Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Morning .. Well my kids started school today ... I now have a senior and a 7th grader and I am still trying to wrap my head around my daughter being a senior. I can still remember when she was starting 7th grade and now my son is in 7th grade. Hubby and I are going to go do some window shopping and maybe of we are lucky pick up a couple more gifts for Christmas.

Good Morning, Friendly Friends!

And I'm feeling extra friendly today after my mall walk yesterday, during which I spotted the "A Christmas To Remember" shop getting ready to open!

This makes me feel even friendlier this morning:
Days to the Season: 68
Days to Christmas Day: 110

And the frosting on the cake?

The 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW is now only TEN days ahead.
SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow, Guys!
(You just might be feeling a bit friendlier now, yourselves!)

No break from the heat.
No break from the humidity.
No break from the mosquitoes.
(Doesn't Mother Nature realize we are now in the 'bers? Get with it, Ms. N!)
Today and tomorrow will see more of the same, with our high in the 90's.
It's supposed to be a tad cooler over the weekend, though.
We are at 74 degrees here right now, and I can already feel today's dampness installment.

Happy Hump Day and Happy Pines Day!

I took off work today due to an odd check engine light, came on in my truck and so I took it to the dealer. Apparently, the truck needed a computer software upgrade that was supposed to of been done in 2012. So, I did that and while it was there, I got the oil changed (15 quarts), oil filter, fuel filters replaced and transmission oil and filter changed too! But, I was back at the house by 1 and then I spent the rest of the afternoon outside and in the garage putting together a new grill for the back deck. I have not had a grille or have grilled since 2015, and I so much missed not having one. This weekend, we are going to seriously break that bad boy in!

Hopefully we are on our last day of this heat! They are saying we may get some storms tonight. My youngest has her first softball practice tonight and game on Sunday. Typical work day for me and I have a couple of errand to run later. Hope you all have a great day!!

Good Thursday morning! There is a wonderful strong breeze going through the appartment right now. This cool down will be a bit drastic though as they predict a high of only 18°C/64°F by the weekend. I'm waiting for some grey skies to pass to do some laundry and hang it out to dry. We have some grocery shopping to do before David's physio appoitment today and then the day is wide open for whatever we feel like doing. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve! Woot!

Not much up for today besides work. It was supposed to cool off a little/rain today - now we have a high predicted of 81º (which is better than the 94º we had yesterday!) & our chance of rain is at 50%! I guess we will find out! It's sunny for now! I want to run to the grocery after work & to Dollar General ~ I need some things from there, but I want to check out their fall decs!

Tomorrow is meet the teacher day at Carolinas school. Her nursery school is located at our church so she knows the teacher already. This will give her a chance to see the classroom and meet some kids in her clas. Then we will have lunch with my best friend

Morning MMC! It's a September Sweatfest here. The cooldown begins on Friday though but then we have some cloudy and wet weather too expected. September is such a transition month. Tonight we have the NFL starting up. If you're a football fan you understand how important that is. Have a great Friday Eve!

It’s goimg to be hot and humid today, chance of a thunderstorm later tonight. I will be heading to my youngest daughters apartment this morning, her living room furniture is being delivered and I would like to be there with her. Hopefully they’ll show up on the earlier end of the time frame they gave her and not later so I can get back home to work on some chores around the house. We also have to attend the wake this evening.

Wow - that is a cool down!! We only have a high of 68 predicted for Saturday! That will be quite the change! I just hope it doesn't rain for Buckeye game day! EEK!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

We had a great dinner for Jacob last night. We gave him his choice of restaurants, and he picked Olive Garden. I really like the Shrimp & Chicken Carbonara, so I was happy, too LOL. He's doing good, putting on a brave face after his breakup, and he really seemed to enjoy the dinner party.

It'll be in the 90's and humid for the foreseeable future, but it's still the Ber's!
