Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning. It's a cloudy overcast morning here, humidity is up and they are calling for storms today. Every once and awhile the sun tries to peek thru but the clouds are determined to cut it off this morning.

Boy, did I ever sleep good last night. A good nights rest sure does work wonders. It does not look like I will be able to really get into anything this weekend, because with my nephews staying with us (ages 3 & 6), I will be spending a lot of time with the boys, which will also allow for their mom to do some catching up with my wife.

Merry Friday MMC ~
We’re expecting showers and storms today with highs near 80 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee and working on a menu plan and grocery list. I have to run a couple of quick errands this morning and then I’ll be working on the laundry. I’m going to visit my parents later this afternoon. That’s about it for me. Happy Friday!

Our heat wave is supposed to break today amid heavy thunderstorms. Goodness, I hope so, as it has been around 85F in the house. Happily, we have window air conditioners in a couple rooms to keep us comfortable and enable us to sleep.

Back to work after a 2-day holiday, then the weekend. After vacation, the Fourth, and an extra day off, then one day of work before the next weekend, I'm getting spoiled. Well, that will end on Monday!

In addition, it feels like we are closing in on our next Milestone marker at an increasing pace as well.

We are now only EIGHT days away from the 2/3 point to Christmas Season 2018. ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!
(A torrid pace, indeed.)

We've had a two-day break from the really hot temperatures but have had to absorb some rain in the process.
Today is supposed to see us back to 90 for the high along with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
Currently, we are experiencing 77 degrees here in the heart of NC.

Today was absolutely gorgeous, but I spent the bulk of it catching up on chores I avoided while it was so hot and humid out. Tomorrow is going to be real nice, too, so I will be able to do some projects for the store. Monday I will be installing new displays: Christmas in July items and Fall glassware. Fun!

Good evening, friends! We are sitting here watching TV and just hanging out. Got my yard fertilized today and the rain came though 15 minutes later. Perfect timing! Better yet, the rain cooled things off! The temp tomorrow morning around coffee time is 73. I can't wait!

Happy Friday yes indeed! It was a good one all around. Jill’s sister and nephews are here, we took them out to the lake, and they had a great time catching frogs and getting in the water. Then we went driving around the property and then we got pizza and finally took them home for a bath and to bed. We wore them out.

Theyre cute kids.

I myself am close to calling it for the night as well, going to have a busy day tomorrow. The kitties are with me and they are getting all comfy and cozy too. I wish we could all work 4 tens and then have a true 3 day weekend, every weekend.

That’s how I spent my day yesterday, catching up on chores with all thw windows open and a strong cool wind coming in, finally cooling off the appartment.

Good Saturday morning! Temperatures will be on the rise after a much-needed cooldown yesterday but there won’t be much humidity, which will make this a perfect Summer day. I’ll be at work where we still don’t have air conditioning in the offices, but at least it won’t be as brutal as during the heatwave. Have a great day everyone!
