Prayers for the entire family!
Thank you sugar! They say he is having strokes in his brain due to the clots. They are not sure what it is but there are a lot of specialists involved. Infectious disease drs won't treat him with medicine until they know exactly what it is. Nothing has grown on the lumbar punctures so they are going to redo those again tomorrow. I wish for once we would have an uneventful Christmas

Okay, let me be the first to pray that Christmas 2019 will be filled with nothing but joy and happiness for yourself and the family.

So, when does everyone start picking up? I just got done taking down my Christmas decoration in the living room. I know I do it early, but when does everyone else do it?

Our normal is New Years Eve. We do not like to out for New Years, so we stay in, have a little wine, watch V for Vendetta, and take down the inside decor. Sometimes the kitchen decorations and our bedroom tree and decorations come down earlier.

The outside stuff is weather dependent. We are suppose to have some nice days so the big outside stuff might come down early this year.

My outdoor stuff will come down before it gets cold this weekend.

The indoor stuff will start coming down this weekend. I’ll start in the bathroom and move to the kitchen. Trees will stay up through New Years.

Awesome NYE tradition. Is V for Vendetta good?

Awesome. How long does it take you to get everything down?

It’ll take me about 3 1/2 days to get it all down and packed away. That’s with cleaning and putting stuff back out as I go. 1/2 day for outside. 1 day for the 4 trees. 1 day for all the Santa’s. Then 1 day for the bathroom, Kitchen, and odds and ends.

My mom wants everything away by new years day so she can start back to school fresh.

Thank you HIB

Quiet day here today, and restful too! We slept in this mornlng and then napped some. Shiloh is all curled up on me as I’m laying on the futon. I’m debating should I get up or just stay put where it is warm and cozy. I will be going to work tomorrow, that 5 day break was fantastic, but, I guess it’s time to get back to reality.

Hi all.

I joined this forum two years ago, when I was feeling the post-Christmas blues. Ever since I was little, I looked forward to Christmas all year long. I love the music, the movies, the lights, decorations, the aura, the history...basically, everything.

I love how early it all starts, but I HATE how it seemingly ends at 9 PM on December 25th. In 12 days fashion, I still love doing Christmas things up until mid-January.

Still though, I just get an empty, hollow feeling, when everyone around me is packing up their Christmas stuff, throwing out their trees, etc.

What are some little ways that you friends keep up the Christmas cheer all year round? Despite me still celebrating through early January, it just doesn't feel the same.

Anyone feel me on this?

Morning MMC! It's still "Christmas Week!" Don't forget that. My 2 coworkers and I had been putting in longer hours the last month or so without putting in the time. My boss caught us and told us that we shouldn't be doing that so she's giving us next Monday off without charging us vacation for it. The funny thing is I have so much vacation I NEED to use time therefore it means I'll take off MLK Day which we don't have as a paid holiday. And I'll also root for a snowstorm or 2 so that I can stay home and use another day or 2 this winter. Happy Last Thursday of 2018!

Good Thursday morning! It’s back to « normal » life today as I work the afternoon/evening shift. This morning we’ll go shopping for the food we need on Saturday for when my family comes over. A little celebrating left to do. Have a great day everyone!

Merry Thursday MMC!
Not too much going on here. I would say it’s a typical day but my routine is slightly off since my husband is on vacation, he doesn’t go back to work until after New Years Day. I have a couple of quick errands to run and I’m trying to catch up with the laundry. I may take a ride to Kohl’s to use my Kohl’s cash. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs. We’ll probably catch up on some shows later tonight. I think that’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
xx
