Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Thursday morning! It’s 4am and I can’t sleep anymore, even though I went to bed around 11:30pm after work last evening. Stuck doing a third afternoon/evening shift today due to some unforseen circumstances. And I still am training the two new assistant-managers so I’ll have to go in early yet again to try and get some work done as tomorrow is my last work day before my vacation. Snow is on its way overnight tonight and tomorrow. It could’ve waited. Have a great day ahead everyone!

Good morning MMC!

Haven't been here for a couple days – just wanted to pop in and let you all know that we had to say goodbye to Mom yesterday! She passed away around 4 PM. She's in a better place!

This morning we had ice, now it has turned to rain, expecting snow for most of the day. I hope it turns to snow soon as I am cleaning carpets and getting ready to put up my sunroom Christmas tree. Going to need some extra lights in the house on these dark nights to make me smile!

We have to meet with the funeral director this afternoon and then the priest after. We are figuring we will have her viewing Sunday afternoon and her funeral mass Monday morning. I'm glad she is no longer struggling but it stinks.

Everyone, have a Good Friday Eve!!

[Classic Christmas]

Had our first snow day of the year yesterday (I'm a high school teacher). While snow days are nice, not a week before American Thanksgiving, please! (I'd move from here if we ever had one a week before Canadian Thanksgiving).

We've got around 16-18 inches over the last three days, and it's all staying. Temps not rising above 35F. It looks like late-December here. It's pretty, though, and looks VERY Christmasy.

It helps get one in the spirit of the season driving to work in the morning, listening to the classic Christmas songs on SiriusXM channel 3, and seeing the snow-covered landscape.

Morning MMC! It's COLD out. In the 20s and we have some snow coming this afternoon. Should be only a light accumulation here but then some sleet & rain. Not a nice day. 1 week till Turkey Time. Best wishes for your dad HMG. Have a great day!

Merry Thursday!
We’re expecting a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain later today, hopefully it won’t be too bad. I always worry about the girls driving around in that kind of weather. I’m going to head out early today, I have to pick up a couple of things at Target. Back home afterward to work on the laundry and prep dinner, I’m making fried chicken, baked macaroni & cheese and roasted asparagus. I’ll spend the afternoon visiting my father in the hospital. And I’ll be watching the Islanders/Rangers game tonight. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good Morning! We are supposed to get the wintry snow mix this am then it will turn to rain which means when I drop Carolina off at school it will just be raining. While she is at school I will head to target for a few things. I will be able to come home before it is time to go pick her up to see her schools Happy Hat Parade. Yes, it is nice to have thanksgiving in October, no snow, great roads and more time to digest before Christmas !
Love listening to Christmas music, have it on every day. Never understood these people who complain about it. Some of the best music around.

Well What was supposed to be our first snow storm of the season turned out to be an ice storm. We ended up with about a third of an inch. Pretty much all of the school districts closed and roads were a mess. It’s warming up now though and it’s starting to melt. We still might see some snow this afternoon but it should only be a dusting. I hope everyone has a great day!!
