Merry Saturday MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy today with a high of 78 degrees. Not too much going on, I need to make a big food shopping trip this morning. I also have to stop at the butcher at some point. Other than that I’ll be working on the laundry and doing some cleaning. Thats about it. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Good Morning, Weekenders.

Yep. We've arrived once again. Another weekend is here.

And with it comes a whole new set of count numbers.
Let's look at them right now:
Days to the Season: 171
Days to Christmas Day: 213

Another thing to look at right now is the steady approach or our next Milestone.
It is, of course, the TWO HUNDRED DAY SEASON WINDOW and it will arrived on our doorstep in UNDER two weeks, now. Just 13 days.
Then, of course, BOTH of our count numbers will start with a "1".
(How about that now, Folks!)

Yesterday was really quite pleasant, with temps in the 80's but relative low humidity. Again the rain did not fall and we had plenty of sun with mild breezes.
Today we should again be in the eighties, with about a 1/3 chance of precipitation.
Our NC weekend has begun here at 74 degrees.

Happy Rudolph Day!
I understand about not wanting to get out of bed. My hubby got a call at 3:30am to go into work ~ scared the begeezus out of me. I was sleeping so good when his phone went off! Grrrr!

Oh man, I had those calls like that, early in the am. This first thing that pops up in your mind is like "What's wrong"!

I'm one of those ones, that if I don't get at least 7 hours of sleep at night, I won't want to get up out of bed the following morning. I've been that way, my whole life. My grandfather would call it, being a bed sticker, lol! But, having to work those long days at the office, a 12-16 hour day, it eats into your evening down time, and your normal bed time, it makes me feel like I'm exhausted the following morning because I didn't get enough rest the night before. Then that pattern starts, to where night after night, the domino effect kicks in, and by the end of the week, your toast.....

Happy Friday / Memorial Day Weekend Eve!

Looking forward to the holiday weekend, even though the weather is going to be freakish ... sunny and near 90F today; near 90F again tomorrow, but clouding up and rapidly dropping temps; Sunday it isn't supposed to get out of the 50s; Monday cloudy, showers, and 60s. Ugh.

And our fridge/freezer is failing, so we'll be going shopping. It's been on borrowed time for a while. Fingers crossed that it'll hold out until we can get a new one purchased and installed.

Good luck with looking for a new refrigerator. You know, I think some places will actually haul your old refrigerator away for you, which is a really nice deal if you can get that.

No rain yesterday and the temperature/humidity was manageable.
Starting to pick up a bit of a mosquito problem, however. Par for the course this time of the year.
Today shows a slight shot at rain, with temps in the mid 80's.
Currently? We are at 71 degrees here in central NC.

I sure hope that it's not going to be a bad year for them this year, for me and you. We went down to the beach off of Long Island sound a couple of nights ago to watch the sunset, and literally, between the mosquitos and these biting gnats, they ran us off the beach. They were attacking us like it was feeding frenzy. I had bites on my ears, neck and arms. We've been going down there for two years, and that was the first time, that has ever happened.

Hope your feeling better SFM. I woke up with a headache as well, I took a couple of Ibuprofen and having some coffee now, in hopes that it will go away. I think mine is related to seasonal allergies, which is messing with my sinuses also.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Edge mentioned 100 days to the 'Bers?!? Woo Hoo!!

Today is my Friday from work. We're having a party for the plant to commemorate 10 years without a Lost Time Accident. That's a big accomplishment for a facility like ours, with such potential for accidents.

We're having BBQ catered, as well as gifts like t-shirts, coolers and umbrellas for the guys. We're supposed to close at noon, but I'm not sure if that extends to the admin staff, too.

The plant will be closed tomorrow, using our "floating" holiday, and we're closed Monday for Memorial Day, so a long weekend is here!

10 years, accident free, that's a great accomplishment for a working plant. I hope it stays that way!

Happy Saturday!
I am officially done with this school year. Yesterday was the last day! That being said, I will be back in next week helping conduct principal interviews and then the end of June for committee meetings.
Tomorrow is graduation which will officially mark my son's end of high school. Two months from now he will be at Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. His life is about to get REAL!

This evening I have some graduation parties to attend. I am just hoping the weather holds out. It looks awfully cloudy outside and there is a chance for evening thunderstorms.
