Good Sunday Everyone. We finally will dry out some today but still there is a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. We had a lot of rain on Saturday. Everything is soaked. We're going to my Uncle's this afternoon for our monthly visit and a little BBQ. Have a great one!

What did you both think of the royal wedding? I am just now watching it on dvr as I worked all day. I think it’s a lovely ceremony and I loved Meghan’s dress, very simple and elegant. The veil with the Queen’s tiara was spectacular. I’m a sucker for these types of ceremonies.

I loved every minute, I continued to watch the highlights of the ceremony thought the day. Just beautiful. Like a fairytale.

Merry Sunday!
Another rainy day! We’re expecting showers this morning, chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon with highs near 70 degrees. Rocky does not like this weather at all, the poor thing doesn’t even want to step on the wet grass. Not too much going on here, I’ll just be working on the laundry. I’m making lasagna for dinner and we’ll be watching the American Idol finale later tonight. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning, Creatures of Habit.

And one of the wonderful habits we are all guilty of here is our daily review of the Countdown numbers and an inspection of the nearness of our next Milestone marker.

The numbers first:
Days to the Season: 177
Days to Christmas Day: 219

Then, the next marker:
It is the 200-day Christmas Day Window, as we all know by now.
But what you might not know is that is now only NINETEEN days down the road.
And you realize what happens then. We enter a DOUBLE-100'S count.
Indeed!

It was cooler yesterday (75 for the high) but the relief from heat came at the price of rain, and it fell most of the day at varying intensities.
Today should see a 10 degree increase in temperature but a reduction in the rain chance.
Currently, we are settled in at 71 degrees. It's damp but not raining.

Have a Super Sunday and enjoy the residue of your weekend, Folks!

Good Morning .. We actually have seen the sun peeking out behind clouds this morning but I think it will be short lived as they are calling for more rain and storms this afternoon. It's definitely warmer out today and a lot more humid today YUCK. I would rather the chillier temps then this humidity. Last night I was flipping through the channels and to my surprise Elf was on so I watched the rest of that. Going to try a new cookie recipe today that my husband found .. chocolate chip cherry cookies. Have a great day.

As I recall from my childhood, catnip is happy ‘most anywhere! We had a couple patches in our backyard. Our kitty loved fresh catnip leaves.

It does seem to like both full sun and shade. This year, the plants are all over the place, so I thought it would be a good idea to allocate one spot for my plants and all the others for the cats to enjoy. It will be much tidier looking, too!

I just read that the National Weather Service did officially upgrade the number of tornadoes that hit Connecticut to 4. Those storms were wicked. My wife's uncle still cannot get out of their neighborhood. He was in one of the towns where a tornado touched down in. He said that trees and power lines are still down everywhere around them. He said it looks like a bomb hit down the street from his house. Hundreds of cars damaged, homes, and trees down all over the place; it's a mess. We were not in any of those paths, but wow, it was pretty wild when the storms did hit here. Crazy huh?

My prayers are on the way!

Let us know how the cookies turn out ~ they sound yummy! Hope the humidity drops to reasonable levels and that you can enjoy some time outside today!
