Just work for me today & then ??? It’s my hubby’s b-day so I imagine he’ll want to go out to eat & maybe out for a drink somewhere after. Maybe I’ll bring him along to the Pines!

A frustrating workday that will be running late ... I can understand errors, but there's also careless preparation of copy and layout that multiplies the errors. Many of the errors I'm marking this afternoon are repeated and preventable, if others would concentrate a little harder on their work! I feel like Grumpy Cat looks ...

Happy Pines Day/Mid-August MMC! A dry day expected here for once. That's a change for sure. Just going to Applebee's for dinner tonight. Other than that focusing on getting as much work done as possible till next week at this time when my little late summer break starts. Hope you all enjoy your day today!

Good Morning, Friends.

And thus we press boldly on into the fourth and final quarter of our Season count.
(I'm afraid to look at what the next Milestone marker will be for fear of fainting, so like Scarlett O'Hara, I will postpone thinking about that until tomorrow.)

For now, we will concentrate on this:
Days to the Season: 90
Days to Christmas Day: 132

Still more rain, yesterday.
Today and the rest of the week? Well, the weather service at last indicates that we may be able to string a few dry days together. (Which is good, because that lawn needs mowing again!)
Currently, we are experiencing sunny skies overlooking a temperature reading of 72 degrees.

Mid-week means open house at the Shispering Pines, of course.
Carl is just beginning to wind down summer-themed treats and entertaiment as he starts to gear up for the 'bers, which are drawing nigh at a rapid pace.
But for now, come enjoy the pool, the refreshing drinks and the tastiest fired twinkies this side of heaven.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I finally have the pool completely clear again! I vacuumed for a couple hours yesterday afternoon (till the thunderstorms rolled in), backwashed & rinsed, chlorinated & balanced, and Polaris-ed. Whew!

We don't even swim much any more, but it has become a point on honor with me. That pool won't beat ME! Plus, our nephews like to come over and swim after school now and then.

Anyway, we're still moving Jacob out, ever-so-slowly.

I watched about a half-hour of Santa Jaws last night. LOL it was so awful, it was funny. The shark had a Santa hat on his dorsal fin, and a string of Christmas lights wrapped around him that he could "fling" out of the water and drag people down. LOLOL!!

Thanks! I love them all so much, of course. I am so enjoying the fact that our large family is constantly getting larger. My dear daughter-in-law (sitting to the right of my wife) is expecting Grandchild #1 this December. A Christmas baby!!!!

So exciting! And what fun timing!! ♥ We just found out my oldest nephew & his wife are expecting baby #1 in February. That will be the 6th new addition to our family in 13 months! Whew! Christmas just keeps getting more & more crowded/fun!

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It’s going to be hot and humid with highs near 90 degrees. Not too much going on here today. I’m kind of sleepy, we got in late last night. Had a really nice time at my parents house though so it was well worth it. I’m just playing with Rocky and having my coffee right now. I’m going to the pet store later to pick up a couple of new dog toys. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs, mozzarella bread and a tossed salad. I guess that’s it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day. See you tonight!

My little stink pot has been busy in the middle of the night. My hubby let the walk in closet door open again! (since it's his bday, I'll forgive him ) She drug out all kinds of things! She's just been so ornery!!
