Throughout the Miami Valley, there were 13 tornadoes from that one storm system. In all of Ohio, from that storm system, there were 19 tornadoes! 19 is Ohio's yearly average for tornadoes.
Improvements are being made. The city of Dayton finally got water service restored. There are still some places without power, but it is done to a few thousand, there were 70,000 without power at one point.
Lots of resources have been coming in from all over, and several school buildings are acting as housing units for those who lost their homes. It will take a long time before things are back to normal. As bad as it is, it could have been worse had people not listened to the news and alarms. The fact that there was only one fatality from all of that is incredible.
It’s so sad what weather can do. Continued prayers!
