Happy Halloweekend MMC! A rainy Saturday here. Just relaxing with an iced coffee and a bagel after a long week. I have some work to do today but also time to relax some. Rollins little friend is over so they are both having fun (when they're not fighting lol). Have a great day!

Happy Saturday MMC! A rainy Saturday with really no plans. I am watching Hallmark right now and relaxing with a cup of coffee.
But now to the best part...the Countdown and the days are flying by!

Days to Halloween: 4
Days to the Season: 17
Days to Christmas Day: 58

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you nmc, I plan on staying in until the storm passes. My youngest has a class on Saturday mornings, I’m praying it’s canceled. Hopefully she’ll get an email saying she doesn’t have to venture out in this.
I hope her class was cancelled. It looks like for South Jersey there won't be rain after lunch.
Good morning ~
Merry Saturday!
I’m just having my coffee and watching the news right now. We’re expecting heavy rain and very windy conditions today. It’s a fast moving storm and the weather is supposed to improve after 3:00pm. I’m just going to work on some chores around the house, I already straightened up and started laundry. I’m going to make a big pot of escarole & bean soup with tortellini for dinner, with a tossed salad and mozzarella bread as well. Maybe I’ll run a couple of errands later today, weather permitting. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!
xx
Have a great day!

Lots of leAves have fallen thanks to this nor'easter. If conditions improve this afternoon Mike and I might take a walk on the bike trail through all the leaves. If not I'm sure we will stay in relaxing. His mom will order pizza for dinner and we will probably keep watching Making a Murderer part 2

Happy Saturday everyone! Very rainy here and our high will not even reach 50 today! Perfect day to stay indoors and catch up on watching shows. Yesterday my brother and I made the long trip north (3 hours each way) to visit my parents and sister for the day. I know I have mentioned here that my father is very ill; he is terminal at this point and we are trying to visit with him as much as possible. He can barely get out of bed but when he found out we were there he was able to get up and make it to the table. He looks so bad, it is absolutely heartbreaking, but he was in good spirits yesterday and had us laughing at all his crazy jokes and comments. It was such a good time in the midst of a horrible situation. We brought him a lemon meringue pie, one of his favorites, and he was actually able to enjoy some, which made me so happy. And, before he woke up, I was able to sneak my mom off to a local store that does a "Christmas Lane" with tons of decorations, lights, music, and trees. I have visited there almost every year since childhood and it is an annual tradition for my mom and I to go. I wasn't sure if she would make it there this year as she can't leave my father alone anymore, but my brother stayed with him so we could go and enjoy. I am just very grateful for the day we all had, as I know those kinds of days won't be here forever. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to enjoy family and friends this weekend in whatever you do!

Gosh Sugar, I sure hope for you, that they hold onto being a kid for many more years to come.

Yes, you will be sad and it may break your heart to experience that with them, but, it will also open up more doors that you will be able to do with them. I actually cried one night because they no longer wanted to do the things they used to when they were younger.

My kids trick-or-treated, all the way thru High School. They would all meet up at my home (their friends) and then go out as a group.
Santa, sighhhhh, one of the worst things I experienced was when my daughter stopped believing, (with the assistance from other kids on the school bus), she cried, and said to me “Daddy, you lied to me!”. That about broke my heart.

I wish you all the luxk.

Awe. I’m not looking forward to that. She’s been asking questions, which then triggers her brother, who isn 7. I keep trying to encourage them to believe!

That sure is different, I’ve never heard of any town ever doing something like that before. Sooooooo, does that mean of you take them to another town, they could Trick-or-Treart on Halloween night also?

Sure does. We did go one year to a another county and went to their Trick-or-Treat too, but they get a ton of candy here and they seem content with the night we do here.

Very touching to read about how your family was able to enjoy a good day in spite of the circumstances. Sending strength and wishing for more happy moments for your father and your whole family sugarmuffin.
