Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!! We got the call last night that my cousin lost her battle with cancer yesterday and that my great uncle wasn’t handling his 2nd round of chemo very well. So it’s been a solemn kinda day here. I’m getting ready to kick back and enjoy the new hallmark movie though while doing some Christmas shopping online.

So sorry for your loss. keeping you and your family in my prayers.

And just like that my Christmas shopping is finished; just have to wrap things up. Get my cards ready and I'll be all set to relax the entire month of December.

Making turkey noodle soup for dinner and lunches the first few days of the week.

Merry Monday; stepping closer to the season :bundleup snow expected today.

Start of a new week - 4 days for me; I'm off on Friday for no particular reason, then off on the 13th so I can stay up late on the 12th with all y'all, I also have the 22nd and 25th off and then nothing until Dec. 23rd.

I have personal letters to write this year that I'm sending separately from Christmas cards to #1 & #2 son, their ladies, the grans, my husband's ex-wife, and my dad who visited and/or were present in the last days of Gary's life. The reason for my insomnia on Saturday night was writing the notes in my head before putting them on paper. I got to thinking that as much as we texted after he passed and have talked about him in person and celebrated his life, we never gave each other the chance to remember him in his last days and how that affected us in different ways. I feel like this is an important part of healing for all of us; definitely for me.

My dad said we're good to stay put this Christmas and my brother from Toronto will visit with or without a friend for a few days. That means he has to decorate; I'll help him if he wants. He was talking about leaving his corner tree up all year, but just with the lights after New Year's.

I'll visit the boys and grands for a couple of days and connect with my other brother; might get him over for dinner with the Ottawa or Stittsville family.

+hKeep a merry thought in your head +g

Happy monday everyone!

I’m going to build my Christmas music playlist this week, as I do every year around this time. When it’s finished I will sync it to my phone so I’ll have my Christmas music with me everywhere I go. For me this really marks the start of the season.. I’m excited!

I wish you all a great week!

Merry Monday MMC!
It’s pretty chilly out there this morning, we’re currently at 33 degrees. We’re going to warm up to 55 today. I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. Rocky has a groomer appointment this morning. I have a chiropractor appointment as well. Maybe a Target run afterward. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. And I’m making a big pot of Italian wedding soup for dinner. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!
xx

@Crown 84

I haven't seen the list of days for special posts in a few days....I was going to let others take a turn since I have done it for the past two or three years. Do we need anyone?
Here you go:
Nov. 08 (Day 5 before the Season) = e_xander
Nov. 09 (Day 4 before the Season) = Binger
Nov. 10 (Day 3 before the Season) = Brent
Nov. 11 (Day 2 before the Season) = -- OPEN --
Nov. 12 (Day 1 before the Season) = Auntie Mistletoe

One day left to fill, Folks!

Good Monday Morning, Friends!

This is the LAST full week before our Christmas Season begins on November 13.
And speaking of that, there is still one slot open in the Special Post Series, which begins now in just FOUR days. (Can you believe it??)
Volunteer now or forever hold your narrative (at least until next year).

The new numbers to start the new week:
Days to the Season: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 24 (Now UNDER 3 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 51 (Seven weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Wow. Exciting days are are drawing nigh!

Chilly here during the day over the weekend, but really not bad for early November. Plenty of sun and no rain at all.
We should be in the mid 60's to a maximum of 70 for the next few days for the high before really chilly weather arrives late in the week.
Our week-starting temperature here this morning is 40 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

You remembered that I wear XL, right? :p

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

My annual complaining about stopping Daylight Savings is in full swing. Why IN THE WORLD would anyone think we need to sun to be shining while we're getting dressed for work?!? I want daylight after I get home so I can do a few things outside!

Rant over...for now.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I second that rant!

Good Monday morning! David had a follow-up with his surgeon and he is now ok to work 4 days per week, with more regular and light work added to his list. His doctor is saying that by January he should be back to full-time regular work, as his progress is right on track.

In between some house chores and laundry this morning, I’m watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. They’re playing on the W network here and I recorded a couple so far, with actors that I enjoy most. This really puts me in the Christmas mood.

Hope everyone will enjoy a great start to the week!
