Good Thanksgiving Eve to one and all!

Doesn't seem like it should be Thanksgiving already. The year has raced by and soon it will be Christmas.

Days to Christmas Day: 34 (Now UNDER 5 weeks!)

Slowly cooling off. We should be in the mid 40's for Thanksgiving tomorrow and well below the freezing mark by tomorrow night.
This day-before-turkey-day has commenced here in central North Carolina at 36 degrees.

OK! Final open house at the 'Pines before Thanksgiving and all the stops are being pulled out by our friendly and dedicated activities director, Carl.
Wonderful meal in the dining hall with all the traditional Thankgiving fixings and the decor to match.
The entertainment? Well, as usual that is a surprise. Carl can only say that it will be "seasonal and traditional". (Certainly sounds appealing.)
Please plan to attend. It's one of those "don't-miss" event evenings at our inn of choice!

Merry Tuesday! Work seemed to be super busy today with last min requests for Thanksgiving cooking items and people being upset that we don't carry them such as turkey basters, carving knives. I am off tomorrow but Carolina and I will be out among the craziness getting anything else my mom needs and trying to find her Christmas dress and Christmas pajamas. I want to get those accomplished now so I don't have to think about them.
Today was Carolina's Thanksgiving feast at school. They celebrate with pancakes and syrup, applesauce, popcorn and juice boxes. It's a super cute celebration. Have a great night everyone!

Kids have a 1/2 day of schook today and hubby is hoping to get out early. Ah, the day before the day....

I'm sure everyone has plenty to do today. I do, also. However, I have a big cup of coffee that needs to dealt with first, along with some Christmas friends that I needed to visit!

What a day it is going to be! The girls and I are going to do a little shopping....I plan on letting them pick out an inflatable...I have to go buy a book, and I have two items I forgot to get at Walmart. After that quick trip, we will return home and begin doing some cooking. I've got my DVR set for a couple of shows tonight (Charlie Brown being one of them) and I'm looking forward to this evening.

I hope you have a great day. We are in the middle of our favorite time of year and are approaching a holiday that we all love. Enjoy the moment, friends.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I have a couple errands to run this morning for my mom. I wanted to be out of the house already, but first I must drink the coffee and then I can do the things. I am sure Walmart and Target will be a zoo. We will be back before lunch time hopefully. Tomorrow the high for us is only going to be 29* which will help put everyone in the holiday spirit.

Good morning! Just crawling in to bed after a busy night at work. The kids are watching Sidney for a couple of hours and keeping her entertained, so I can catch a nap. They are such good kids, I’m so thankful for them!

Lots to do today - I have 4 pies and a pumpkin roll to bake. I also may bake something else for the kids. The rest of the meal will be done in the am.

Kids and I plan on tonight, watching specials on tv, eating pizza and popcorn, and drinking hot chocolate. DH get overtime tonight, which I hope he doesn’t, since he is working all day today too, but if he does, that’s the way it goes.

Wow. I can't believe the time is here already. DH is off work today & DD is out of school, so they're having a "Daddy/Daughter Day" while I'm at work. All of the groceries are bought, just have to prep. Church tonight, then DH will bake the pumpkin pies. Tomorrow morning is breakfast with DH's family. Lunch with my family. Maybe tomorrow night we can start decorating for Christmas at home. I hope everyone enjoys this long weekend and the company you are with!

Surprisingly Target was not bad at all. Carolina got a new ornament for the tree this year and I was able to get my brothers gift bought. The only thing I was unsuccessful with was finding a dress for Carolina to wear for her Christmas program

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Another cold, dark, rainy day, and it just about suits my mood. I'm tired out and overwhelmed by Christmas projects that have to be finished to make room for others coming up; time is running short, but the to-do list keeps getting longer. Then Mr. rear-ended a car that stopped short in front of him on an on-ramp last night, so now we have to deal with insurance and repairs. Just need a little strength and energy so I can keep going and enjoy Thanksgiving week as best I can.

Oh no Merry, I'm sorry to hear about that. Glad to hear the Mr. is ok. Hope the Insurance takes care of everything. I do pray that your strength and energy stays with you.

My son and have been Cap's fans for years.... Hockey is my favorite, followed by soccer and baseball.
I've given up on football, too much grandstanding, to much drama, to much whining and crying, too much being politically correct and too much politics in it.

Good evening all. Just got home from parent-teacher conferences. It was such a cluster and we waited for DD’s teachers for 2 hours, but we got an excellent report on both of the kids and I’m just glad to be home.
