What a busy, but fun day! Hope Lulu is feeling better! Have you guys ever tried a thunder vest with her? We got Nittany one this past summer and has really seemed to help. We bought it off of Amazon, but I know they have them several places. Hope you're having a nice day!
Nancy has mentioned trying one of those. Maybe Santa will bring one!

Good Morning, Friends.

Closing in on the three week mark now as Christmas Day draws nigh.

Let's inspect this morning's count figure:
Days to Christmas Day: 22
Yep. There you have it. Three weeks from tomorrow.
(Can you believe it??)

Quite warm yesterday (70's) but rather damp too, from all the recent rain.
Today will be dry and slightly cooler (upper 60's).
The current reading here in our little sector of MMC Land is 60 degrees and it is sunny, but still somewhat damp.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!
I hope you have enjoyed our Christmas Season to date.
(Can you believe this is already Season day 21?)

Merry Monday MMC ~
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I finally decorated my Christmas tree yesterday. So far the puppy is staying away!

Not too much going on here, it will be a typical day of errands and chores. I also have plans to go shopping with my oldest when she gets off from work, she’s going to pick out gifts for her bridal party today. I think I’ll make taco soup in the crock pot so I don’t have to worry about dinner later tonight. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Your tree photo would make a nice addition to the Blossoms thread!

Evening everyone, I’ve been wanting to post, but, it just seems like every time I wanted to stop by here lately, I’ve just had too many other things on my mind and so, I just have been keeping to myself, thinking.

My daughter called me last week, she informed me that her grandmother, my ex mother-in-law, was not doing well. She went into the hospital for one thing, and while she was there, they found a tumor on her pancreas; cancer. She’s 68. They apparently started her on chemo and she has had every side effect that there can be From doing so, and she has only taken 2 out of 10 treatments. My daughter was crying on the phone, it got me all upset and it Just tore me up on the inside hearing her get like that and from what she was telling me. It’s been on my mind ever since. She is a wonderful person. She always treated me nicely, with kindness and thoughtfulness. She was, my family, for over 23 years, and I miss her still.

Then out of the blue, for the first time in years, my ex-wife started texting me about her mom. And then, updating me that since she’s been so sick, they are going to stop the chemo and just operate on her in about a week to remove the tumor. I’m praying for her.

So, the only right thing and moral thing for me to do, is to let my wife know all of this and of course, she understands, and her heart goes out to my ex mother-in-law and my kids, but she has also concerns now of my ex wife texting me. And to tell you all the truth, it’s bothering me some too, in a slight way.

Then, on top of this, I found out, that my sons Air National Guard unit have received orders, that they are deploying to Afghanistan right after Christmas. Just Nice...... if I don’t have enough to worry about.

All of this in a matter of just a few days.

I’ve been trying to get my butt in gear, and get started on getting the Christmas decorations and the tree out. I’m hoping maybe tomorrow.

I’d like to humbly ask if prayers could be given for both my son and my ex mother-in-law. Thank you.
Oh gosh, I am sorry that is a lot happening all at once. I am keeping you all in my prayers. If you need anything, I am right down the road.

Looks beautiful! I hope Rocky is leaving it alone...unfortunately, I have lost 2 bulbs due to Leo...he still such a devil!

Happy Monday!
Weekend went by too fast for sure...I did do some shopping yesterday so I got a few things done. The rest I can order online. My youngest daughter is really into going to the mall with her friends so she is asking for a few gift cards so that makes it a little easier.
Just work for me today and I am catching up on my laundry tonight.
Hope you all have a great day!

I have never heard of a "thunder vest" before, but when I googled it I realized that when O'Malley the cat is upset or is ready for an uninterrupted sleep, he will curl himself up into his very first cat bed (really doesn't fit, but thinks he does) with perhaps onefront paw under his chin and one back leg sticking out. If his back and tail are against the rounded rim, he feels less vulnerable or so I believe. Good invention that makes sense because people often use weighted vests to help children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD.

Merry Monday ... :brr

4 day work week for me; I have Friday off as a random vacation day; going to finish my Christmas shopping.

We have our work holiday potluck on Wednesday; there's always plenty of dishes I can eat and although I don't eat sweets, I'm bringing festive butter cookies 'cause I want others to enjoy what I'm missing.

I have been so busy the last two weekends, accomplished a lot, but didn't spend much time with my husband or the cat as I was working on my cards, printing photo magnets, running errands, etc. My husband seems to be a little less "Bah" about the holidays this year, I think he realizes by now that this is an important time of year for me and that he might as well try and enjoy it with me. He commented that he admired how organized I was with my cards 'cause I printed two lists, 1 to check off the completed recipients and the other to cut and use as a mailing label. Funny thing is that I didn't have any label paper handy so I wound up using SCOTCH tape to secure them and I'm hoping some of the people who receive them will give them a whiff 'cause it smells like Christmas trees.

Speaking of Scotch tape ... I had to pick up another 3-pack and there was a huge bin full and I gave two different ones a big whiff and then waited and listened 'cause once a few years back, I heard a voice over the intercom say, "Security, scan aisle 12" and I was in aisle 12. HaHaHoHo

Imagine if I had gotten banned from Walmart for being a merry wacko?+n

Have a great day! Stay Jolly! :ornarment

Thanks Crown! The Christmas Season rolls on!

Good morning MMC! It sure is Monday!!! Can't say it's been a great one so far. Lots going on - we had our 1st family (hubby's side) Christmas yesterday & that was hard. We have very close friends going through a lot of things we found out about last night. Then Care Flight flew directly over our house this morning & it was SO CLOSE I thought it was going to hit our house. It was rattling & shaking our windows. UGH! Hate that! Jim had just left 30 minutes before that, so I was glad to hear from him. Just a lot going on - it's been kind of a teary eyed morning!

Thank goodness for Christmas things/movies/music & especially people to make me happy!
:orny

Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer today!! It will get better as the day goes on!!

I hope you are all having a great 1st Monday of December!!!

Happy Friday, Holiday!! Enjoy the winery and the weekend!

Thanks so much!

We are having a craft fair at our high school on Saturday and my oldest daughter has to work at it for Student Council so I am looking forward to going there and hopefully getting a few Christmas items.

I had a nice time with my friend but the winery was sold out - all tables full. So we picked up our wine & went to a local tavern that has great pizza & chatted over pizza & a beer! Nice night!

I hope your Dad is doing well - continued prayers!

AND I hope you found some fun, Christmassy things at the craft fair & enjoyed your weekend!

Merry afternoon, Holiday!
Best of luck to your HS football team!!
Have a merry time at the winery and have a merry weekend!!
xx
Thanks Meceka!! As you see above, the winery was booked full, but we still had fun! Our HS team lost! :( But how cool they made it that far!!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Thanks; found out this afternoon that my dad wants to go; he called me up. That's a very good sign. Maybe it will inspire him to decorate despite missing my mom so much. He's forgetting that he was always the "Tinsel King". We'll see.
Awe!!! I hope he went & you had a wonderful time together!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday! This is my full weekend off from work. Tonight I got some Christmas shopping done. I think all I have to get now are some gift cards, cards and a few more stocking stuffers.
Our Elf Aurora comes back tonight once Carolina is asleep.
We are supposed to go to a fire truck christmas light parade tomorrow but I've heard that it is being cancelled due to the rain.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic Christmassy night
I hope Carolina is having a blast with the elf! :)

Happy December everyone!! Tree's up, decorations are up and the Christmas fair is tomorrow. Mulled wine anyone? :)

Yes, please! :p (is that ok at 9:40 am?) LOL

Good Saturday morning! I can’t belive it’s December 1st already. I’m starting to freak out a bit, I have fallen behind on everything, from shopping for gifts to baking. I’ll have 2 weekdays off next week so will have to catch up.

Last night at work, an employee gave us quite a scare. After lifting a framed mirror, she grabbed her chest and I brought her down to the floor. She says that this has happened before, when doing some physical effort. When she was feeling better, I wound up driving her home in her own car and coming back to work by taxi. I will have a talk with her today about seeing her doctor, I think she is showing all the signs of effort angina. I really don’t want it to lead to a heart attack at some point, especially since she mentionned there is a history of heart problems in her family.

So tonight is the first of three consecutive Saturdays where I’ll be out celebrating Christmas. I am such a homebody and an introvert, this is the most social activity I will have in a single month. Tonight is our work Christmas party. I am not in the Social committee this year so I get to relax a bit, though I did end up helping them with a few things anyway. Next week, just us managers will go eat at a nice restaurant. And on the 15th my brother is having us over at his place.

But for now I’m just relaxing before work, curled up in a blanket in front of the illuminated tree, with Loki sleeping on my lap. Have a wonderful day everyone!
I hope your employee is ok!!
Enjoy your social month!! :)
-santa-

Carolina's excitement is getting greater especially now that her elf has arrived. This morning she has made us each talk with the elf about good and bad places to hide. I love how excited she is getting and seeing the magic again thru her eyes. Each year it gets better
So cute! Enjoy!

Good Morning, MMC!!! It’s been a rainy morning here but there is talk of a dry slot after 3pm. So there may just be hope for the parade and tree lighting after all!! I have a few quick things to do around here and then I’m going to head out to some craft fairs. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
It rained & rained & rained & .... water everywhere!! Hope you enjoyed a Christmassy weekend!

Good Saturday morning, Christmas friends!

I left work early yesterday afternoon. I called the doctor's office for an appointment, and they'd had a cancellation, and could see me right away. I've had some numbness in my left hand, and it turns our I have elbow tunnel syndrome. Ha! Never heard of that! It's actually similar to carpal tunnel, but it's called cubital tunnel. Anyway, nothing to do about it short of surgery, but it might clear up in time. Great.

It's rainy around here. I was hoping to get on the mower to mulch up all of the pecan leaves, but it's too wet now. So, Lulu and I are on the couch watching Stargate: SG1. It's an old show, but pretty awesome!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Is that the same as tennis elbow? Hope it heals quickly. I'm glad it wasn't something more serious, but hope for an easy healing process for you!!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Boy, has it ever rained! Some reports are between 7" and 10" in a couple days. the river and pond are out of the banks, yards are flooded, and all of the schools in our area are closed. Whew!

Yesterday, we went to hear the kids singing in the choirs, and they were both awesome, of course. ;)

I see a little blue sky above. I hope it stays!

And I hope y'all have a great day! :D
