Thank you xmastidings! It turned out to be an easy fix, my husband just had to replace a hose!
Good news!! My hubby went down the basement at midnight on Monday & for some reason checked our sump pump & thank God he did...water was just about to come over the top! We have 2 sump pumps & neither were working!! Before yesterday we had such little rain, I couldn't believe the water was that high so it must have not been working for awhile. He got 1 of them working & it took the water down. So he picked up a new one yesterday. Whew!

Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! Work is overwhelming since my coworker said she's leaving. Friday is her last day. Taking on extra work but eventually soon they will replace her. Not sure when I can even take days off this summer now till things settle down but I was able to swing off next Wednesday to break up the 1st long week without her. Have a great Pines Day!
Good morning Edge! Will you not be able to take your 3 day weekends you had planned since she is leaving? Hope the transition goes well!

Good Wednesday morning! After the extreme heat and humidity on Monday, we had a wonderful cool down yesterday and it's just perfect this morning. Still lots to do for work even on my day off. I have to buy carnival-themed snacks for our group orientation on Saturday. I'm preparing everyone's schedule for the next 3 weeks. And I'm putting together a Powerpoint presentation on the health and safety quiz our employees will have to take on Monday. But first things first, I'm off to enjoy a nice long walk with David and Loki and enjoy the sunshine.

David got his MRI results back yesterday and there is another tear in his shoulder, as we suspected. No idea yet if the health and safety board will accept it as a relapse and will cover his salary. I just want him to be ok, money is not the issue. It's kind of scary, one of his tendons is torn 2/3 of the way through. His physiotherapist saw some improvements though. And finally his employer is offering him modified light work. If there's one thing I know about being an employer is that from day 1 you offer light work. It costs much less for a company to keep the worker on with modified work than to have him on leave.

Hope everyone will enjoy a great day once again!
Prayers for David! Hope it all turns out good! Have a good day Martine!

Good morning!
Merry Pines Day!
We’re going to have sun and clouds, highs near 78 degrees. Not too much going on. I’m going to try and take Rocky for a walk as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. The little stinker is still giving me a hard time, he just goes to the corner and then wants to go back to the house. We live on a little cross street so the corner is really close lol. I wish I could get him to go further so he would burn off some of that energy! Anyway, I’m just going to do some food shopping later this morning. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. I also need to fry meatballs and get a pot of sauce started, dinner will be spaghetti. I guess that’s about it for me. Hope everyone has a nice day. See you tonight!
xx
That little stinker!! How cute though! Have a great day HMG!

Good Morning.

We will crest the week at noon and begin the downhill trip to the weekend.
And the view to the half way point to Christmas is great!
(Further details pending.)

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 146
Days to Christmas Day: 188

And that HALF WAY marker?
Well, it's just SIX days away, now. UNDER A WEEK off!
(Our advance is progressive and relentless, Folks.)

Hot and Humid. Enough said. The weather has been unkind the last few days to say the least. (And the less said about it, the better!)
Suffice it to say, that some relief should be forthcoming by week's end and we can at least temporarily get away from these triple-digit heat index values.
Today's installment has commenced here in central NC at 77 degrees.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Guys!
See you at the 'Pines this evening for the final open house of spring.
(Although calling this kind of weather "spring" is a bit of a stretch!)
Thanks crown! See you tonight. And I agree ~ the weather sure doesn't feel like spring - at least not the last few days for sure!

Good morning MMC!!
Typical day of work for me and then tonight I am going to try an aero-pilates class. One of my daughter's friend's mom is an instructor. We'll see how it goes..lol Hope you all have a great day!
Good luck with the new class - sounds like a good workout! Have a great day!

Good morning all.

Rain and thunderstorms are the forecast today. At least it will bring the heat down some.

Yesterday we went to IKEA as we are doing a little rearranging and needed a couple of things. I am pretty sure Henry sat on every couch in the store.

Then we went to Jungle Jim's to pick up some groceries. If you are not familiar with Jungle Jim's, it is in Cincinnati and it is a huge grocery store. They have all of the normal stuff but then they have a lot of hard to find items as well as international foods. They have whole sections and small rooms in the store dedicated to food from around the world. It is not U.S. versions of international foods either, but actual imports. The store itself is really neat too. They have animatronics set up throughout the store that talk or sing songs; such as a giant Campell's Soup Can, characters from cereal boxes are part of a band, a Lion names Elvis that plays Elvis songs. Then the bathrooms.... The door to the bathroom looks like a port-a-john, but when you go in it is a very big, very clean restroom. We do not go there often, maybe twice a year, but it is always a lot of fun.

Everyone have a great day!

We've been there! Went with my sis & bil! She told us we HAD to check out the bathrooms. Too funny!! Oh, and the jelly beans!!! :D
Have a great day!

I LOVE Jungle Jim's!! What an amazing place! I have to limit myself to one, maybe two trips a year as well because I overspend like crazy there, but who wouldn't? Their coffee and wine selections were amazing. I think you have inspired me to plan a trip....

Hey there folks, I’ve been pretty darned busy for the past 5 days. We finally (officially) obtained our home. We did the final walk thru this past Friday, but, i got the keys to the place on Thursday evening. That night, I got to the house first, then I waited for my wife. She got there and I carried Her over the threshold as it was the first time she came to the house as an owner. Then inside I had a bottle of bubbly, and other things in the refrigerator waiting for her.

Since then, we’ve been packing and going over to the house in the evenings and cleaning it. And boy, do I mean cleaning it! We are both like, nope, not moving in till Mr Clean and Clorox Bleach hits everything, lol.

We have our bedroom set being delivered tomorrow, carpet to be installed and then cable hooked up.

Friday the movers will be here with two moving vans, a 28 and 17 footer. And then the big moving day will then commence. We’re super excited and have been busting our behinds to get the place all super clean.

So, if you don’t hear from me much, you’ll know what I’m up to over the next 4-5 days.
Congrats on the new home ....

Good Wednesday afternoon, Christmas friends!

Nancy and I went to listen to Elizabeth sing for the Directors Board for the Arts Center yesterday afternoon. She had to be there early and was already there. She called while we were en-route to tell us she'd been in a fender-bender. No one was hurt, but the car was really bent. It had happened right in front of the place where she had to sing, and everyone there saw her outside with the police, crying. Bless here heart, she still did a wonderful job singing.

We have a heat advisory in effect today, and wouldn't you know I have several tasks outside that require my personal inspection LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

That's terrible but glad she wasn't hurt and did well.

We love their coffee selection too. We picked up a couple of bags of coffee.

We usually get a bottle of wine and some imported beer. We still have some "special" beer in the fridge so we didn't get any this time.

Have fun when you go!

This is it:

How fun!! Looks like it might take a little time to put together, but that would be fun for the kids at family Olympics!

Sorry to hear about the fender bender, but I'm glad she is ok!
Stay cool!!

Henry loves the jelly bean selection. He picked up quite the bag full yesterday.
We did too!! It's easy to do! You don't realize how many your getting when you only take some of this flavor, some of that flavor & all the sudden...there's a big bag of jelly belly's! :D So many flavors!
