Merry Saturday!

Wow, it is cold out there! Just hanging out at home today, working on chores, crocheting, and reading.

Be warm and merry!

Hello everyone.

Relaxing day today. We did not get as much snow as anticipated yesterday. Really only about 2 inches, and it was so windy it is blown everywhere. Now comes the cold temperatures. Back down to about 0 by Tuesday morning with wind chills around -15 or so.

It is about time to watch some football. Falcons and Eagles; I am not a big fan of either, but I would prefer the Falcons to win.

I had ordered a few DVD's (after Christmas sales) on Amazon and they have been arriving this week finally, This is what I got so far:

The Waltons, The Homecoming - A Christmas Story
Little House on the Prairie - Christmas at Plum Creek
Little House on the Prairie - A Merry Ingalls Christmas
The Bing Crosby Television Specials - Volume one
The Bing Crosby Christmas Specilas - Volume two
John Denver and the Muppets Christmas Special

I looking forward to watching these during the next couple of months. I have in mind to order some more DVD's in the next week or so. They have some great prices on-line with places trying to get rid of Christmas stuff.
Nice finds!!!

Good Saturday evening! The snowstorm has passed and left 36cm of snow. It was a nightmare this morning getting to work. Our parking lot had not been cleared so David had to help/push/clear a path for me to just get to the street. But then my small street had been cleared just once during the night and the car got stuck when I tried to turn into another street. This time I was just about to call a tow truck to get me un-stuck but a pick-up truck which had driven by backed up and two guys came out and brought their shovels and helped David get me out. There are still good people in this world. David gave them money and thanked them for their help.

My troubles weren't over though, there were areas on the highway where we could barely see. And once at work, the parking lot had not been cleared and I almost got stuck but backed up just in time and basically just parked there. The cleaning company people who were coming in at the same time as me also had tons of troubles and one of them did get stuck in the parking lot. We grabbed the shovels from the store and 2 of them got him out. I was relieved getting home that the worst was over but David had warned me that they hadn't plowed our parking lot, so I was dreading having to find a spot on the street in between the mountains of snow, but as luck would have it, just as I turned onto my street, I saw the plow guy leaving our parking lot. The one good thing about today.

I hope everyone is safe at home and enjoying a a nice evening.

So sorry you had to venture out in that Martine. I’m glad you made it back home safely. I hope you and David have a relaxing evening!
xx

Morning MMC! Good Sunday to you all. A cold morning here but back to normal I suppose (or below normal I should say). But it is January so we expect some of this. Still enjoying my tree lit up today and for another week or 2. Going to my Uncle's tonight for our monthly meeting/dinner. Have a great Sunday everyone and enjoy the NFL games!

Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be sunny & chilly today with highs near 25, we’re currently at 17 degrees. Not too much going on here, I may take a ride to Barnes & Noble for a new book. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. I’m going to make baked ziti for dinner. I guess that’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Long time, no see! How y'all doing? It is cold, cold here. Well, not as cold as it is for some of you, but it is cold to us. It is 21, but the wind is biting cold. Brrrr....

We had some ice move in Thursday night/Friday morning. No loss of power, just bad enough that we didn't get to have school. Now, there is a really good chance of light snow today and then maybe a couple of inches tomorrow. Being out Friday through Tuesday might be a really nice break. I'm already excited to have a 4 day weekend, but a 5 day weekend would be amazing.

Today is the last day for my last inside Christmas decoration. It is time to put it away. Time to bring on Christmas 2018.

Y'all have a good one...I'm going to scour the rest of the board and then eat some breakfast.

Good Morning.
Welcome to Weekend Part II.
(I hope it goes at least as well as part I did.)

We awake this morning to a new set of count figures.
Let's take a look at them immediately:
Days to the Season: 303
Days to Christmas Day: 345

And we immediately perceive that as of this date, the 300-Day Season Window is now UNDER half a week away. A scant THREE days!
(How did we get to our first Milestone of the new Count Season so quickly??
Well, it's because our Season count has been running since November 13.
That's one of it's beauties!)

Typical, cold January weather? It's back.
We have started off this morning at 26 degrees after reaching 70 just the day before yesterday.
And it's only going to get colder, as the weather service is predicting lows in the mid teens by Wednesday.
At least we are precipitation free.

Have a Super Sunday as you enjoy another day of NFL playoff games, Folks!

I hope everyone who got the snowstorm is safe and warm at home.

We were expecting rain into yesterday afternoon, then a sharp temperature drop that would turn it all to ice. But we got off lucky. The rain stopped earlier than expected, and the wind came up and dried the streets before the hard freeze set in. Today it's sunny and very cold, a real January day.

I took down the front-room Christmas tree and decorations last week; we got the outdoor lights and decorations down yesterday before the hard freeze; and this morning I took the ornaments off our small TV room tree and draped a string of white lights on it. This is the first year I've done that. I'm looking forward to seeing the white lights while it's still cold and dark in the evening when I get home from work.

Good Morning. Chilly one this morning around these parts. I looked at the weather forecast on my phone first thing this morning and I see they have snow indicated for Tuesday and Wednesday. Hey, It's January, and speaking for myself, I love it when I'm on the inside of the house, watching the snow falling on the outside, while I still have the Christmas tree up. It looks so beautiful all lit up during the snow falling, I just want to make some hot coco and put a Christmas movie in!!!! I think I'm going to keep it up till like February sometime.

I never made the road trip down to Pa/ MD this weekend, my Mrs. was not feeling 100% and I didn't want to put her thru that 5 hour ride, and nor did I want to leave her alone either, so I'll wait and do it another weekend.

You know, this would be a great time of the year for QVC to have an after, after, after, Christmas sale, during the middle Of January. I would be all into that, So instead, I'll guess I'll head over to Amazon and see if they have any good Christmas sales on-line today.

Does anyone know of some other good on-line stores that has some good after Christmas things/ left over stock sales?

Merry Sunday!

Another cold day in the Great Lakes area. Went for a walk this afternoon and enjoyed the crisp air. Lucy-Fur went with me and was a bit upset I didn't give her a special treat. It is a lot of fun taking walks with cats instead of dogs. :)

Tomorrow the weather forecast is for another couple of inches of light snow. Next weekend the temperature could be in the 40s.

Only 10 days to the first Rudolph Day Eve of the year!

Have a safe, warm, and merry week!
