebrate our Thanksgiving this upcoming weekend. Then, my dad will be coming up a week after that. And, of course, who can forget the fact that all the Halloween specials will soon follow after the end of the month? Lastly, who will see the first Christmas commercial? I used to always see it about a week before Halloween. As of late, however, I think the networks have done an excellent job delaying the Christmas advertisements until shortly after the kids have enjoyed their Trick-or-Treating.

Either way, I look forward to experiencing the suspense of the first Christmas commercial of the Season. I also look forward to everyone sharing their experiences, too!

I love it, too! I saw some folks complaining on Facebook about already seeing Christmas decorations, and even TV commercials. I just laughed and replied, "#nevertoosoon". LOL

Same to you, Brad. Commercials already? I don't think that's true.

I would have laughed, too, especially since the fact that Christmas decorations are always out this time of year. It's the same thing every year, I guess. We enjoy and marvel in the wonders of the Season while they complain and use the same complaints year-after-year. #nevertoosoon, indeed!

Happy first day of October!
My daughters bridal shower is only two and a half weeks away now, the time is going by so fast. I’m running out to do some more shopping for her today. Other than that I will be working on the laundry and dinner will be Italian wedding soup. That’s about it for me.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Monday...Merry October!! I can't believe it's October!!! How in the world did that happen??? I can't milk it anymore "But, it's my birthday month" Ha ha ha!!!
We had such a nice weekend. What perfect weather. It was a little chilly watching the Buckeyes on the big screen outside Saturday night, but nothing my OSU snuggie & a bonfire didn't help out with! The chili was awesome! You just can't beat soup over the fire! We all had a great time! We met some fun people from Cleveland (friends of our lake neighbors who came out for the game/soup) They are husband/wife dentists up there & we just had a blast with them! Hope they come back again!

Yesterday I got home from the lake & set my pumpkins/mums outside. The local grocery store had pumpkins (big ones!) for $.99 on Saturday! So I stocked up. What a deal!! There was a party in the park across the street from our house yesterday afternoon, where a local DJ played his top 50 (most played) songs over the last 25 years (it was his 25th anniversary party) - so I sat out on the patio & listened to him, while watching the Browns on the patio TV that my hubby just hung up out there a few weeks ago. It was so nice! Even though the Browns lost! The #1 song over the last 25 years was Little Willy Willy Won't ... Go Home...

It only reached a high in the 40's, and was raining-so we had a good laugh about that. It's either really warm, or cold when she comes each early Fall. We bundled up and listened to Christmas music on our country drives to the shops, and picked up some Autumn coffee blends. We did also stop for a cider doughnut!

I know! We definitely don't have the theft issue at my home store. The store I was at is on a bus route to and from Camden, which is a pretty bad area about a half hour away from us.

What a sad 30 hours it has been....

Got a call late yesterday afternoon that 4 of our students were involved in a shooting. Spurred our district leadership team into high swing as we started piecing together what happened, who was impacted, and how to best set up school for the day. That took us through about 11:00 last night, then we hit the door early this morning. School assembly, counseling, visits with police, parents, etc...

I'm drained.

I've never been as sad as I am, now. You get attached to these kids, love on them, try to help them....and when they start shooting at each other, you are exactly sure how to respond.

I don't know who you talk to when you go to bed at night, but if you don't mind...say an prayer for ol'Ballcoach's kids. Some of them are in a really sad spot.

I can't believe we are in October already!? Wow!!
Winter is coming, and we are expecting the first snow any day now.

I have not been feeling so good the last six months
Tried some new medizine (for my chronic migraine/headaches)
but they just got me extremely tired and depressed
I spend almost all summer in bed.
So I'm off any medications, which I like best.
(but i
I just have to learn to live with the pain I guess.
I definitely don't want to try any more meds..

Today it's sunny and 33 F, and I hope to get out in the woods later this afternoon.
I always feel good out in the nature. Best medicine, and with no side effects!

But I have missed you guys. And I miss beeing here daily.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers
I will now, try to catch-up here!
