Well, we did it! We are now officially, 100% moved into our home. It was a tremendous project, one that I underestimated just how taxing it was on our bodies, minds and wallet. It took us a solid 5 days to get everything moved into our home. We had 4 movers, a 26 footer and a 17 footer moving vans on Friday, and we filled them both. Plus my truck and my wife’s car. Then, we made a few trips with just the truck and then I had to rent a trailer to get the big things here like my tractor and such.

But in the end, for the first time in 3 years, all of my processions are now under one roof along with my wife’s. It’s a really good feeling.

Rest, and slowly unpacking is now going to be the fun part. I’ll see now, after opening boxes, I will be saying, “oh there that is, I was looking for that!”

Lucy is a piece of work! She was limping around all day yesterday ~ then we got to the lake & her friend Shay was there & they ran & ran & ran & ... around like wild women!!!! She was fine all night until Jim got home & she started limping again!!!! :p This morning she was limping a little but she let me mess with her paw, which she wouldn't do yesterday. She's a mystery!!!

It is 100* outside at this moment . . . and it is only the end of June. Yay ~ it won't be long before the 'bers are here! -reindeer-

Good evening, friends! My family and I had such a lovely day/evening. My brother, his wife, and kids just left. I’m truly blessed beyond words with an amazing family and am surrounded by love. We’re all very close and it’s the best times when we get together.

QVC’s CIJ starts in one hour, my friends! I didn’t think I would be awake for it, but it looks like a good possibility!

Hope you’ve all had a great day and are able to do something Christmassy this weekend!
 
Today, was just a brutal day in the sun and with all the heat and humidity. I took the snowthrower and attachments from off the tractor and install the 52 inch mower deck. What-a-chore! I was soaked with sweat from head to toe by the time I got it all together and ready to cut the lawn. Which, I did. It was so deep in places, that I had the tractor rpms as high as it could go, all three blades, just cutting it to shreds.

We also headed over to Lowe’s tonight and we bought a new grill and a 4 cycle gas operated weed walker. We didn’t have either, and they were both needed.

I’m beat beyond beat tonight and I’m headed off to sleepy land. Have a good night everyone.
 
Morning MMC and Happy July (including CIJ)! I remember in the last few days of December I was talking to a fellow MMC fanatic and we both agreed if we made it to July 1 we'd felt like we made it back to the better half of the year by far. And here we are. It's HOT out and that will be the theme all week long. But enjoy this day...we're in July now and that means all the Bers and holidays are coming closer!
 
Yesterday, I did some work at my Mom's house...handwashed her car, my wife's, and my car and did the inside of them. I moved the yard and then we had a swimming party to attend.

About 4, I realized I overdid it. I started feeling pretty sick and had to go in and lay down. It was so hot yesterday that the weather folks put out an extreme heat warning. I was so beat....and today, I am really sore. I am probably going to just stay inside today, but I HATE staying inside. It is a good thing QVC is running Christmas stuff all day....

Y'all have a good day. I'm going to read the boards and then do who knows what...

I agree! July feels very much like the beginning of the best half of the year. It’s all downhill from here into the joy and wonder! Yay CIJ!
 
Those Kringle Express oversize decorations are pretty cool. would love to find a place for them in my MAN Cave all year long.
