How exciting!! My nephew who just got engaged is looking at a NYE wedding in Cincinnati, which would be fun - but they are finding everything costs double that weekend in Cincy!! LOL! They might be having a spring wedding!

It's a skating rink outside my world; supposed to be going to a feast and bowl gathering with friends later tonight. Dog sled or skates would be the best way of getting there. Might take a cab, 'cause I don't want to cancel and if it remains icy, my husband won't want me to drive. He's not worried about my driving; it's the other drivers out there, the type that don't slow down or give themselves more time to stop.
When I was little my parents and brothers had a family of friends that I didn't know about and they didn't even know I existed. About 16 years ago, two of those family members entered my life and we found out about our family histories. Been acquaintances for that long and bordering on friends the last 2 years and I enjoy Michele's company and the whole mystery of why I wasn't included as a child still baffles me.
Not much going on today; I'm in a cooking mode so I'm making two dishes, one for tonight and tomorrow night.

That wind was crazy!!!Good morning everyone!
It rained a lot last night and got really windy. My blowup Santa and Rudolph had to be turned off as the spikes came out of the ground and they had fallen over into the bushes.
Not much on the agenda today. Relaxing is my main plan. School starts back up next Thursday so I want to get as much relaxing and movie watching in as I can before that. Henry and I both got some board games for Christmas so we need to play those too. I have a huge collection of military board games and he is getting to the age where I can teach him to play them and understand what is going on in the game.
