Christmas Countdown - 2018

We ended up not going to the Halloween Parade. I was tired from working all day and with Carolina's cold I didn't want her sitting outside all night. We stayed in and she relaxed and colored at Mikes parents. Mike and I started watching the new season of Making a Murderer with his mom on Netflix

Off to church is a few hours, then out to cast my vote for our new city council with my mom.

Have a great day everyone! Its Carolinas birthday so we have a busy day. She has been up since 6 and had her presents open by 6:15. We have church in a little bit and then celebrations all day

And our little thread here stars our Countdown and it's ever-declining numbers, marking the long but entertaining journey back to our long-awaited and much-coveted Christmas Season.

Today's numbers:
Days to Halloween: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS from TOMORROW!)
Days to the Season: 23 (Three weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 65 (Nine weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Beginning to close in, now!

We had a pretty nice day for the NC State Fair yesterday, with a high of about 70.
A little rain fell while we were there but our raincoats and umbrellas provided all the protection we needed and it was never very hard.
Today will see much cooler temps and we have begun it at 45 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks.
And don't forget those NFL games this afternoon!

Morning MMC! Off to the Halloween Trail I go tonight. It was one of the highlights for me of last year's Bers. And I decided to make it an annual tradition. Everything hit me there last year to realize where we were in the year. I hope it does again all over tonight. It's gonna be CHILLY though. Highs today won't get out of the 40s. Too cold for October but will definitely set the mood. Have a great one!

It is cold here, too, Edge. We sit at 37...which is very uncommon for us this time of year.

Good morning, Christmas friends. Hope all is well. Just getting up and trying to get going, but that is easier said than done this morning.

We went to our Zoo Boo last night...and I was pretty disappointed. I don't even think the girls were amused. They got a little candy, but you could barely see as they didn't have enough lights out. Glad we went because we spent time together, but it was one of those things that you do and then you don't do, again.

As for today, I will finish cleaning my garage. I have to get it cleaned up and create a workstation (I guess that is what you can call it). Next weekend, I put up Christmas lights.

Next weekend, I put up Christmas lights. The garage is where they are all stored, lights changed, untangled and then put on the house. I like to get it done before it gets too cold. In 13 days, the Christmas Tree goes up.

My daughters bridal shower was yesterday and it was beautiful! The wedding will be here before I know it, can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle. So exciting!
I don’t have too much planned for today, I’m still exhausted from yesterday. I’m just going to catch up with the laundry, I didn’t get to do any yesterday. I’m also going to make baked ziti for dinner. That’s about it.
I hope everyone is well and enjoys the rest of the weekend!

Well that’s a bummer about Zoo Boo! I felt the same way with out Christmas at the zoo. The few light displays were pretty but there were hardly any animals out.

Good Morning, MMC!! Brrr!! It was cold out there this morning when I went and got a paper. 25 degrees and I had to scrape the car windows. It definitely felt like Christmas!! Not to much going on today. I’m just going to make Lasagna and watch the nascar race. I might work on a few projects too. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Glad to hear the shower was a success. I have one daughter and it was such a incredibly beautiful thing for me to walk her down the aisle surrounded by people who were and still are special to us. I will take that moment with me into the afterlife. Live in the moment in the coming days ahead. It’s going to be beautiful.
