View attachment 42561 Good morning! Big day for us today! And not in a good way....

In a little while, I’m taking my wife to the Ortho Clinic where her broken ankle will be assessed and surgery scheduled. She broke it last Thursday. Nasty injury that’s going to require some screws and maybe some other hardware. We’ll know more in a bit....

And one of my dear doggies is already at the vet for the beginning of his Heartworm treatment. He’ll be there all day so the staff can monitor his reaction to the medication. I hate it because he’s a nervous dog who spent a year in shelters before we adopted him. This can’t be easy for him.
Very sorry about your wife's ankle injury. I have known a few people who broke their ankles in the past few years and it's never an easy process. And I hope your sweet dog is going to do well at the vet all day. Is that him in the picture? He looks so adorable. Sending positive thoughts for your wife and your fur baby.

Good morning ~
Happy Tuesday!
We’re waking up to snow this morning. We’re only expecting 2-4 inches, it’s supposed to taper off later this morning. I have an appointment to have my hair cut today. I’m going to stop at the butcher while I’m out to pick up a turkey breast for dinner. I’m going to make mashed potatoes & gravy and sautéed spinach as well. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Enjoy your snow!! Dinner sounds great!!! Have a great day!!

Having a little SB party...a 3 foot Italian Sub, Chicken Wings, Chips, good stuff.

Oh, I remember you talking about that 3' sub. I believe last year after you talked about it, I had to go out & buy an Italian sub for Jim & I for supper one night. LOL! Sounds tasty!

Morning MMC. We got a little snow this morning. Just enough to cover the ground again and make everything look like Christmas time. I left work 1.5 hours late but that just made me get to see more Christmas lights. I was pleasantly surprised that where I work a good handful of people still had the houses lit. It really helps keep me going through the winter. Hope you all have a good next to last day of January!
Nice that you are still seeing lights. So pretty! Have a great day!

Good Morning, Everybody!
Inside two weeks to go, now.
(Don't panic, Folks. Christmas isn't suddenly about to arrive. Explanation below.)

First up, the daily data release:
Days to the Season: 287
Days to Christmas Day: 329

The above "inside two weeks" remark refers, of course, to the pending approach of our next Milestone, the 1/4 marker to Christmas Season 2018.
It will be here in just 13 days!
(Yep. That's inside two weeks, alright.)

Well, our weather has definitely taken a chilly turn and we had rain most of the day yesterday.
Today is supposed to show clearing but be colder, with a predicted high of 43, after which we are supposed to get down to 21 tonight, as Mother Nature reminds us that she is still in control.
This AM has started off damp at 34 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Friends!
Thanks crown. Crazy there is only 1 day (after today) left in January! Have a great day!!

Good morning, MMC!!
Well what turned out to be forecasted as coating to an inch turned into 5 inches and still snowing. So no school for the kids!
Hope you all have a great day and everyone is feeling better soon!
Hope your kids enjoy their day off school - and you enjoy your day too!! Enjoy that snow!

Good morning Merry and thanks for the info. I did check a few places on the web that advertised it, but they all list as "Out of Stock". I'll have to dig a bit deeper and see if it is only seasonal.
Have a wonderful day...

That's the stuff!
It says "imported from Bavaria," that's why World Market had it---they carry food and beverages imported from Europe. I guess it's only seasonal. But you have something to look forward to this coming Christmas!

Good evening.

Well, I made it through the school day today, BUT I am taking tomorrow off. Massive headache, body aches, chills, and of course fever. :(
I am hoping a day of resting with lots of fluids will help me recover. I will be better by the end of the week, I will be better by the end of the week, I will be better by the end of the week....

The crazy weather does not help in terms of the spreading of germs. 50 degrees one day, snowing the next, warm the next, super cold the next... I would much prefer if it would just stay winter until Spring time.

I hope everyone had a good Monday!

Happy Tuesday! (Aww, it's only Tuesday??)

We got a couple inches of snow overnight and it's still snowing lightly, but it's supposed to end pretty soon. It made for a careful rather than a treacherous drive in. (I don't do treacherous drives if I can avoid them!) So it looks and feels like January out there, all right.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Tuesday!! Going to be a chilly day, not getting out of the 20's. Right now we have bright sunshine & a flurry falling from the sky here & there! Bosses are at a tax appointment this morning, Mary Tyler Moore Christmas on Youtube - it's a good day. Ha ha!! :)

I hope you all have a super day!!!

Morning Holiday. It just so happens that I was watching MeTV and caught the premier episode of the MTM show. Hard to believe it aired while I was still in High School.

Sorry to hear about your wife. My MIL went through an identical situation a year ago. She recovered very well from it and has had no issues since. Sending prayers for your wife and hope your pup is ok!

Morning tbutler. One of ours just had to go through a long Vet visit last week. Riley bounced back fairly quick (he is ten now) and was back to his usual self, whatever that is since he mostly sits and stares and makes you figure out what he wants, by the next day.
Hope your comes out of it just as quickly...

Good Tuesday morning! A day off for me. I need to tackle laundry and chores. With David and I being sick all last week, not much got done unfortunately. The antibiotics are having some positive effects, like less coughing during the day and more of a dry cough. But I still cough a lot when I get up in the morning and when I do something more physical, so if nothing improves by Friday, I'll have to go see a doctor again.

Some good news at work: in about 3 weeks, we should be a complete team of managers, after spending 10 months short by 2-3 members last year. It comes as a huge relief, there's a lot more pressure when you have to cover for missing members.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Morning Martine. I pray your illness (and that of David) passes quickly. As for your team, that is just another reason why I have gotten away from management at Wal-Mart. Covering for a never ending lack of personnel has become a norm there. But I am glad your team is coming together.

He is in the (slow) process of building a vacation home on Prince Edward Island. Looks SO pretty!!
Prince Edward Island is a beautiful place. My wife and I love the island and I have a brother who lives there with his family. I guess I should point out that it is not part of Nova Scotia. PEI and NS are 2 separate Maritime provinces.....

Prayers for speedy as possible 100% healing for your wife!

And what a sweet dog! Adorable. Prayers for him as well!! Sending you strength to get through it all!! xx

Enjoy your day off. I hope both you & David are feeling better!!
Nice that you will have extra help at work again!
Have a wonderful day!
