Christmas Countdown - 2018

It’s been a long day but everything is ready for tomorrow. I think the hardest thing I’ll have to do in the morning is mixing up the glaze for the carrots. So I should be able to enjoy the parade for the first time in years.

What a fun evening! Mr. suggested watching “Miracle on 34th Street” (1947), and I jumped at the chance. Watched it while sipping eggnog. What a great movie!

Got the lights on the front-room tree, and set up the TV-room tree, but it still needs some more lights. The garland and ornaments will come later when I have the time. It’s beginning to feel like Christmastime. Plus the Macy’s parade and the turkey feast tomorrow!

Mrs. Bear and I will be erecting the tree at her place this weekend... Bauble jiggling and all sorts of early Yuletide conviviality.

Saturday will herald in a shopping trip around London and see the lights of Oxford street, etc.. Also a bit of Harrods and Selfridges window-shoppage.

Wow! What a productive couple of hours I’ve had! I made 2 pumpkin, a pumpkin pecan, and a apple crumb pie. I also made a pumpkin roll, pumpkin chocolate chip and apple crumb breads. I’ll make some cinnamon rolls in the am and then we’ll cook for lunch. We’re having turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, stuffing balls, cranberry salad, picked eggs, and rolls. There will be 14 of us and we’ll have lots of food, but I’m looking forward to it greatly!!!

But it's an important one.

Days to Christmas Day: 33 (Getting close to the ONE MONTH mark!)
(Time is slipping away, Folks.)

Cold but seasonal weather has arrived. A nip in the air is conducive to the Thanksgiving/Christmas Season feel. (Just so long as it's a nip and not a bite!)
We begin this day of thanks at 36 degrees here in our part of MMC Land.

Have Thoroughly Thrilling Thanksgiving Thursday, Everyone.
Don't eat too much, but enjoy!
