Good Monday morning! I was a glorious Summer-like day yesterday, but I was working and did not get to enjoy it. This morning the sun is out again though it's cooler. David has an appointment with his surgeon to see if he can go back to work on light duty/partial time. He's really itching to go back and feel useful again. His shoulder is improving but he has not gotten back a full range of motion when lifting his arm to the side. And the physiotherapist hasn't started him on strength exercised yet, so his arm is still pretty weak. I've just done my workout for the day and after breakfast I'll take out Loki to enjoy some of this nice weather. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift so I have some time in front of me to relax. Have a great day everyone!

Hope David gets good news at the doctor and he continues to improve!

Good morning, friends. I'm sitting on the deck, watching the birds, drinking coffee....life is good.

Saturday was yardwork, yesterday was food prep and grilling.....today is relaxing and I'm off to a great start.

Tomorrow is the last day of school. I'm pretty excited. I'm debating taking some vacation the rest of this week, but I dont' know. Not even going to worry about it....

Yall have a great one! See you later today.

Congrats - you made it! Enjoy that last day!

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day, MMC! I’m currently “on-call” to go in to work, if they need me. I was scheduled to go in at 7, but they didn’t need me this am, so they let me stay home, which was nice. I was able to stay home with the kids for a little bit. My supervisor called a little bit ago though and said there was a call off and I would have to come in at 11, which is a bummer - DD is in a parade at 10, which just screwed up the plans enough, that I ending up missing still. It’s okay though - I didn’t originally think I was going to go anyway. DH is working overtime today as well, so my mom and dad took her.

I’m not sure what our plans will be when I get off at 7 this evening. Maybe we’ll do a campfire or something and cook outside. The weather is supposed to be nice.

Hope you all enjoy the day and remember all the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice, giving their freedom to our great country! God Bless them!

Thanks, SFM! I think so too! :)
Thanks sugar but unfortunately David’s surgeon feels that he has to wait until mid-July to start light duty work. That will mark 6 months since his surgery, so I believe that’s the amount of time the surgeon usually waits to send people back to work. David is not happy right now but he knows he has to trust the healing process. And on top of his physiotherapy, he will now start ergotherapy, which I see as a really positive thing.

Good morning all, it is Memorial Day.

I hope everyone is having great weekend. Nothing big going on in my world today. If the weather holds out we might do a little grilling, but we are expecting storms later today. That seems to be the norm; I cannot remember when there was a day it did not rain at some point. It is a bit ridiculous. There are farm fields all over this part of Ohio that have yet to be planted due to the wet conditions. I have heard up to 50% of the farmland in the county has yet yo be planted.

In the town where I work, a group put up a WWI monument at the cemetery. The monument has 300 names of individuals from the area who served in WWI. One was a general who was in Belgium when the war ended and helped in the nation's rebuilding. Belgium is sending a representative to the ceremony for the monument today. I helped to put together a program at the school about the monument and WWI earlier in May. It is nice that WWI is getting some recognition, but it is sad it has taken this long.

Everyone have a great day!

While yes, it is a bummer, sounds like the surgeon has the right idea. Continued prayers and healing!

Good Morning, busy week for me with one overnight out of town on Tuesday - I won't be bringing my laptop so I'll have to play catch up on Wednesday, but I'm here now.

Had a good sleep. Ready to take on the day!

There were a few Christmas sightings on my trip over the weekend that I forgot to mention ... Christmas Wreath on a door, multi coloured lights in the loft of the old renovated barn that was turned into a banquet room. And several green mailboxes in a row with red handles. Some people wouldn't see that as a Christmas sign, but merry makers do.

Stay jolly! +d

Update: Out of town Wednesday and Thursday because I couldn't get a room at my hotel of choice. I should have booked on Friday like I planned.

I have some merry news. Guess what I bought today?

What; no that's not it.

You're close.

That's right; you guessed it; sweet Canada Stamps; 20 of them.

Unfortunately, they didn't have any available for US stamp pricing and the ones they had were not Christmassy; so I'll wait and get those in October. I just wanted all Sugar Pie - but I bought the books sets.

-list- Pretty excited about it.

Happy Memorial Day!

Sounds like the storms are starting so I had best get off the computer soon. Busy day ~ planted all the tomatoes and went to a flea market. Although I didn't find anything for the store, I did find some seedlings I wanted ~ poblano peppers, tomatillos, fingerling eggplant, and Japanese eggplant. :)

I didn't make it to the flea market on Saturday as a major storm went through and there was a lot of flooding outside (the seasonal creek sounded like a river!). Stayed home to monitor the basement, which didn't flood, so all was good. :)

Have a merry week, my friends!!

Keeping David in my thoughts and prayers ~ I hope the ergotherapy speeds his healing!

Good evening all! Hope you’ve all had a great day! I didn’t get out of work until late, so we ended up not doing anything this evening, since the kids have school tomorrow. DH is working overtime again tomorrow, so we’re all heading to bed here shortly. Talk to you tomorrow!
