Hope you stay safe from Florence!!! xxBelieve me, we are keeping a weather eye on it.
Got several more days to watch before things get certain.

Let me check with my friend who told me about this. I'm pretty sure I just put them on aluminum foil, but I'm sure you could put them in an aluminum pan. I remember cooking them until you could see them starting to break down - brown sugar is all melty/bubbly!Sounds like a plan to me, I'm going to give it a try. Thank you Holiday
I've never heard of this but it sounds yummy. How long do you bake them for? And it what type of pan?
I hope everyone is doing well on this somber September 11th morning. It’s a day of remembrance for those who gave and lost their lives. I know none of us will ever forget.
It’s going to be another cloudy and rainy day. Not too much going on here, I have to do some food shopping this morning. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. Dinner will be tacos.
I tried to do some decorating last night and I had a difficult time with Rocky. He is a very high strung puppy and decided he wanted to attack everything I took out. It was very frustrating. I decided my Autumn decor will be light this year. I ended up putting out a few things in places he couldn’t reach. It might be for the best because I’ve kind of been overwhelmed with my daughters wedding plans, it will be good to simplify. I am worried about how Rocky will be with my Christmas trees. Hopefully he’ll eventually calm down.
I hope everyone has a nice day.
xx
Happy Tuesday...on this somber day, I cannot believe it is 17 years since that day.
Typical day of work and tonight I have my oldest daughter's open house at school. Continued prayers for all those in Florence's path...I hope everyone is safe.
Have a good day!
@snowflake22 I’m sending positive thoughts your way regarding Adrian’s professionnal change and Harlowe’s health.
Happy Tuesday, Holiday!Good morning MMC!! Merry Tuesday!! Seems like I've been gone from here for a really long time, even though it was just a 3 day weekend!!
The Buckeye game was fun & extra super wet!!! UGH!! We had rain suits, but they still got soaked through. We left the game at the end of the 3rd b/c it was just miserable. 3/4 of the stadium was leaving. The rain just wouldn't stop...and it was cold!! We walked over 2 miles to see/surprise my nephew & his girlfriend at the sports bar they were at & they were just getting into their Uber! LOL! Bad timing. We got to talk to them for about 2 minutes! But it was a good time. We got back to our friends house & I put on my flannel jammies & they felt awesome!!! The "slumber party" was a lot of fun!!
My day off yesterday was spent making soup, went to the lake, went grocery shopping, visiting at moms & on the phone over 3 hours w/ family & another family who is starting with Amish help - trying to figure out Amish drama. Aren't they supposed to live the "simple life??"
Back to the grind today!!!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend & your week has been off to a great start!

Yikes!! I thought 55º was cold!! Tonight we are supposed to get down to 54º! Such a change from "feels like 100º"Good Saturday morning! It turned downright cold overnight. It was only 8°C/46°F this morning. That’s too much of a drop in temperatures for my liking. Right now David is doing some shopping so I’m just relaxing at home with Loki, before we head out for a drive to some orchards and farmers markets to find some delicious foods. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!
It happens to me all the time. I find a few minutes to drop in and post what's happening in my life or just something silly, and I don't always get a chance to thoroughly read back. I've put my digital foot in my digital mouth around here more than once, and I appreciate you guys not holding it against me.Y'all, I'm sorry.
Yesterday, I was pretty insensitive. I didn't read all the posts and just put my little football thing on here and moved on to my day. When I went back and read all the posts, I felt like a jerk. There are some of us who are having some issues and I didn't even acknowledge that. I'm sorry. When you compare life's issues to football, it doesn't even come close to comparing. I'm sorry. I wasn't ignoring or trying to be a jerk. I'm praying for y'all.
God bless you.
I hope the weekend helped you to relax & start to feel more like yourself again! xxAs for a lot of you, our temps and humidity went way down last night, and it's almost like fall outside. We're planning on a long walk later today to take advantage of the friendly temps.
Just getting some stuff done around the house and trying to take it easy. Last weekend was kind of nightmarish; I'm trying to get back to feeling like myself again. Some tea and crochet might help later.
Wellllll - our Browns didn't get beat, but they didn't win either!!!Hello all,
Wow is it rainy! It has rained non-stop since yesterday afternoon and is not suppose to stop until Monday morning! We could see a total of over 5 inches or rain. Our Little League football game for tomorrow has already been cancelled due to the poor field conditions.
I am really happy football season is truly back! I am watching my Notre Dame Fighting Irish today and I am hoping my Brownies can beat the Steelers tomorrow.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
It's great to have you home again! I thought of you a couple days ago, and I should have sent you a message. See my post above. LOLGood evening,
2 days in a row!
Christmas is slowly starting to bloom, Kohl's website has already started selling Christmas t shirts, none have caught my eye yet, but my collection of Christmas shirts has gotten large over the years. I still look for more.
My thoughts are with you all going through changes, tough times, and that hurricane if you are in the path.
Goodnight, everyone
Did you say 32ºF???? That's FREEZING!!Good Sunday morning! We have a windchill factor this morning and it is 0°C/32°F out there at the moment. We slept with all the windows open, I’m surprised we’re not freezing in here. When it warms up a bit we’ll go on a long walk at the park with Loki. Other than laundry, this will be another relaxing day with hubby. Have a great one everyone!
Merry Tuesday Tis!!Evening everyone and a happy Sunday. It's been a quiet day for us. Weather is a bit windy and wet. I'm cooking some chicken fajitas for tea and thinking about lighting some candles. Yip it's Autumn. Have a good one folks.
Nice to see you again xmas!! I just came across one of your photo's last week in the Media section - I was hoping all is well with you! Don't be a stranger!Hi everyone,
I haven't been here since March, I believe.
MMC has been on my mind a lot lately, I have been meaning to
visit but I always seem to forget or I get sidetracked.
It is a chilly day, the electric fireplace is on, and Christmas is on my mind.
Everything here is okay, been very busy. I hope to visit more often now.
I hope you all are well, I have missed you
Happy 'Bers!
Thank you, Holiday. I have to admit that the blues still have me, when I'm not working or otherwise distracted. Hopefully time will take care of that.I hope the weekend helped you to relax & start to feel more like yourself again! xx
It's finally starting to feel like fall. It's a misty, rainy day today and I thought it best to stay indoors, except to walk the dog and run a few errands. I was in Costco and they have some of their Christmas product out. It was very tempting not to pick up some cards for the upcoming card exchange, but I think they will still be there for a little while. I did see this little number:
The little train rotates around and it plays a few Christmas songs. It's fairly large as well. It would look great on top of a mantel or in someone's hall.
I hope you are tick free!! xxI'm back from our trip to see an upcoming transmission line. I've been tromping through tick-infested woods along an old train track with some power company engineers. It was a pain, but I feel confident they'll buy from us. Woo hoo!
Now I gotta go check for ticks....
You silly boy!!Y'all, I'm sorry.

I can't believe it's Sept. 11th again already & I can't believe it's been 17 years!! So horrific!!Happy Tuesday...on this somber day, I cannot believe it is 17 years since that day.
Typical day of work and tonight I have my oldest daughter's open house at school. Continued prayers for all those in Florence's path...I hope everyone is safe.
Have a good day!
LOVE IT!!!It is mostly t-shirts and ugly sweaters.
I made a photo album of them here a number of years ago.
Here is the link: https://mymerrychristmas.com/forum/media/albums/my-ridiculous-christmas-t-shirt-collection.521/
My collection is larger now, and a number of the shirts pictured there are now "retired."
Agree! Prayers for everyone in Florence's path!!9-11 MMC...I always remember that day as I know many of us do. Can't believe it's been 17 years. I hope Crown and everyone in the path of the hurricane stays safe. I hope it weakens a bit and isn't as bad as they forecast. Take care and have a great Tuesday!
