Happy Hump Day!
We received great news at my dad's appt and he does not have cancer. The lesions on his liver are benign but he is having some liver functioning issues so we have to go see a liver specialist and they should be able to control it by medication. Thanks again for all the prayers and well wishes.
I have to take my daughter to the Apple Store to pick up her phone.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's hasn't rained in a couple days, but there's still water everywhere. Our yard is "smooshy" and the driveway is muddy. Blech!

I'm supposed to go to Atlanta tomorrow for an overnight business trip, but we're getting the results from my MIL's cancer scan tomorrow afternoon. Nancy is pretty nervous about it, so I might change my plans and drive to Atlanta early Friday morning for the meeting. I pray she gets a good report, too!

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
I just walked Rocky and it’s pretty chilly out there. I think I’m going to lay down for a little bit, I’m trying to get rid of a headache. Thankfully I don’t have too much going on today. I have a couple of quick errands to run later and I’ll be working on the laundry. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well. See you tonight!

Good morning MMC! Roads were a little slick this morning! Main roads were fine but stop signs on back roads needed some salt! We had some pretty snow coming down.

Work for me today - both places. New job is VERY busy so I should head over there earlier than normal, but old job is VERY busy too, trying to switch things over & close down some accounts. Gah!!

Friday is my annual shopping trip with my friend, Saturday morning we are having the burial of moms ashes, & I just found out last night that I am hosting candy making day this year, which is Sunday! Gah!! Who wants to come clean my house & finish putting up Christmas & find a place for all these beautiful funeral gifts? LOL! I'll git 'r done!!!

Good Morning, MMC!! It’s been a crazy couple of days here. It seems like I spent all day yesterday at my aunts house while Comcast switched her over from AT&T. I think that was the slowest I’ve ever seen a tech move. I was so bored I dug out my aunts outdoor Christmas decorations and decorated her yard since she hadn’t yet. Ella was not happy being blocked in the kitchen during it either. I need to run several errands today now that I didn’t get done yesterday. Then hopefully I can start wrapping tonight. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

DD got that book when she was in early elementary school. It was cute!

The local Christmas parades were supposed to be last Saturday but were postponed until this Saturday because of rain. Now there is 90% chance of rain this Saturday. DD is in high school band & was looking forward to marching in the parade, but the instruments can't get wet. DH has two Christmas movies that are must sees for him: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation & White Christmas. We still need to watch White Christmas so we need to find a free night for three of us! I'm looking forward to our 25th wedding anniversary trip in two weeks. We're taking a few days off in Pigeon Forge. DD will spend that time between both sets of grandparents. We all need some down time from work & school, so I'll be glad for a couple of weeks of refreshment for DD. Being 13 and in middle school shouldn't be so stressful...

I hope everyone is able to find at least a little time to relax and enjoy the next three weeks---three weeks from today is Christmas Day!

Merry Tuesday!

Spent the several hours at the library today working on a project and updating my computer. It was nice as there was no one else using the WI-FI so I was able to get quite a bit of things done that needed doing and done fast.

Sent the first batch of the MMC Christmas cards out today and received a small batch in the mail today. Such fun!

Yesterday I watched White Christmas. Love that movie!

Our local theater is showing it next Wednesday (sponsored by TCM), and we have tickets—-it’s going to be amazing to see it on the big screen!

Tonight will be Carolina's first night sleeping in her bug girl bed. I am hoping she stays in it all night. It's higher than she's used to. So far she is still laying there awake so I can't hide her elf yet. Tomorrow is my long day at work. I work from open to close and then work on Thursday morning

Hope the bugs didn't get her!! Ha ha ha!!

Morning MMC! We have a cold and dry morning here. Nice to actually have dry weather and that looks to continue right through the weekend. It's nice to have a stretch without rain or snow even. Some Christmas wrapping is on the agenda for tonight. Anyone behind like I am? Have a great Pines Day!

Happy Wednesday and Merry Pines Day!

So, I had about 2 dozen photos turned into magnets for relatives to add to their Christmas cards.

6 of them aren't going anywhere. I have an adorable one of O'Malley the cat touching his nose with his tongue, one of my brother and I at my wedding and another one of him and I when we got together recently in Toronto (he's getting one too), one of my Godmother and Mom on St. Patrick's Day (many years ago - mom was younger than I am now), one of my parents, brothers and grandparents when I was only 6 and so adorable (although found it hard to sit like a lady) and one of my dad's winter evening oil painting that I hope will adorn my wall one of these days, but for now I have the magnet.

4 of the 6 I kept made their way to my file cabinet so I can sneak a peak any time I want.

The one of the cat toughing his tongue is on the fridge at home holding up Jayish's MMC radio business card.

I haven't given my husband the one of his mom yet (she died before we ever met) and one of a deer taken at a bog that turned out really cool and another one of the cat laid back and looking content for our fridge.

That means I'm down 9 magnets to give away - back to the print shop, I go this Friday. Sending cards out this weekend to family and relatives; the MMC card crew had to get theirs first.

Christmas potluck today and working hard with some festive music playing in the background.

Really moving in on Christmas Day now, as we pass below the three week mark.

Days to Christmas Day: 20
Under three weeks, and into the teens tomorrow!
(Not much time left, Folks.)

The cold spelll has commenced here in the state of North Carolina, and we begin today at 42 degrees, bound for a high only in the mid-40's, then dropping well below freezing tonight.
We will not see temps above 50 again for at least a week and a half, as winter gives us a sneak peek of what is to come.

Well he could not care less about the weather. The 'Pines is always warm and inviting, especially during the holidays.
Check in this evening and enjoy more of the inn's Christmas Decor and seasonal treats.

Our small local theater had classic Christmas movies every weekend of December for a couple years. It was awesome. But they quit doing it!

I wonder if it's because major film distributers no longer offer physical film prints, but only digital files ... some smaller theaters aren't equipped for digital projection. (When we see "White Christmas," it will be a digital presentation, not a print.) It's sad that the digital-only policy is driving smaller theaters and drive-ins out of business and making older, beloved films less available in some cases.

I'm so happy for you my friend and for your Pops. I'm hoping that medication can help him out soon. That's good news to hear before Christmas!
