Great, I am glad to hear he got to home and they are sending him to a specialist. Just watch for stuff like shortness of breath, weakness, lightheadedness, chest discomfort, him even being pale. These are simple signs that his count may be low again, his body just trying to tell him he isn’t getting enough blood. If you need anything, PM me. I’ll always try and answer any questions you have. Continued prayers!

Thank you Sugar, my mother and I were talking about how tired my father was before he went in to the hospital. He had been sleeping much more than he normally did. We’ll definitely keep a close eye for all of those symptoms. Thanks again <3

Good early morning! I’m up bright and early as you can see. I fell asleep around 7 last night and never got up. I’m exhausted after almost 6, 12 hour shifts in a row. I get one day off between all that, but with doing all the every day things we all do, I’m always spent my first day off. There is rumor there is going to be 2 daylight positions opening in our ER, which one will be on my weekends off. DH and I are going to have to talk, but after being night shift for going on 14 years, I think it may be time.

I’m just sitting here now with a cup of coffee and reading. We have to take Sidney up to the breeders around 9. This will be her last training class with her. Other than that, today will be a day of relaxation and time with DH and the kids.

Hope you all have a great Saturday!

A day shift would be nice Sugar, I hope that works out for you. I spent a lot of time with my fathers nurses this past week and I think you guys are so strong, yet extremely compassionate at the same time. Nurses are VERY special.
xx

Merry Saturday MMC ~
I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I have to get moving soon, I have lots to do today. I fell behind on everything while my father was in the hospital. I’m going to walk Rocky and then I have a bunch of errands to run. I also have to make a big food shopping trip. Back home afterward to scrub bathrooms, clean the floors and work on the laundry. I’m going to visit my parents later this afternoon. I think I’ll give myself a break from cooking and pick up pizza for dinner. Hopefully relax this evening and catch up on some shows. I guess that’s it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend!!!
xx

Good Weekend before Thanksgiving MMC! This is the weekend to get everything ready for the big feast and big day. I'm going to be doing some of that today as well as enjoying the fact we have sunny skies. Even though it's still chilly it's not as cold and the sun feels good. Have a great Saturday!

Yes, this a huge indication. And you’re welcome ♥️

Thank you so much! I think so too. It will be adjustment for everyone, but I think it will be better.

Good Morning, Season Sojourners.
Day five of Christmas Season 2018, Folks.
Are you making the most of it?

Well, as you consider the answer to that question, consider this as well:
Days to Thanksgiving: 5 (Close to HALF a week!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 38 (Under 5 1/2 weeks left!)
Moving right along, we are!

It did warm up yesterday as predicted, but not as much as I thought it would.
At least the weather service was right about the rain moving out.
It should be sunny again today with our highs in the upper 50's.
We show 39 degrees here in Raleigh at this hour.

Well, my niece is getting married this afternoon!
As such, I know I will have a Sensational Saturday.
How about you?

Congrats to your niece! Enjoy the wedding!

Good morning ... hard to believe this is the last weekend before Thankskgiving. This time next weekend we will be working on decorating the house for Christmas. Exciting!!! Gotta get some cleaning done plus have to go to the grocery store. Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks everyone. The doctor decided to discharge my father after he received the transfusion. He’s happy to be home. He’s going to follow up with a couple of doctors for further testing. Sugar, yes he will be seeing a gastroenterologist. Thanks again, I appreciate the thoughts and prayers.
xx
My Dad had a GI bleed a couple of years ago and was hospitalized for transfusions. He now goes for iron infusions every 6 weeks and that has really helped keep all his #s up and he feels good. Continued prayers for your Dad!

Have a great day!

Lady night at work a customer really tried to rile me up. She got mad because I wouldn't tell her what hair dye box I use to keep my hair such a nice dark brown all the time ( I've never colored my hair a day in my life). My dad's mom was part Native American and on my mom's side our ancestors are all from England or Scotland. Even after explainin all this she is reporting me to our corporate office because I wasn't being helpful

Working in customer service can be soooo great (rolls eyes). Some people just don’t realize how they sound when making such a fuss over nothing. As I tell my employees, be kind and keep smiling, they are not worth you losing your cool.

So true! We have been so busy lately. We employees go around singing "it's the most wonderful time of the year"

It’s a shame. There are some people you can’t please.
