Good Sunday morning everyone!
Gosh, it's December 16th already, less than 10 days to Christmas now. Well, at least one thing, I did my Christmas cards finally yesterday, to give my body a break from what I did Friday. They will go in the mail today. I also was able to get some more shopping in via the internet.

Well it's official, our littlest fur baby; Ariel, broke the Christmas tree by climbing up in it continuously. This was only the second year that we have ever set it up since buying it. She has completely crushed, some of the smaller branches, to the point to where they will no longer stay in place. It's probably way too late to get another one, so today, I'm going to try and McGuiver it, to try and make it look somewhat normalish?

Oh well, I will have to look and see if I can find a more better built one. One that wont break to a little 6lb kitty climbing up in it; lol!

Buy a scat mat from Amazon to put around the tree and you won't have any more kitty vs. tree battles!!

Good morning everyone.

It rained all day yesterday and into the evening. It was a soaking kind of rain which knocked out the GFCI outlet for my outside Christmas lights. So no lights last night.

However, last night was great... The BROWNS WON!! They beat Denver for the first time since 1990! The Browns still have a VERY small chance of making the playoffs. While I do not think they will, the fact that they are playing meaningful football games in December is wonderful!

I'm definitely not a Browns fan but living in Ohio I can't help but be happy for them and their fans!!

Good Sunday afternoon everyone! Yesterday my husband and I drove up to visit my parents. 6 hours in the car does me no good with my health issues so I will spend the day relaxing and watching football. But it was a great visit and my dad even made it to the table (which he hasn't been able to do in three weeks) so I was very happy. My sister, brother-in-law, niece, and my Godmother also stopped by so I loved seeing everyone. I need to work on replenishing the freezer with cookie dough and fudge and candy this week so it will be ready for Christmas day. My mom also sent all the grandkids present with me to wrap for her (She HATES wrapping presents, always has, and I love it) so I will work on that this week as well. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Sunday!

I have a theory on that.
As we get older, each year becomes a smaller and smaller percentage of our lives.
At age 5, a year is 20 percent of our entire life. At age 50, it's only 2 percent.
When we are older, a year's worth of experiences seems so few as seen against the backdrop of our past years of life, therefore it seems to pass faster.
What do you think?

I not only like this theory, I find it both interesting and yet fascinating!

Thank you for your son's service.
I hope you get to have a wonderful Christmas before his deployment.
Hopefully the deployment is no more than 6 months.

After my son ends his AIT he has airborne school and RASP (which is the training to be in the Rangers) If he completes them he will be apart of a Ranger battalion and be stationed one of 3 possible bases. His chances of deployment go up significantly as well.

Will you get to see your son much from now until his deployment? I hope you get to spend some time with everyone together.

Sadly, I sort of doubt I will see him much before he leaves. He’s busy, he’s been tied up at the base a lot, prepping to go and all. Most of his spare time he’s spending it with his girlfriend and Christmas.

Good Week Before Christmas MMC! That sounds so real now. And this week it's all about working during the day and Christmas activities in the evenings. It was a very busy weekend but a lot got done for Christmas Eve/Day prep. My brother flies in on Saturday so for now I just need to try to take 1 day at a time at work and finish preparing at home. Have a great Monday!

Merry Monday MMC!
It’s going to be cloudy today with a high of 47 degrees. Rocky has a groomer appointment this morning. I plan on doing some Christmas shopping afterward. My goal for today is to get gifts my daughters fiancés/boyfriend. I’ll work on daily chores in between. Dinner will be Italian wedding soup. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!
xx

Good Monday morning! Another work week starting and it should be very busy as Christmas is so close now. I haven’t been able to get my energy back up after being called to work in the middle of the night for false alarms last week, even after a weekend off. My body is not recuperating like it used to. I’m relaxing as much as I can this morning before heading into work. Have a great start to the week everyone.

Merry Monday!!
Hard to believe we are in the final week before Christmas!!
I wrapped a couple of things yesterday and will finish up this week.
Just work for me and my daughter has basketball practice so I will run to the grocery store and get a few things.
Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks Sugar! The hospital said they would call if test results were positive but so far no calls so I guess that is good

I hope you get a goodnight sleep tonight. I got an alarm call this morning a half hour before I had to leave my house to go in

Thank you!

Your welcome!

Glad to hear that M!

Great news! Praying he is still having good results and is feeling better!

Ugh another school shooting here. At least the school cop was able to take down the shooter before he hurt anyone.

Monday night a 14 year old kid shot and killed a customer at the Dollar General a mile up the street from me during a armed robbery.

I don’t know what’s wrong with people anymore.

What a sad and crazy world we sometimes live in. Praying for everyone involved.

Good Morning, Final Full Week Folks!
Yes, indeedarino.
This is the very last complete week before Christmas Day arrives.

Let's look at the ever more exciting numbers:
Days to Christmas Day: 8
ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW, Guys!

We've been in a pretty good weather pattern the last few days.
Little to no rain, a reasonable amount of sun and moderate temperatures.
Today will actually see us break the 60 degree mark with a zero perdicted chance of precipitation.
We begin this first-day-of-the-last-week at 44 degrees here in central NC.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody!

Thanks Crown! The LAST week before Christmas says it all!

Man the grocery store was a mad house this morning. Everyone must have Christmas parties and baking to do this weekend.

Mom has caught the flu from my niece it seems. I’m coughing a little but hopefully won’t get as bad as her.

So I’m going to make some sugar cookies while I can.

Hope your mom is feeling better and that you aren't getting sick!

crazy times here, lots to do yet this week. Going on a shopping trip with a friend tomorrow and will hopefully finish picking up gifts.
Off to work today, 4 more shifts then off for Christmas!!!
Have a great day everyone

Good morning all,

Windy and a little rain here.

Today should be a nice relaxing day with nothing on my schedule until the Browns game this evening.

I plan on enjoying lots of Christmas music and movies today.

This coming week of school is only 4 days and Thursday is an earlier dismissal (for us teachers too). Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are semester exams which makes those days seem to go on forever.

The exciting thing is that Nathan (my oldest) is coming home on Thursday morning from the Army. We have not seen him since he left for Basic Training in the end of July. He is in AIT (advanced individual training- learning his job) and they get time off for Christmas.

Well, everyone have a great day!

How exciting! Enjoy your visit with him & thank him for his continued service for us!
