Christmas Countdown - 2018

Y'know how people get excited when the various holiday items hit the shelves? I get that way about stars-and-stripes themed items that come out for Memorial Day/Flag Day/July Fourth. Yesterday I saw stars-and-stripes picnic items (plates, cups, glasses, etc.) starting to come out on the seasonal shelves at the supermarket, and got that feeling that "summer's on the way!" (Even if we haven't really had spring yet!)

I feel the same way seeing the Maple Leaf items before Canada Day or Remembrance Day.

We saw red, white, & blue decor at Hobby Lobby on Easter weekend. That got me looking forward to our Memorial Day weekend camping trip!

TGIF! I don't know the plans for tonight, but DD & DH are going to their first Daddy/Daughter dance tomorrow night. Sunday will be church x 2.

It's supposed to rain tonight & snow tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a good day!

Good morning ~
Not too much going on here today. I’m just having my coffee and I’m working on a menu plan & grocery list. I need to run to the bank, pet store & butcher this morning. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. We will be attending a wake later this evening, my husbands Aunt passed away. She was 95 years old, God bless her.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Crazy day so far. Got a four-figure hospital bill for a minor procedure done several weeks ago, and had to get on the phone to find out why coverage was rejected. It was a referral snafu, so I had to phone my doctor's office, then had to dig up contact information for the doctor who did the procedure ... still not quite ironed out, but well on the way. For good news, though, I got a postcard that my jury duty that was scheduled for this month has been cancelled. For more bad news, we need repairs done on a basement ejection pump---we've called three plumbers, but none of them has called back. It's been over a week.

In spite of that, hoping to enjoy the weekend when it gets here at the end of the workday!

I hope one of the plumbers calls back soon!

So I think we really have a quiet weekend....I had to go pick up my youngest daughter from school. She felt like she was going to get sick and has a bad headache. She is upstairs sleeping, which she never does so that leads me to know she really doe not feel well. I have a feeling it could be the flu since she was exposed to it..we'll see. I have a call into her Dr's office to see if I should bring her in or not.

Praying your daughter does not have the flu and will be better soon!

Merry Friday!

Snow or sleet squalls have been alternating with sunshine all day. It is very windy out ~ glad to be home! The rummage sale and estate sale were both a lot of fun to go to ~ found quite a few things for the store and several Christmas CDs for me. = )

I am watching too! I have not seen this one before! Very cute! But these Hallmark Christmas movies are preventing me from getting anything done that I should be doing when I had an afternoon off!!! LOL

I know right, this is great!!! We had snow falling for most of the day. Tonight, we watched Home Alone and now Home Alone 2. All we are missing is the tree.
