Looking good!
We have had a nice relaxing day at the shore once we got here. We walked on the boardwalk a little bit and stopped in a couple of the arcades. We got pizza from our favorite pizza place up there for dinner and then went back to Mikes grandparents. We had ice cream for dessert. It was so beautiful up on the boardwalk even though it was chilly. Carolina is laying in our room now watching Snow White to fall asleep to and Mike is in the sun room playing his video game. I am in the living room with his grandparents watching Hallmark and reading A Very Nantucket Christmas by Nancy Thayer. I hope everyone is having a great weekend
CanadaReally, Thats wonderful! Where at do you reside in?
Canada
Wow, did we ever have a lot of wind today. The leaves were raining out of the trees. We lost power for a minute or two and then it came back on. Now I got to reset all the clocks. My yard is completely covered with leaves and so tomorrow I’ll have to get the tractor out and mulch them up and scatter them all over. Makes for good compost for the lawn for next year.
I’m laying here in bed with one of my cats (Shiloh) she’s daddy’s kitty. I’ve been wondering about her all day, she’s been attached to me today like glue (more so than usual) and every time I leave the room, she comes after me yipping and purring, curling all around my legs and wants me to pick her up and hold her. She’s been extra nuzzling me and curling up either on me or right next to me. I hope she’s feeling ok.
The Hallmark channel and being in a horizontal position, are my plans for the rest of the evening.
We go to Seaside Park/ Seaside Heights. We typically go no further than Casino Pier which is where all the rides are. If you are familiar with Ocean County in NJ that's where it isSounds like a great day and a nice peaceful evening.
Which boardwalk did you go to?

Thank you Sugar!
Your puppy is so precious!
@sugar142286, that sure is a pretty puppy!
Hello all.
Well today was fun day. We got up this morning and went to eat breakfast at a wonderful local diner. Then we went to pick out our Christmas tree which we will cut down the day after Thanksgiving. After that we went to the local turkey farm and ordered our Thanksgiving turkey (it will be a 24-26lb turkey). Off to Hobby Lobby where we picked up a few Christmas decor items.
This evening we watched Christmas Vacation and the Grinch while we put up my wife's white Christmas tree and all of our wall and counter decorations. The house is looking great!
Tomorrow we will do the kitchen with my wife's snowmen collection and Christmas dishes. I will also try to get my Christmas village set-up. We are also going to try to get some of the outside decorations done. Our plan is to at least get the lights up tomorrow.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Hi sugar - I hope you are reading this after a few hours of sleep. Just wanted to say congrats on that beautiful puppy that has joined your family. So precious.Between being a night shifter and the already time change, I can’t sleep. I have Hallmark on and am drinking a cup of coffee. I’ll probably jump in to a book here soon and hope that I can fall back to sleep for a few hours. I didn’t have to be up until 8!
I love that you dressed as Santa for Halloween! I dressed up as a Christmas gift two years ago and people just smiled and laughed. Loved hearing about kids being so excited to see you as SantaIt's cold and rainy here in Iowa. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. I took my daughter trick or treating, and I dressed as Santa. Kids were REALLY excited to see me, parents... well, some were, and some weren't. I got a couple of "You're too early Santa!" I met one lady who said she already had her tree up, and another lady told me she had a whole room dedicated to Christmas, and it was decorated all year round. These were my kinds of people!
