There’s nothing better than basking in the glow of the tree for the first time every season. Now to go find that darn tree skirt.
Looks beautiful, Made!

I started my day nice and early but not for Black Friday shopping. We had the whole house and tree decorated just after lunch. Now we just have to do the outside decorations. It wasn't cold enough for my dad today so maybe 1 day this week it will be colder. I had a successful trip to the outlets, but they were still mobbed at dinner time.
Tomorrow we have a going away party for Mikes cousin who goes to boot camp for the Coast Guard Tuesday. I am going in to work for a few hours at night to help get caught up from a busy week. Then it will be home for bed to get up for work on Sunday am. Such a busy weekend amd we usually have nothing to do

No matter how hectic/crazy/upsetting life can get, this will always bring me back to the positive.

The wife is beginning the process of getting the village set up. We have yet to have it set in the same place from one year to the next. Got started on the outside decorating too, but catching a little bug set me back a day. I have off all week so I’m hoping to get some recording done for Kringle Radio and the outside decorations done. We will be getting our real tree on Friday or Sat and then the rest of the decorating commences. Things are getting really exciting. Happy (American) Thanksgiving week!
Sounds delicious Star! Have a great week of last min wedding preparations!
Those cakes sound so delicious Christmasstar! Hope you'll share pics when all is doneYour daughter is lucky to have her own mother do her wedding cakes, such a great gift to her.

I'm sorry to hear that Rocky is giving you such a hard time with the Christmas decorations. Looks like he's frazzled by all these new shiny things that he has never seen before so he goes on the attack. I hope you find a way to put up the tree. Maybe look online for some ideas on how to prevent him from going after the tree? A trainer at home would be beneficial. We kept saying we would bring in a trainer for Loki but never did. And he's still over protective and will growl or bark at the tiniest noises in the hallway. Enjoy the decorations you get to put up today and have a nice day HMG.Good morning ~
Happy Sunday!
So I tried to do a bit of decorating last night and Rocky is giving me the hardest time. He seems to be threated by everything and wants to attack whatever I take out. To say it’s frustrating is an understatement but he’s still a puppy so I’m trying to be patient with him. We need to call a trainer in, I’m just not sure I can get in to that before my daughters wedding. The wedding preparations have been so time consuming. I will definitely have a trainer come to the house right after the wedding. For now I guess I’ll scatter some Christmas decorations around the house that are out of Rocky’s reach lol. I’m not even sure if I can put a tree up this yearSo my plans for today will be a bit of decorating and I will be working on the laundry. I’m going to start a pot of sauce as soon as I finish my cup of coffee, dinner will be raviolis. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Thanks Crown! Happy Rudolph Day #11!Good Morning, Fellow Voyagers.
Well, our long voyage is nearing its end. We are getting pretty close now to hearing "Christmas Ho!" (Or should that be "Christmas Ho Ho Ho"?)
Regardless, here is the daily data:
Days to Christmas Day: 30 (ONE MONTH from TODAY!!)
Twelve months now down to ONE. Wow!
Our chilly and wet weather continues and we had rain during the entire first part of the day, yesterday.
Today should be warmer and drier after a damp start, with highs in the low 60's.
At this hour, we stand at 45 degrees here in the capital city.
Have Super Sunday, Folks.
And may your NFL team of choice win today, especially if it is the Panthers!
Looks so peaceful and cozy, Made!View attachment 52699

Haven't check in since Thanksgiving morning...
Thanksgiving was all that I hoped it would be. Family time is what my heart desires and I got plenty of it. My grandmother, who is 86, and I got to sit and visit for a good, solid two hours. We both got tickled because Bambina kept telling me to quit yelling at her (my Nanny doesn't hear too well after 86 years). I wasn't yelling, but I did have to raise my voice for her to hear me. The meal...well, it was the best we have made in my 41 years of living. Simply wonderful.
Doc and I got up Black Friday and did some serious shopping. After a couple of hours, I ended up in Barnes and Noble reading. It was such a good time and we got some pretty serious deals. We upgraded our phones and Target gave each of us a $250 gift card and two coupons that give us 20% off of a shopping trip. Doc was strategizing on how to make the best use of those, but she got terribly sick on Friday night and it continued through yesterday. If she doesn't improve today, I'm going to make her go to urgent care.
Other than that, cooking and some outside work are on the agenda for today. It is supposed to be in the low 60's here and this is the last pretty day (and warm) on the 10 day forecast. I'm going to make sure I enjoy it!
