Merry Friday!! My youngest daughter came home yesterday from school with a fever and a cold. I gave her some ibuprophen and that seemed to work but then she woke me up at 3 and it spiked again so she is home today. Hopefully it is a quick virus. We don't have too many plans for the weekend. Hope you all have a great day!

I hope your daughter gets well soon SFM!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I hate to keep bragging about our weather, but GOSH! It's another beautiful day here in Bellville, GA! I know; soon enough, it'll be 100°F and 100% humidity, but for now this is wonderful.

I went to Jim's shop for a while yesterday to work on the golf cart, but his welder needed more repairs than the cart, so I didn't get much done.

Tomorrow morning, Mom and I are leaving at 5AM going to her place in the NC mountains to install an alarm system and replace all of the sheets and pillows I threw away after the crack-heads broke into the place. It'll be another 5.5 hour there, and 5.5 hour back day on Saturday. Elizabeth has to be in Savannah at 7AM on Sunday for a dance competition, so I'll have to get up early again. I'm already yawning, thinking about it.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

-sun-

Those are long drives. Safe travels for you and your mom!
Best of luck to Elizabeth!

Merry Friday!

Gorgeous day out today. I took advantage of the sun and breeze and hung a load of towels on the line outside.

There is another slow cooker full of sap going. It cooked down a bit overnight and I was able to add almost a quart and a half more to the pot. Still have over two quarts to add, but after all that has cooked down, maple syrup season will be over except for the clean-up and finding a spot to store everything.

Have a merry weekend!

Good Morning, Eve Extraordinaires.

The Eve of the Weekend. Can we really be here again so soon?
Well, the calendar says so, therefore it must be true.

But what else does the calendar tell us?
Well......some rather interesting things, starting with this:
Days to the Season: 229
Days to Christmas Day: 271

It, in conjunction with our count chart, also informs us in no uncertain terms, that next month will bring us not one, but TWO Milestone markers and that they will be back to back!
Coming up in 28 days - four weeks from today - the 1/3 point to Christmas.
The very next day - four weeks from tomorrow - we will be at the 200-day Season Window and the threshold of a 100's level Season count.
Let that sink in, now. ONE HUNDRED's level!
(The year is fleeing before our very eyes.)

Pleasant here yesterday, with only a very light jacket required by afternoon.
Today will see us climb into the 70's for a 2-day visit with spring before the 30's return for Sunday and Monday nights.
Right now, it is 50 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
Thanks Crown! We started the day with rain which turned into sun this afternoon. The sickness is finally subsiding in our house..finally

Morning MMC! Happy Last Weekend of March! It's hard to believe we've had 5 weekends this month and somehow we're already on the last one. I feel like this month has gone faster than any month since October. Not sure why but I'm glad it's spring and today we should see temps into the 60s! Have a great Saturday one and all!

Merry Saturday MMC!
Not too much going on here today, I’m just having my coffee and I’m working on a menu plan and grocery list. I’m going to do some food shopping this morning and I’ll visit my parents later this afternoon. Other than that I will be working on the laundry and we’ll catch up on some shows tonight. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!
xx

Good morning all!
It is a rainy day here in Ohio. Henry has a floor hockey game and the in-laws are coming up for a visit.

The Gettysburg trip last weekend went well. We were unable to hike Maryland Heights because the access road was flooded. But other than that it was a great trip.

My wife was on Spring Break last week, but Henry and I only have one day off for Good Friday. That is it until the end of the school year. But we are done before Memorial Day so it is not too bad. April is filled with state-testing and May is filled with lots of interruptions.

Well, everyone have a great day!

Good Weekend Morning, Count Followers!
Ready for the latest?
Well, let's go!

Days to the Season: 228
Days to Christmas Day: 270

And our binary Milestone markers, the 1/3 Season point and the 200-day Season Window?
Well, they are 27 and 28 days away, respectively.
Coming to an April near you.
Don't miss them!

Exceptional weather here, yesterday. Calm, sunny, dry and 74 degrees for our high.
Perfect!
Today should be a repeat, then cooler and wetter for tomorrow.
This fine weekend oasis has commenced here in Raleigh at 60 degrees.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everybody!

A special batch of homemade soup and love should do the trick - I'll send some your way.

My weekend: bike shopping, closet installations, church. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend.

Bike shopping - fun. I remember my fist CCM trike, my CCM bike with training wheels and then I took on my brothers' metallic gold bike with the banana seat and wacky handle bars and then my mom's 5 speed folding bike (fell apart on me when I was trying to make it through the pollywog pond on a double-dare - before moving onto racing bikes and mountain bikes. I don't have a bike now, but sure miss it.
I pretended my bike with training wheels was a horse; I called it Big Red and I was the jokey. Had a mutli-coloured checkered cap that I wore when one year and then wore it to bring me luck when I played board games with my brothers. It would have worked if they had not been cheating.

Hey Brad. There’s always coffee on here. Come on over. In fact I think I’ll have a cup or 7 right now! Cue the yabba!

Cue the YABBA and the song that came to mind this morning when I hear the gurgling of the coffee maker before smelling the coffee.

Made me think of you and Crown when you used to battle over coffee and tea.

I had a busy day from 8:00-10:30 and then called it quits so I could relax.

Took the cat to the groomers - he wasn't happy with me when I went to pick him up because two hyper dogs 1 a poodle the other a poodle mix with bug eyes and he didn't care for them at all. He was in his cage when I got there and I asked if he was ready to go home and he actually hissed at me.

Took the laundry to the Laundromat; have to take comforters and a blanket in tomorrow - too much to carry.

Filled the car up with gas and got my Lotto for tonight - bummer didn't win anything on the MAX tickets we had for last night - still waiting for that big break - until then I push along at work putting a tiny increase to good use.

My husband is doing better, but still has difficult days. I thought for sure he was dying at this point a month ago. We're inviting my dad over tomorrow for a visit and then he can pop around during the week for company so Gary has someone to converse with so he doesn't get too "stir crazy".

The cat seems to be over his kitty hissy fit and is admiring his beautiful coat. Could have made a stuffed toy from all the fur Christine managed to brush off him.

It's snowing again today - and tomorrow more snow :brr

Roads were slippery, but it's mild so my tires were trying to make little snowmen while I was driving - my indicator kept telling me it was slippery - I knew that - spooky though 'cause the pot holes are hiding under the snow. Saw a small bunny scooting across the highway and a young chipmunk - time to watch for spring wildlife.

Hope it disappears soon - I'm done with WINTER. I want sunshine and green grass and blossoms - I won't even complain when my seasonal allergies kick in - well - maybe a little.

Stay jolly! +k
