Last day of the 200s already. This year is flying by. Well, the FIL is settled in. The same day he moved in, Monday, the main drain to the house decided it would clog. Turned out there was a huge tree root blocking the main pipe going to the city's drainage system. That's now been fixed, so we can use the bathroom, take a shower, and do laundry again without flooding the basement.

Supposed to get pretty warm today, but not unbearable. Time to take the dog for some needed exercise. Have a great Friday everyone.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday!! YAY!!! I work until noon'ish today, I'll stop to visit at Moms, then home to gather our things & head to the lake! My friend/neighbor is supposed to be there early today so we can hang out! :) Lucy was acting all bummed this morning but when I told her she gets to go see Maggie today ~ her little head perked right up! :D This is them last weekend...

Tomorrow we are having breakfast with the neighbors & then doing a bicycle poker run at the lake - weather permitting! Looking forward to that. It's always a good time! :)

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, Friends!
And yes, we have indeed arrive at yet another Milestone Day, number nine on our chart, in fact.
(Kind of hard to believe we have now reached 9 Milestones in 2018, already, isn't it?)

Let's look at today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 158
Days to Christmas Day: 200

The 200-Day Christmas Day Window.
The last day we will start one of our counts with a "2" in a long time.
Tomorrow. A double-1 count starts and will last through until the first of our DOUBLE DIGIT counts, which as you will notice is really not so very far away now.
(Wow!)

Getting a bit warmer but still not uncomfortable. No rain either, but that may be changing by Sunday.
Our current reading is 71 degrees and we should remain dry for today.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Everyone.
And let the weekend begin with a bang this afternoon!
Thanks Crown! Happy 200!

Merry Thursday!

Been a busy week what with work and estate/rummage sales. I'm working on paperwork but took a break to catch up on the forums.

Be merry!
Merry Friday!

Well, I'm up and awake because tonight, after I got home from work, I ate dinner and then started to sit down and relax a bit when I discovered a bump on the back of my head. I got Jill to check it out and it was a tick... Just Great!
So, she didn't want to touch it, there were no walk-in clinics open to take it off, so I had to got to the ER.

I was not very thrilled about that! However, maybe it was a good thing that I did after all. We were there for about 3 hours and it was confirmed that it was a deer tick that was latched onto the back of my head. They removed it and I have been put on antibiotics for 10 days/ 500 mg, 3x's a day. I brought the tick home in a specimen bottle and we are going to mail it into the Connecticut AG department for testing. Of course, I couldn't bring it in the house until I had it double contained.

Well, at least I found it early.
Oh ugh! Are ticks good for anything whatsoever??? YUCK!! Hope everything turns out well!

Happy Friday MMC! Today kind of ends the long road from New Years for me with very few week days off. From now till Mid-August I've got a bunch of days off including next week Monday & Friday so back to back 3 day weekends. My brother comes in Monday night and we're going to my Uncle's this Sunday. Saturday will be some other stuff going on so it should be a busy weekend. Hope you all enjoy your day. Oh yeah we haven't used the a/c here since Saturday. Might need it today as it gets warmer!
Enjoy your long weekend. I'm sure you'll have fun w/ your brother being home next week!

Merry Milestone Day!!! So hard to believe!! 200 days!!!!!!

Merry Friday MMC!
It’s going to be a nice day, partly cloudy with highs near 73 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and I’m working on a menu plan and grocery list. I have my yearly dermatologist appointment later this morning. I’ll probably stop at the butcher afterward. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. And I plan on getting outside with Rocky to enjoy the weather. I’m going to grill steaks for dinner. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!
xx
Enjoy your day! Steaks sound great!

Good Friday morning! We’ll be on day 2 of a job fair for our new store. We had some great candidates yesterday, but we also didn’t have enough candidates. Hopefully today and tomorrow will yield better results. The weather is perfect, sunny and not too warm, but we’re working morning ‘til night so I can’t enjoy it, bummer. Hope everyone will have a great day ahead!
Hope things are going well at the new store. Have a good day Martine!

Happy Milestone Day and it's Friday! Looks like we are going to have a beautiful weekend. We don't have too many plans this weekend. My daughter has an end of the year softball party tomorrow and that is about it. I am looking forward to relaxing. Hope you all have a great day!
Hope you get to enjoy a beautiful & relaxing weekend!! :)

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's good to be home! Of course, I have to spend a week in Orlando at the end of June, but the following week is all mountains with my family, baby!

My brother went to the emergency room yesterday, after what he thought might have been a "pin stroke". They told him they found no evidence of a previous stroke, or threat of a future one, which is nice to hear, but they don't have a good explanation for his symptoms (which were short-lived, like 30 seconds, but frightening). He has a lot on his plate with a VERY young child, and a wife newly wheelchair-bound, so they say stress combined with exhaustion may be the culprit. I hope that's all it is.

Anyway, he says he feels better, and he promises to try to rest more.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Happy your trip went well!
Prayers for your brother...I am sure his anxiety levels must be at an all time high for sure.

Glad to hear your FIL is all moved in. Sorry to hear about your drain blockage, but glad to hear that is fixed now! Hope things are less eventful from here on out!!
Have a great day!

Oh gosh! Prayers for Jim! How scary! I'm sure he has been pretty stressed out!
Nice to have the mountains to look forward too! :)
Have a good day!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve said hello, but I’ve signed on three days in row and thought I said check in.

Life is keeping me very, very busy. My kids are growing like weeds, work feels crazier all the time, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Today is hubby’s 33rd birthday, but he’s been working for almost 2 days straight, so we won’t be seeing him today, but hope he’s staying safe and having a great day!

Hope all is well with you all and your families! We’re under 200 days!
