Christmas Countdown - 2018

Merry Monday!
It’s going to be a nice day, sunny with highs near 58 degrees. Well my oldest and her fiancé officially moved in to their apartment over the weekend. Sigh. It’s strange not having her here this morning, I would be starting breakfast for her right about now. This will take some getting used to. Thankfully she’s close by! Anyway, just a typical day of errands and chores for me. I’ve been craving homemade chicken soup so that is what’s for dinner. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!

Good morning MMC!! What a beautiful day!! Even if it's Monday!! Sun is shining, we're supposed to hit mid 60's today!

My hubby got the day off work & I am only working a few hours this morning, until I need to go stay with Mom. We are minus Amish help this week, so it's going to be a little hectic!

Hope you all had a good weekend. I was with mom most the weekend but Saturday night during my time off we went out for pizza & a few drinks, spent the night at the lake. Last night our neighbor came over. Poof, weekend gone!

Yesterday morning while Mom was eating breakfast I hit play on her cd player (by mistake - I thought I was turning on the radio) Guess what?? It was CHRISTMAS MUSIC!! So of course we had to listen!

Happy Monday..I went to bed early last night and am feeling a lot better today. Back to the grind today and I am easing back into it, taking my time going through my emails. Tonight my husband and I have to go buy a new fridge, my freezer is not working too well, we had someone come out but the price to fix the electrical panel would be too much. Oh well we have had it for a long time. It was chilly this morning but looking to forward to it warming up and the sun. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Friday morning! Apparently Spring is coming. There were tiny snowflakes this morning but now the sun is trying to come out and starting tomorrow, temperatures will FINALLY be going up above 10°C/50°F. And of course I'll be working this weekend and won't get to enjoy the actual arrival of Spring. I have the day off today but then I'll be working 6 straight days before enjoying a 3-day weekend. Hope everyone is enjoying a great Friday!

I hope your 6 days in a row go quick at work & you get to enjoy a beautiful 3 day weekend!!

Rocky did pretty good today. He walked a little bit better on his leash and he did okay with the basic commands. Definitely better than last week. Hopefully he’ll continue to improve! Two classes down, four to go.

Morning MMC. Happy Last Week of April! It's a busy one ahead for me. Lots to do at work and after work in the evenings. We had such a nice weekend for a change. The weather was so great. And today should be another. Hope you all enjoy your Monday!

My hubby has today off & he said he had a long list of things to get done today!! Including fertilizing our yard & tilling our garden!!

Good Morning, my Friends!
Back from the coast after a successful visit to the cottage. There is work to be done before the rental season begins but it's in pretty good shape after the long winter. We will go back a couple more times before our first renters arrive in June.

Thanks, Edge for your always dependable and well-done count yesterday.
And you are right. "It's getting late early this year".
(And each year, it seems to get later earlier and earlier!)

Well, onward with today's data:
Days to the Season: 204
Days to Christmas Day: 246

And just like that, we find ourselves scarcely HALF A WEEK away from dual Milestone marker, the first being the One Third Christmas day point and second, the 200-Day Season Window.
(So much pending fun before this week is out!)

The weather was a bit coolish at the coast Saturday and Sunday, but there was not too much wind and no precipitation. Got some preliminary things done and compiled a list of what else needs to be accomplished before the rental season.
Rain is predicted here in Raleigh today and tomorrow and we have commenced the new week at 54 degrees.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I loved visiting Denver, CO and the Rocky Mountains, but I'm happy to be home! I'll post a couple pictures later.

Nancy picked me up at the airport in Savannah Friday afternoon, then after dinner and, of course, some shopping, we got home in time to go out to eat for her mom's birthday.

Saturday was spent helping my niece move some furniture, and helping with a fund drive for my brother's wife's hospital costs. Then Saturday night, we went to St. Simons Island to stay in a condo that her sister had rented for the weekend. So I spent yesterday shopping and beach-walking on the island.

In two days' time, I went from the frozen mountain tops to an island beach LOL.

I have more to share, but I have some work I must get done, and our new boss started work today, so we're taking him to lunch.
