Good afternoon!
Rainy day her today also...and we are leaving for IKEA soon,
and then we are going to my oldest sisters Birthday party (her day is tomorrow)

We have renovated my youngest daughter's room
(she is at folk high school on the other side of the country!)
It's going to be Isak's room now, so it's chaos here.
His bed is in our living room, and there is clothes, toys, and stuff everywhere!
But he will be moving in to his room tomorrow.
Looking forward to that:D

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Happy Saturday! I am enjoying my coffee and my oldest has soccer practice at 10 and then not too much planned. I am hoping to make it to the gym later.
Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning .. Well We picked 52 lbs of assorted apples yesterday :) will make the applesauce and apple butter this weekend. Just need to go get more canning lids, didn't realize how low I was on them. It's a lot of of work but well worth it. Store bought just doesn't taste as good LOL. Hope everyone has a great day.

Merry Saturday :)
I’m heading out soon to do some food shopping. Back home afterward to work on some chores. And my youngest is coming over later, I told her I would take her to Chili’s for lunch and then we’re going to Hobby Lobby to look around. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great weekend!!!

Good Morning, Intrepid Investigators of Interesting Information!

Well, I hope you find the following information interesting.
I certainly do!

Days to the Season: 60 (UNDER two months left!)
Days to Christmas Day: 102

But our quest for information will not be complete without the most recent data on our latest Milestone marker, which just happens to be the One-Hundred Day Christmas Day Window.
And it's only TWO days hence. The DAY AFTER TOMORROW!

We did get a break from the heat and humidity yesterday and will continue to enjoy pleasant conditions again today, with a predicted high of 86 this afternoon and a low chance of rain.
The current temperature here in our little part of the great MMC Nation is 72 degrees.

Have a Sensational Saturday and a Wildly Wondrous Weekend, Everyone!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Wow the heat has come back. Summer is holding on longer than I would like.

We put our inside Halloween decorations up, and I keep it cool enough in the house that is feels like fall inside.
Not too much extra going on right. Just busy with school and lots of football. I will try to catch some college football today, and then my Browns play Monday night.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

Hello everyone! Temps around here are a little cooler; it has been close to 90 the past few days and I was not happy! Not too much on the agenda; watching the Buckeyes today and NFL all day tomorrow. A perfect plan! One of my younger nephews is a freshman in high school and is playing football this year. He lives 3 hours away from me (where I grew up) and that is quite a haul for a Friday night game. But their team is 3-0 so far (and my older nephew, his brother, is on the coaching staff) so I really want to get to a game. I think I will check out their away schedule and see if any of the games may be a bit less of a drive for me. If not, I will make the drive up there to see him. I am looking forward to that! If I lived closer, I would go to all of their activities! Anyway, hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful safe weekend!

Thanks Crown! Happy Mid-September Weekend!

The weather is autumnal today---chilly and gray. The house temperature dropped below 70F for the first time since May or June, so I had hot cocoa with my breakfast. We're well into the threshold of the holiday season!

Merry Saturday!

Gorgeous day out and a bit cooler although I heard warmer temperatures are on the way. Monday the crew is coming over to put a ramp in for my brother. He might be getting out of the second rehab place in a few weeks! The chemo is kicking him pretty good, but I think that once he is here and able to be outside a bit more, he might do better. He spent all the free time he had outdoors and I know that being cooped up in a nursing home is very hard on him as he is extremely bored. I've been spending a lot of time rearranging things to make it easier for him to move around, but this isn't a house that easily accommodates a walker so it will be interesting. The nursing home is supposed to bring him over to see how he does, to offer suggestions on how to make his life easier, and to show me how to lift him should the need arise. I am going to be his caregiver so I'm ready for all the help they can give me!

After reading @Minta 's post about apples, I remembered I have four in the crisper and I am trying to decide what to make with them. Tomorrow I am going to make a couple of quarts of zucchini refrigerator pickles, but this time I might add some shaved carrots to the mix. I use habanero peppers in my pickles to give them a kick so I'll have to add more to counter the sweetness of the carrots. My garden is about done ~ not the best year what with too much rain, then not enough, but still it was nice to have fresh vegetables for a few months. I'm not looking forward to the clean-up in the beds as the weeds were fantastically happy this year, but that will be a good late fall 40* day.

Be merry!

That's good news that your brother is getting out soon; I think people heal better at home too.
Some of the things you're going through I took part in for my mom's preparation to go home the last time she was in the hospital. It sure made me feel more helpful to my dad. It's great to have helpers visit during the week as well; reach out to Home Care for support, don't try and do it all on your own.

Excellent advice, Auntie! People from the physical and occupational therapy department will be visiting twice a week and a nurse will be visiting, too, but I don't remember how many times a week that will be.

Sounds like the perfect day Sugar. Hope you did find some Christmas decorations!
In Norway we can see the first sign of Christmas stuff in October. I can't wait!

They did have a few things out and I actually bought a new ornament!

Festive Greetings +k

Yes it's Saturday, sleep in day, but here I am awake since 3:25 so I'm up, having my java in my permanent favourite coffee mug with the big plaid S on the front and a merry strip along the handle. I do believe it was a Christmas gift, but I can't remember if it was from the exchange last year or from a co-worker.

Here's an old Java song to keep you company while you sip a little something this morning. No, it's not the one you think I'd be sharing.

Off to visit a co-worker and her brand new son who was born last Monday to visit and drop off his baby gift and a parcel for his big brother who just started JK on Thursday. I tried to connect with her on my last vacation, but she was visiting relatives.

I remember when my little cousin was born and I had only seen puppies and kittens born before that so I was surprised that her eyes were opened already. Haha.

Her first born is a bit of a high energy child and it appears so far that his baby brother is calming him down as he is relaxed and gentle around him and loves him already. I was worried that he wouldn't care so much having to share his parents, but he's accepted him with open arms - literally. I don't know her husband all that well, perhaps I'll see him today as well if he's not working.

A bit of housework and errands to run as well today, but first I must make merry here on MMC.

Stay jolly +i

Congrats to your co-worker! Hope you enjoyed the visit!
