Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good evening, friends! I'm finally all caught up on here. I can't believe it's just one week until Christmas. Time is flying by and just like a lot of you, I haven't had much time to enjoy Christmas programming or if I do find the time, I spend it with family or sleeping.

Just work for me tonight, then I'm off for two days, but then work 5 days over Christmas. Good news though - I accepted a full-time daylight position this past week and I'll be starting that shift in just a few short weeks. Most days I'll be working 7a-7p, with occasionally doing 7a-3p. I'm scared for the change, but excited too and know it's what's best for my health.

I know a lot of you have shared in with me, a lot of the health issues and fatigue I've been having go on. I had numerous blood tests done last week and my NP and I spoke, told me I had to make an emergency appointment for this week, to go over results and talk about maybe going to see some specialists. I see her tomorrow. I pray it's nothing serious, but we shall see. God is control, this I know.

I'll try to check in later or tomorrow. Talk to you all soon!

It is windy and cold outside today...feels like it is in the 20's. Work for me today and my youngest is home with me with a cold and low grade fever. Hopefully she will feel better in a couple of days. I hear there are a couple of viruses going around the school.
I am going to wrap a few more gifts tonight. Hope you all have a great day!

Good evening all.

One day of giving and grading exams done, two more days to go.

Henry will have a fun day the next two days of school. Tomorrow is the Student Council party after school. They are doing a secret Santa. He was excited to wrap the gift he purchased for the festivities. Then, on Thursday, the whole elementary has a Christmas party.

My wife is busy making a Snow Miser costume for herself. Her school does a dress-up day the week before Christmas and she and another teacher are going as Snow Miser and Heat Miser.
In past years my wife has gone as Buddy the Elf and the Grinch.

I just get to wear my cool Christmas ties.

Gosh, I can't believe how fast we got to where we are. Amazing. I think I have logged in three times this month. It has just been so hectic.

The good news is that we have done a lot as a family and had a really great time. There is some shopping left to do and and that will occur on Friday. This weekend through Christmas Day....it will be just family. I can't wait.

On a sad note...if David Letterman was still on, Darlene Love would be Friday night. I miss that tradition. I think I'm goign to write some of the late shows and encourge them to invite her on. I miss her.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their season. I'm about to head to bed. We get out of school on Friday and the last few days of the semester are always hectic.

Man I wish one of the late shows would bring her back too. Letterman’s producer went to The View though and has taken her with him. It’s definitely not the same, at least the tradition is continuing though.

 
I hope everyone had a great day!! I knocked some of the things off my list but there’s still a lot to go though. Hopefully I can finish knocking out my shopping tomorrow. Then baking and candy making Thursday.
 
Good Mid-Week MMC! Everyone who is saying that the season is flying isn't wrong. But I think we all realize the reason for that is between work and all the holiday prep that we're all busy so it is always going to speed by. That's why I always try to throw in some evenings of relaxing and just not running around or doing anything. We can rest in January though. For now, keep getting ready for Christmas and have a great Pines Day!
 
Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy with highs near 40, we’re currently at 22 degrees. I still have so much to do before Christmas, I’m trying not to panic. This Christmas time wedding has really thrown me for a loop! I have an appointment today to have my hair cut and colored and then I’ll try to do some more shopping and hopefully start wrapping. Daily chores when I get the chance. I also have to stop at the butcher to order a ham for Christmas Day. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs. I think that’s it. I hope everyone has a nice day, see you tonight!!!
