Christmas Countdown - 2018

[Holiday]

Wonderful. We're trending closer to Christmas Day than New Year's Day after today. How fantastic is that?!

I think I need to put on some merry music to celebrate!

The Middle was a Christmas show at 1:30 & then at 2 was a New Years episode. LOVE IT!!!!

It's a Christmas music afternoon. I am still technically supposed to be at school, but I had an interview today with another school board (in Ottawa this time, finally). I think it went well. I missed a few key points. I'm not the best interviewee. Instead, I really think it was something to build from. I'm pleased... even if I don't get the job.

Rather than driving the hour and back to do some marking, I have used one of my sick days. I think I will put on some Christmas music and make lunch. After that settles, perhaps, I will return to my old gym for the first time in two months (I've been working out at school), and then prepare dinner before going for a run. I'm always too busy.

The USPS is getting in on the holiday fun too!!! They unveiled the 2018 Christmas stamps today and I have to say, I love them!!

Hobby Lobby looked like it was Santa's Workshop!! There were 4 employees hanging ornaments and another one hanging up Christmas wreaths!! Then the cashiers were taking ornaments out of boxes and separating them in between customers. It was great!!! A few more weeks and they’ll really be in full swing.

What a bummer Friday was a wash out ~ glad it turned into a nice weekend!

Hobby Lobby looked like it was Santa's Workshop!! There were 4 employees hanging ornaments and another one hanging up Christmas wreaths!! Then the cashiers were taking ornaments out of boxes and separating them in between customers. It was great!!! A few more weeks and they’ll really be in full swing.

I need to run to the store for Moms groceries, then I have a mess to clean up as the storm that came through knocked our tent over, which took out our patio table, chairs & cooler. Could have been worse, but we have a mess to clean up! Broke a tile in the table. Hopefully the tent will be ok! And thank goodness I had just made Lucy come in. She wasn't in 20 seconds when the tent went sweeping through right where she was sitting under a chair under the tent. WOW!!! It's going to be a 2 person job for sure!!!

Yes!!! I had just put my shoes on to go to Hobby Lobby when the first bolt of lighting hit. I decided it could wait a few hours.

The second line that just went through wasn’t nearly as bad.

How was it?

It was a great show and the BMI was different than I expected. It was relatively small which was nice. Everything is close to the stage. It is general admission and they have some bleacher seats as well as folding chairs you can move anywhere. They also had some tables set up. A lot of people were standing up by the stage as well. Overall, it was really good.

What do you make of the name change from IHOP to IHOB? I thought it was silly and unecessary. Have a great day Edge!

An instrumental of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Midnite String Quartet was the first song to play. It really made for a festive hour or so. I hope you had plenty more merry milestone moments!

The interview went well. I didn't get the job, but it was a great experience. Neat that your son is interning at Parkdale Baptist Church. That's only about a 10-minute walk from Tinseltown - Ottawa's year-round Christmas store!

IHOP did not really change its name, it was only a little marketing campaign because they are adding burgers to the menu.
