It's cold and rainy here in Iowa. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. I took my daughter trick or treating, and I dressed as Santa. Kids were REALLY excited to see me, parents... well, some were, and some weren't. I got a couple of "You're too early Santa!" I met one lady who said she already had her tree up, and another lady told me she had a whole room dedicated to Christmas, and it was decorated all year round. These were my kinds of people!

Good evening my Christmas friends, hope your Saturday is going nicely and your enjoying the evening.

Guess what? I was driving home this evening and as I was driving thru this little town called Colchester, I saw 2 houses with Christmas lights! I was very nicely surprised to see those this early in November. It brought a glow to my heart to see that.

This morning we woke up to a loud boom. Most of the neighborhood lost power.we are on a different grid so it doesn't affect us thankfully. Most of the leAves we raked for my dad blew down the street too.

Sounds like maybe a transformer blew somewheres. Glad you didn’t lose power.

I love it! Great way to dress for Halloween. If some people didn’t like that, they are probably the same ones, that will be getting coal in their stockings this Christmas.

It wasn't a life-changing catastrophe (thank goodness). Just a day with a lot of lousy things happening. A long, seemingly unending string of lousy things ... frustration everywhere I turned. It included being locked out of the office when I rushed back there from an offsite meeting to work on two rush jobs that were being sent to me (my key fob, which worked fine in the morning, refused to open the door), plus missing the offsite (which included training for a new software platform we're transitioning to), missing lunch, and dealing with a bank snafu. The weekend is already an improvement!

Well that’s good! But I still feel bad for you for having a lousy day. I’m glad things have improved for since last night. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Good evening, MMC! We just finally got home from shopping. I spent a little more money than I planned for today, but I got a lot of the Christmas shopping done, got a few more decorations, and got all of our new ornaments. I’m just laying in bed now with a glass of wine and the dog, watching Hallmark.

Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day! We get to go meet our new puppy. We’ll be bringing here home next weekend. I’m over the moon excited!

Hope you all have a great night!

I hope you got the chance to meet your new puppy; how exciting for your family!

Wow, did we ever have a lot of wind today. The leaves were raining out of the trees. We lost power for a minute or two and then it came back on. Now I got to reset all the clocks. My yard is completely covered with leaves and so tomorrow I’ll have to get the tractor out and mulch them up and scatter them all over. Makes for good compost for the lawn for next year.

I’m laying here in bed with one of my cats (Shiloh) she’s daddy’s kitty. I’ve been wondering about her all day, she’s been attached to me today like glue (more so than usual) and every time I leave the room, she comes after me yipping and purring, curling all around my legs and wants me to pick her up and hold her. She’s been extra nuzzling me and curling up either on me or right next to me. I hope she’s feeling ok.

The Hallmark channel and being in a horizontal position, are my plans for the rest of the evening.

Good Saturday morning! This really has been a Fall week, nothing but rain. It's supposed to clear up tomorrow. Today will be all about chores, laundry and grocery shopping. Maybe by mid-afternoon we'll be able to relax some and catch up on the dvr. Tonight we eat out with David's parents as it was his father's birthday last weekend but I was working and couldn't do much. Hope everyone will have a fantastic day!

Happy Belated Birthday to him!

I haven’t go to do as much around the house as I wanted, but we had a great family day. First, started off by going to meet our new puppy and had our first training class with her. Next Saturday will be our second class and we’ll get to bring her home.

Later this afternoon, we headed up to Elk County and got to see the elk. That’s the first time any of us have been there. What a beautiful countryside northern PA is. We ate dinner and then came home.

Tomorrow will be spent running the kids to Sunday School, then mass. Tomorrow is children’s mass and I’m looking forward to it. DS has a retreat at church in the afternoon, to get him prepared for first holy communion this year. After we get home, I plan on continuing to clean and decorate.

As for now, DD and I are sitting on the couch, enjoying Hallmark and popcorn.

Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend!!!

Here are a few pictures of the new puppy, Sidney!

We have had a nice relaxing day at the shore once we got here. We walked on the boardwalk a little bit and stopped in a couple of the arcades. We got pizza from our favorite pizza place up there for dinner and then went back to Mikes grandparents. We had ice cream for dessert. It was so beautiful up on the boardwalk even though it was chilly. Carolina is laying in our room now watching Snow White to fall asleep to and Mike is in the sun room playing his video game. I am in the living room with his grandparents watching Hallmark and reading A Very Nantucket Christmas by Nancy Thayer. I hope everyone is having a great weekend
