Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I was pretty busy yesterday, and didn't get a chance to post. It's been a super busy week again.

Saturday, Elizabeth auditioned for the part of Ariel in the Arts Center's production of The Little Mermaid. With her long, red hair and beautiful voice (I know she's mine, but she's still really awesome :D ), along with her acting experience at school, we were convinced she would be a shoo-in. Then some of the other singing and dancing redheads who wanted the part started showing up at the audition, and Elizabeth grew more concerned.

They called last night to offer Elizabeth the part! Her answer? "Yes! Yes! A thousand times YES!" LOL She is so happy, and we're so proud of her.

Jacob is still true-loving with his new girlfriend, too, so right now our kids are happy. And that's all Nancy and I need to be happy, too.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

That's wonderful for both of them. Great job extend to your daughter, for her efforts and hard work!

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, Half-Way Friends.
No, I don't mean it that way.
Rather the reference is to being HALF WAY TO CHRISTMAS SEASON 2018!!
Wow, Guys!

Days to the Season: 182
Days to Christmas Day: 224

Doesn't it seem like we got to the half way point so soon this year?
Time is just racing by. And as an older MMC'er, I can tell you the passing of a year always seems to accelerate as you age. Of course, the older you get, the smaller a percentage of your life a year is. A year to a 5-year-old represents 20 percent of his entire life, while to a 50-year-old, it is only 2 percent.

We hit 93 degrees again here yesterday, and the humidity just keeps rising.
Won't be long before we are in true summer conditions, if we aren't there already.
Today is supposed to be a bit cooler and it could come with some precipitation.
Our current temperature reading is 73 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!

HAPPY MILESTONE DAY!!! This is fantastic news Crown!
Wow, halfway to the Christmas season already! I can't believe we are getting so much closer to summer and CIJ. My goodness, I think I'm going to light a Yankee Candle (Cool Christmas Mint) to fill the apartment with the scents of Christmas to celebrate!

Merry Monday...back to the grind and today is my youngest daughter's birthday..she turns 12. I always say my kids love holidays...my oldest was born on Christmas and my youngest on Mother's Day!! It is pretty cloudy here now but it is supposed to warm up. My youngest daughter has a softball game tonight and I am bringing cupcakes for all the girls. Hope you all have a great day!

Well a Happy Belated birthday wish is extended out to your youngest.

Both of mine were born in November (ages 24 and 22 now), it's those darn cold February months. Funny story, my son was conceived in Feb of 92, my daughter in Feb of 94 and in Feb of 96, my ex wife made me sleep on the couch! LOL!!!

Good evening, everyone!

Just checking in to say that I miss you all. Christmas (and you guys) are always in my heart. I am super busy driving about an hour and 10 minutes each way to teach and then planning, coaching, etc. on top of that. It's been crazy!

Can't wait for this school year to be over in about five weeks and then onward to summer school!

My wife is a 6th grade teacher also Brent, she was just saying last night to me that the kids are starting to get a little nuts with the Spring weather and the looming end of the year coming soon. It's getting more and more difficult to keep them focused and to keep them reigned in. She's been coming home wiped, almost every day with the constant testing, inputting of grades, kids not behaving and being disrespectful and such.

I woke up this morning, got up and I felt like I was hung-over from the night before. Which, is impossible, since I don’t drink alcohol. I had a headache, felt like I didn’t get any real deep sleep and didn’t feel like myself overall. I pushed thru it, went to work, thinking like everything else, this too will pass.

But, by the time I got to the office (a little over an hour), I was feeling worse. It got to the point to where, I just couldn’t think and function like anywhere near where I normally would, so I left and went home.

On my way home, it dawned on me that last night, we had Chinese food for dinner. The last couple of times I had it before, a different places, all gave me a terrible headache and I didn’t feel right for days.

I did some research on this and I’m wondering now, if the MSG’s in the food is causing me to feel this way.

Has anyone else had any problems with MSG’s?

I read these things online about that there used to be a saying called “Chinese Food Syndrome”, I’m not joking either, it’s true, and it’s based on the MSG’s in the food.

We have 2 decent Chinese places in my town, I can eat at one without any problem but can not eat at the other place at all as it makes me feel sick and gives me a headache.

Happy Milestone Day! We went from below temps and feeling like fall Sunday to Well above temps and humidity today. This heat and nasty mugginess has me day dreaming about the Bers, the cooler temps, pretty fall colors and the thought of those wonderful Holidays! Suppose to get some bad thunderstorms tonight that will bring much cooler temps back for the reset of the week. Well I hope everyone has a great day!

We will take you at what you meant and not what might be implied. Like we're not all there or something.;)

A deceased Don Pablo's, and a recently dormant Perkin's, are being gutted out for their new purpose, but there are no signs outside letting us in on what the new adventures will be. While this isn't as exciting as working towards Christmas Eve, it is fun to speculate on what will fit in the different shaped/sized buildings, going forward.

I checked the tv guide app & there is nothing Christmas on tv today!! What they heck?! Don't they know it's Milestone Day??? ;) Might have to watch something on Youtube. Have a good Milestone day SFM!
I have a couple saved so I may have to watch one of those.

Congrats to Elizabeth and great news about Jacob....hope it continues to go well!

Thank you much! I am overall, but I gotta to tell you, for this is so weird. I've never had a reaction to anything like this, ever. I've been battling the headache, 5 Advil, 2 ibuprofen and 1 Excedrin. I'm knocking it down. But get this, I awoke this morning to my face and lips; numb and tingling! Crazy!!!! I again checked into it (after giving myself a stroke test) and there it was, it was another symptom of having a reaction to MSG's! This is nuts.

I decided to stay home again, for I am just not feeling like myself still, my brain feels like I've been out in the barn smoking some of mother's natures herbs... I'm going to just relax and take it easy today.

Conclusion - no more Chinese food; ever and stay away from foods that have MSG's in it. I checked with my siblings, and my sister has the same issue, it gives her a terrible headache, so she stays away from it.
Wow...that is crazy...I hope you feel better!

Stick with Mexican food! ;) But seriously, I do hope you feel better as the day goes on!

Hope your storms aren't too bad!! xx Weather has been crazy! Have a good day Minta!

I know what you mean. Second best to watching "live" is pulling it up on free demand knowing someone else is sharing your experience no matter where each of you are in the movie at that moment.-gift-
Exactly! :)

Always liked Don Pablo's!!

Great plan!! I watched Christmas Comes To Willow Creek today. I can't believe I've not seen that one before. Good movie.
