I’m not much of a seafood fan either, but I can handle shrimp for some reason. And lobster. My husband wishes I liked more seafood. I told him he can order it we go out for dinner

Hope you had fun at Costco!! I need to see if my aunt wants to split the membership again since mine just expired.

I don’t go often but it’s fun to go once in a while. I actually don’t really like to buy in bulk because then I have to figure out where I’m going to put everything! On the other hand my mother loves it. She bought two 10 pounds boxes of oatmeal today. I do not have room for 20 pounds of oatmeal!

I’ll buy the bigger packs of some of the frozen stuff but we mostly get the baked goods and paper goods. Plus a rotisserie chicken every visit.

Seems like chipmunks are everywhere! We took a walk the other evening and saw three or four of them skittering around, and they've even been dashing across the street in front of my car.

I agree! I was at a Salvation Army south of here and there was one in front of the building, foraging in the bushes along the walk. The little guy never ran, just kept foraging.

We just got home from Carolina's staple removal. The dr said it looked great and just to clean it with neosporin. She backed herself into a corner and screamed when they came in to see her so I had to hold her to me in a bear hug so they could pull them out. Even though she was crying they said she did a great job.
I am off today so we are just relaxing until it's time to take Carolina to school. I have to go back a half hour early so we can have an open house in her classroom and learn more about what she will do this year.

I'm so glad the staples are out and that all looks great! Enjoy the open house!

It sure was noisy around here a bit ago ~ lots of birds in the neighborhood. This is area is in a flyway and this particular group was flying West. Palmer and one of the chipmunks were scared. Palmer hid under the kitchen table, but the chipmunk sat on part of the old satellite dish, head tilted tail all puffed out, looking out into the woods trying to see what all the noise was. So cute!

I may have a few dozen photos uploaded and ready to be shared already, Crown. You know how much the Blossoms thread is my absolute favourite of the year. My only concern is that you're making us wait until the 27th! I think the 25th is a good idea - yes, I know you said "approximately.

Wow.
So much of our journey behind us, now that we are entering the last third of September. The year has really passed quickly.

I'm almost afraid to look at the Countdown statistics.
But let's do it, anyway:
Days to the Season: 54
Days to Christmas Day: 96

I'm even more apprehensive about inspecting the latest update on our next pending Milestone marker.
But let's do that too:
It is, of course, the THREE-QUARTER mark to Christmas Day.
And it is now only FIVE days into the future.
(Downright frightening!)

It warmed up again yesterday, and with all the moisture left around from Florence's unwelcomed visit, it was quite humid.
Hopefully, that will be subsiding in the near future and we can comfortably welcome the arrival of official fall, this Saturday.
Currently, we record 73 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

And get yourselves all geared up for Weekend Eve, tomorrow!

That's practically a double milestone day, Crown... maybe even a triple! Of course, we'll hit the 3/4 to Christmas Day, but also Days to the Season will be in the 40s, and then maybe, just maybe, there will be an extra special celebration on top of that!

Just wanted to say thank you for all of the prayers and positive vibes for Harlowe today.
Her appointment went really well, I’m so relieved!!
I cried happy tears, and am so elated! This is the first time her stage hasn’t changed/progressed. Her murmur is louder, and levels have increased but only ever so slightly.

I will catch up here tomorrow, we are quite exhausted.
