Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

One week to go!! We were out shopping last night (didn't find anything, of course), and it looks like we're going back out this weekend. Yuck.

Tonight is Nancy's office party (I'm not invited), tomorrow night is her dad's store's party, and Thursday night is my office party. Lots of food coming up!

I bought a boneless turkey breast and a couple turkey tenderloins to put in the smoker for Christmas dinner, so my part is ready.

Good morning Sugar! I haven't been here as much as I usually have been either, busy as a bee this time of year, but it's fun! You know, that sounds like a really good plan for this rainy, dreary day up here, the wife and I, making Christmas cookies from scratch, together. Nothing like a little Christmas music, Christmas cookies, to set the mood......for Christmas!

Good to see you, Xmastidings! It was a great day and we made, many, many cookies. I look forward to that every year!

It's going to a bitter sweet Christmas this year with my son, his Air Force unit was activated and he his going to be deployed to Afghanistan, right after Christmas day. Gone, for who knows for how long.

My mind understands these things, being ex-military myself, but my heart, my heart is aching know that he has to go, of all places. to that place.....

I pray you guys are able to share a great Christmas together and that he stays safe. God Bless and thanks to him for his service!

As of today, we have exactly ONE WEEK left before Christmas Day 2018 arrives, right on schedule.
Days to Christmas Day: 7
Fifty-Two weeks down to ONE.
(Well, what do you know about that, now!)

Warm yesterday, with our high being 61 degrees.
Dry too, with few clouds.
Today will be cooler, with highs in the low 50's but still little to no chance of rain.
This final week stretch to Christmas has begun here at 40 degrees.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I made some Snickers and Reeses fudge today as well as some chewy ginger molasses cookies so far. My goal is to have the freezer re-stocked by Thursday or Friday so all I have to do is bake and assemble tins for each house I go to. We will see if that actually happens! I heard on the news this morning that a local school was closed completely due to the flu. Yikes!! I get sick very easily due to my health issues so unless we have tickets to go somewhere (twice this week) I will stay quarantined in the house! I can't be sick for Christmas or I won't be able to go see my parents as my father can't be around anyone sick, so I am hoping to ward off all germs this week! I hope everyone here can do the same! Have a safe and happy Tuesday everyone!

Good Sunday afternoon everyone! Yesterday my husband and I drove up to visit my parents. 6 hours in the car does me no good with my health issues so I will spend the day relaxing and watching football. But it was a great visit and my dad even made it to the table (which he hasn't been able to do in three weeks) so I was very happy. My sister, brother-in-law, niece, and my Godmother also stopped by so I loved seeing everyone. I need to work on replenishing the freezer with cookie dough and fudge and candy this week so it will be ready for Christmas day. My mom also sent all the grandkids present with me to wrap for her (She HATES wrapping presents, always has, and I love it) so I will work on that this week as well. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Sunday!

Sounds like Christmas at our house. The family will arrive Friday evening and leave Wednesday morning. We're talking about the grown sibs, spouse, and three grandvarmints running around the house all day/evening. It is huge fun.

That having been said, my brilliant bride and I have OUR Christmas spread out over the following two weekends. It is decidedly lower energy and volume, but an equally big, if different, blast. That's a three weekend celebration...

That sounds like so much! Enjoy the time with your family and your wife. I'll be doing much of this weekend after Christmas and into NYE, since I'll have my off days. I'm looking forward to it!

7 days and a few hours until Christmas. So many last minute deadlines at work really ate into my holiday pre- celebration and ramp up.

I'll be traveling to Austin, TX to celebrate Christmas Eve with my family, then I have NYE until Epiphany to ebjoe the holiday displays thabkt to my leave. I did collect blankets to distribute to those in need as well. Be well All.

It’s going to be mostly sunny, windy and chilly today, with highs near 35 degrees. I have to do some food shopping this morning. More Christmas shopping this afternoon. Daily chores. Dinner will be tacos. That’s it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. Oh and Rocky got his hair cut yesterday, he’s all ready for Christmas!

Happy Tuesday!
It is windy and cold outside today...feels like it is in the 20's. Work for me today and my youngest is home with me with a cold and low grade fever. Hopefully she will feel better in a couple of days. I hear there are a couple of viruses going around the school.
I am going to wrap a few more gifts tonight. Hope you all have a great day!

There are some serious decorations going up for tomorrow's competition at the office ... I'll try to get pictures to share tomorrow morning. So far I see a winter wonderland (featuring nearly life-size pine trees printed on canvas, attached to a wooden framework, with white puffy clouds dangling overhead) to a display of bad Christmas puns.

Good Tuesday morning! I still cannot believe that Christmas is a week away. I've been so tired over the past week that I can't say that I've been in the Christmas spirit that much. Too tired to stay up and watch movies or bake. Hoping to turn things around today as I work the afternoon/evening shift and have some time for a Holiday movie or two. Have a wonderful day everyone!
