Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Morning, end of July Companions.

Incredible though it may seem, we are indeed down to the final day of this mid-summer month and ready to enter August, which is the last month before the 'bers begin.
(The year is just racing along)

Our count is racing along, as well.
Behold:
Days to the Season: 105
Days to Christmas Day: 147

And one more wonder to behold:
The 100-Day Season Window is now only FIVE short days into the future, after which we will commence a double-digit Season count.
Wowzers, indeed!

Still the rain, still the dampness, still the humidity. The only thing lacking is the high temperatures, kept down by all the clouds we had yesterday.
Today will see us in the low 80's, with an 80 percent chance of precipitation.
Our current reading is 75 degrees under skies which are overcast once again.

We sent Nathan with a list of addresses of family, some paper, envelopes and stamps; but I do not expect him to write too often.

This morning was little tough, but all was fine. Having served myself I know what he is heading into and I think he is really going to enjoy the Army. The hardest thing is just the whole next step of life thing. It is exciting to see him move on and start his adult life, but there is a sadness knowing he does not really "live" here anymore. We are proud of him and excited for him. Plus I am turning his room into my space!

Best of luck to Nathan and thanks to him for his service!

It’s a nice, chilly morning here currently. Warming up to 85 degrees, 90’s by the end of the week. Summer definitely plans to go out with a bang!

Good morning all!

Wow is it raining today! It is supposed to rain most of the day with possible storms this evening, and then more rain and storms tomorrow.

Henry has a friend coming over today. They will spend a good amount of time discussing the rocket ship they are designing. These are 9 year olds we are talking about; however, they discuss a multitude of subjects in the design. Henry loves science and reads about rocket fuel and thrusters. They want their ship to be able to travel through space and land on another planet and do experiments. It is always fun to listen to them. They discuss it so seriously.

Can you believe it is the last day of July! That means only one more month and it is Halloween season. Pumpkin everything!

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday!! I woke up this morning & could have sworn it was Wednesday! Not the greatest way to start the day!! It's raining & looks like it might rain all day! I actually wore a long sleeve shirt to work today!!! It's still July!!! Crazy weather. Supposed to have a high of 70º! Is it nap time yet??

Today is my oldest nieces 40th birthday!! I can't believe she is 40! How did that happen?? I was 6 when she was born, but I remember it like yesterday!!

Not much up for today besides work!

I think the headache is broken, but now I have a "headache hangover"---not feeling as sharp as usual, and a little slow. That should improve by tomorrow. It often happens after a stubborn headache.

I think you should end the night that way, with Lucy all snuggled up. Do something you enjoy to wind down, read a bit, knit, watch a Christmas movie, etc.

I ended the night watching Hallmark - even though it wasn't Christmas!! The Middle was a New Years episode though!

Love love love that picture of the two of them in the window! They became friends, so sweet. Loki used to look out the patio door when we left the appartment when he was little. It was so fun seeing the top of his little head pop up when we were coming home. But he rarely does it anymore.

Awe! Sweet Loki!! ♥ Lucy will watch us from the front window, leave & watch us pull in the driveway after she hears the garage door going up - but not every time! It's so cute to see their little faces in the window! But sometimes they make it hard to leave...

Good Monday evening! Well tomorrow is the big opening day at our new store. We had a loyalty event yesterday morning which went well but it was only for 3 hours. I’m just trying to relax as much as possible tonight. And thankfully I have 2 days off right after so I can recuperate. Wishing everyone a great start to the week!

Morning MMC! As a few here have mentioned where has July gone? Last day of the month. 1 month to go till the Bers? Summer always seems to go faster than the other 3 seasons for some reason. Merry Tuesday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with highs near 80 degrees, chance of a shower or thunderstorm later tonight. Not too much going on here. I straightened up the house and started laundry so far. Just having a cup of coffee right now and cooking breakfast for my husband. I’m going to make a Target run later and I have to stop at the pet store as well. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be tacos. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a happy last day of July!
