Good Morning, Weekend Chasers!

And we are now over the hump and on the downhill slope to the final Weekend Eve and Saturday of the month. Amazing how fast it has passed.

We are also amazed every day at how quickly our count is moving along and how close we are to Milestone markers numbers six and seven.
(That's right, SIX and SEVEN. We are really that far along on our Milestone list!)

First, the numbers for the day:
Days to the Season: 229
Days to Christmas Day: 271

And markers number 6 and 7?
Well they are, in order, the 1/3 point to Christmas Day and the 200-day Season Window.
How far off?
Less than a month in both cases. The former arrives four weeks from today and the latter the very next day, after which the first of our count numbers will start with a "1". That's right, a ONE!
(WOWZERS!)

Holy moley, free and last!
Free from the clutches of chilly temperatures and a drippy, damp atmosphere.
It was beautifully warm and sunny yesterday and is predicted to be so today as well before slightly cooler temps return.
(I was able to get some needed yard work completed!)
We are right now at 60 degrees here in the capital city of NC.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks!

Thanks Crown! I can't believe the 1s are coming soon!

Happy Thursday MMC ~
My oldest went to the doctor yesterday and it looks like she caught the flu from my husband. I feel like I might be coming down with something but I’m hoping it’s just a cold. It will be a pretty busy day for me, Rocky has a vet appointment this morning. I was supposed to have my hair cut and colored afterward but we’ll see. I’m going to make a doctor appointment if I feel any worse as the day goes on. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be fried chicken and homemade macaroni and cheese. I’ll pop back in when I get the chance. Hope everyone is well, have a great day!
xx
Oh no...sorry to hear this!! Hope she is better soon! I just saw on the news last night that the CDC said there is a 2nd wave of the flu going around...ugh! Definitely get to the Dr if you don't feel well.

Happy Friday Eve!
I have to run to the grocery store today to pick up a turkey for Easter. My SIL is bringing the ham.
We don't get tomorrow off and my kids are actually in school for a 1/2 day to makeup a snow day so we don't have to go even further into June.
Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Friday Eve! Actually it's my "Friday" since we are closed tomorrow for Good Friday! :) Not much going on today besides work...and looking forward to the work day being behind me! ;) It's very rainy today!! Not a good hair day! ;)

Good morning. Happy Thursday wishes to everyone.

It’s a short work week with tomorrow being Good Friday and it is a paid holiday for me. I will definitely, not turn down a 3 day weekend. Have a good day!
Enjoy your day off tomorrow!! And a 3 day weekend!

Morning MMC. Hope you're all well as we head towards Easter Weekend not far away now. I don't get any days off for Easter but I do have a Monday off in Mid-April that I planned for. And I know today is Holy Thursday but also it is the opening day of baseball season! That's always such a big thing. It's hard to believe that the season will start today and not end until around Halloween. Crazy thoughts. Have a great day!
I was looking forward to watching the Reds this afternoon, but darn their game was postponed due to all the rain!
Have a good day Edge!!!

Oh no!! Get out the Lysol!! I hope your daughter is feeling better quick & you don't come down with it.
I hope Rocky's appointment goes well!! xx Give him a hug for me! There was the tiniest little Yorkie at the groomer yesterday. So little!!! So cute!!!
Have a good day HMG!!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I still have this aggravating cough. I called the doctor's office this morning, hoping they would just call in a prescription refill, but the lady wouldn't talk to me. She just transferred me to the nurses message line. Grrr.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

That's a bummer the kids won't get much of an Easter break. I'm sure they did enjoy their days off though! :p Kids here had to go today - but that is a make-up day after being off last week Thurs. for State Semi's.
Good luck with all your Easter prep! I bought some of my ingredients last night but I'll have to go to the grocery again- wasn't thrilled with the lettuce at the store I was in.
Have a great day SFM!

Good for you! Enjoy that long holiday weekend!
It'll be a workday for me.

What a beautiful dog! I hope they find her owners. Or that she finds another loving home while at the shelter.
I hope so. She was so sweet. While we were waiting in my van for the police to show up at the shelter, she climbed up into my lap and just stared out the window. So friendly. She’s got to have a family out there!

That reminds me of the shi-tzu my husband found wandering alone on our street. No one seemed to be looking for him, so while David waited for me to get home to bring him to the shelter, he brought him up to our appartment and he was so docile and sweet and all he wanted was to play with Loki's toys. The shelter found him a loving home within a week and I was so relieved.

Good Thursday morning! I've been cooking a ham in maple syrup/apple cider/broth all morning for a brunch-type meal organized by the social committee at work tomorrow. I'll be happy when tomorrow's work day is done, as David and I will have a three-day weekend. Have a great day everyone!

I can't believe baseball season is starting again. I have fond memories of being little and my dad listening to baseball games on the radio while sitting outside on summer evenings. The same announcers are still calling the games on French tv today, brings me back everytime I hear them. Have a great day as well Edge!
