Great fun counting down to the start of our season. I got about 5.5 hours of sleep; O'Malley tried to get me up at 4:00, but I was stronger than his persistence.

Merry Christmas season everyone! I fell asleep around 8:30 last night and missed all the fun of the countdown (I can never stay up that late). To welcome the start of the season, it is currently -22°C/-7°F here this morning, with bright blue skies. A real Winter Wonderland after all the snow we received yesterday. I'm currently making cream of carrot soup to warm us up tonight.

I woke up again around 2:45am and couldn’t fall back asleep again, so I watched the Holiday Baking Championship. Wow the desserts looked amazing this week, makes me want to bake Christmas treats. That's what I'll be doing next week when I have another week off.

I just filled the bird feeders up and it’s chilly out there!!! Not too much going on here, I’ll just be working on some chores around the house. I plan on making spaghetti & meatballs for dinner and we have tickets for the Islander game tonight. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
