Good morning MMC!! TGIF!!! Merry Friday!!!

It's going to be a "run, run, run" weekend! I have a pot roast going in the crock pot to bring to the lake tonight, but 1st I have to be at Moms at 3 to meet a new lady interested in caregiving for Mom on the weekends. Then I'll head to the lake. I have to be back at moms at 8 tomorrow morning until 6 - We (or I) will watch the Bucks there. Then I'll head back to the lake - no major plans out there. Then I have to be back at moms Sunday morning at 8:30 until 4-5:00 when my sister is taking over for the overnight. Whew!! Can't wait for that pot roast tonight... LOL (It's kind of the highlight of the weekend!) :p

Boss #1 is on vacation, so I'm only at my old job today. I'm ok with that! :)

Everyone, have a great day!!!!

Sounds like you will be busy!! Enjoy your pot roast!! Funny, I just bought one yesterday to make in the crockpot.

How do you make yours?
Usually I just put in beef broth and then use Lipton Beefy Onion Soup mix and I cut up onions and throw in some carrots.

Maybe there is a better place to post this on the forum, but I found a new Christmas podcast I think you all would like, it's called Tinsel Tunes! The host talks about Christmas songs and some of the history behind them. In the one I'm listening to now, he mentions that the most recorded Christmas song is Silent Night, and there have been over 137,000 recordings of that song. (I'm pretty sure I have them all too, LOL). Anyway, it's a very enjoyable new Christmas podcast and I thought you all might like to hear it. I think it's on itunes, I use Overcast and it's on there. Also here's the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/tinseltunes/ and his website http://tinseltunes.com/

Merry Thursday, Holiday!!
It's nice that Jim enjoys farming so much! How long will it take to do 40 acres?
xx
It should have been done yesterday, but they had combine problems.... that is supposed to be fixed this morning & they will be back at it today!! Yes, he LOVES farming!!! He brought the Amish home for us this morning, so he had an early start on his last day of vaca! ;)

Thank you Holiday!
Rocky, Bella, Bentley, Sophia, Rosie and I are sending hugs back your way! :)
Hope you have a nice night!!!
One of these days I will remember all of their names - for some reason I can always remember Sophia!! LOL!!! I should be able to remember Rosie b/c that's our friends Wheaten's name.... Bently was my brother/sil's Yorkie - Bella & Bently - shouldn't be so hard to remember! ;) :p :) All of them - so cute!!! Rocky too! :):)

Thanks.... we believe we took care of most of them.. still some stragglers remaining but we have been killing them as we see them and we have been seeing less and less each day. I think by the time we are done we will have tossed out more then half of stuff in the garage. Once the garage is done I will be reorganizing the kitchen cabinets as I don't see me storing stuff in the garage like we used too. It has been an eye opening experience for sure.
Sounds like such a pain!! I'm glad you are starting to see the end of them!! Good luck!!

I hope you are enjoying them all!
I finished Winter Street last night. Loved it!! Just makes you feel Christmassy!! Looking forward to Winter Stroll!!

I have a wonderful Christmas station programmed into my Pandora account and I too have been listening in my car for about 2 weeks now. I have to drop my husband off at his truck at 5 am every morning and it comforts me as I drive to my own job afterwards xoxo
Love it!!! Enjoy!!!

Good Friday morning! I’m counting down the hours till my work day is done so I can enjoy a 3-day weekend. Have a great day everyone!
Nice - enjoy your 3 day weekend!!!!

Merry Friday MMC ~
We had remnants of Hurricane Michael pass through last night but it’s already tapering off. It’s going to clear up this afternoon and we’ll have a high of 67 degrees. I have an appointment today with the catering hall to go over the final details of my daughters bridal shower, it’s one week away from tomorrow. I also have plans to go out for lunch with my mother. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a nice day!!!
xx
It's always interesting to hear how different showers/weddings are in different areas! I hope the planning goes well & the shower goes off without a hitch!!
Have a great day HMG!

Happy Friday! Tonight there is work for me. Somehow I got the entire weekend off and dont have to be back in until Monday morning. Tomorrow my church is having a fall festival. There is also another fall festival near my best friends home that she invited us to. I am not sure which one we will attend since Mike doesnt seem to be interested in attending either one. I dont know what Sunday has instore for us yet, but I'm sure it will be relaxing. It's supposed to be in the 50s all weekend. I'm so excited for the cold. Have a great day
Enjoy your weekend off!! Have fun if you go to any of the fall fests!

TGIF! We woke up to heavy rain perfect day to sleep in but it should be stopping this morning. My oldest daughter has a soccer game tomm morning and then she has Homecoming tomorrow night so we will be busy with that. We will be relaxing on Sunday. Looks like we will have some cooler weather, which is fine with me I am ready for fall!
Hope you all have a good day and weekend!
I could have easily slept in this morning! It was 39º outside & still dark. Makes it hard to wake up! ;)
Hope you have a great day SFM!!!

I've never tried it with Beefy Onion Soup Mix. I bet that is good! I'm actually making an old recipe from my mom. I made one last year like this (Emma's recommendation!) & it was so good. Right now I have it going on low in the crock pot - I have the roast, onion soup mix & some beef broth in there. At lunch I will add potatoes, carrots, onion, & cream of mushroom soup - maybe a little celery? It will be on low in the crock pot for a good 12 hours. Love it when the roast falls apart! Emma said this recipe also makes excellent beef & noodles (minus the veggies of course) Actually...here is the recipe:

Forgotten Roast – Mom

3-4 lbs. Chuck Roast
1 Envelope Dry Onion Soup Mix
1 Can Cream Mushroom Soup
Potatoes, carrots, onions
(also great to make beef ‘n noodles – Emma)

Place roast on a large piece of foil & arrange vegetables around it. Sprinkle meat & vegetables with dry onion soup mix, then spoon undiluted soup on top. Wrap loosely with foil, making sure it is sealed at the top & sides. Place in a roaster pan & bake at 275º for 4 hours. (Emma baked at 300 for 3 hours & baked it in Moms Wagner Ware pan, covered. Can also make in crock pot)

May I offer a crockpot beef stew variation?
Mr. doesn't like soup mixes, so I usually just coat stew beef chunks in flour and put them in the crockpot with baby carrots and chopped potatoes. I add a can of undiluted condensed beef broth, maybe a little salt and pepper, and cook it in the crockpot on low all day. It makes a very nice stew.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I worked my tail off yesterday, cleaning up after the storm. And I still have a couple days of work to do. It was so hot and humid yesterday, I was miserable. Today, it's in the 70's and BEAUTIFUL!!

I hope no one else had too much trouble from the storm!

And I hope y'all have a great day! :D
