Thank you for the thoughts and prayers for my brother Ralph. He passed away this morning. I don't remember if I told you, but this site meant a lot to him and all of you were in his prayers. Again, thank you so much!
Meceka I am very sorry for your loss. Sending strength and warm thoughts to you and your entire family.

Happy Final Friday of the Year MMC! It's amazing that I can say for the final time in 2019 TGIF! I am working today. I am working Monday too but then New Years Eve I'm off and New Years Day. It really is kind of weird when it falls on Wednesdays. Not that it's bad it's just a little more challenging. We won't have to worry about that in 2020. Have a great Final Friday of the Year!

Morning MMC! Everybody in the house is suffering with the Tanzania cowering bird flu or whatever it is we all caught again. Had a great Christmas and started shopping for new Christmas decorations last night.

That's no fun at Christmas. The shopping can turn it around.

Meceka, my heart is heavy for your loss; I know you were looking forward to having him come and live with you. Praying for you and Ralph.

Two years ago, my mom exited this world (stage right) in her home with my dad and myself present. My brother had just left the day before. She had kept her positive attitude and sense of humour since her stroke 11 years previous, but the last two years, she was losing so much energy. She gave us one last Christmas and tons of memories.

Dr. Seuss says, "Don't cry because it' over; smile because it happened." Some days it seems like she's been gone for ten years and other times it seems more recent. My dad and I were talking about her last Christmas yesterday when I was visiting. He finally realized how similar our caregiving lives were and felt bad that my husband wouldn't let me share how ill he was so my dad could have helped out more and so he could understand why he wasn't coming around as much as he used to or that I couldn't visit for long. Until that last day when I was there for ten hours. I am so glad that I realized that she was close to the end and stayed with my dad. I would not have wanted him to go through that alone.

Today, I am off to Ottawa for two days to visit the boys and their famiies, my other brother will stop by to visit - maybe join us for dinner.

I'm hoping to make this day a special one.

Sharing one of her favourite artists from the 70's. She introduced me to some great music over the years.

Hearing you talk about your kids in college makes me feel old. I can remember them being in like grade school when I started coming here. LOL.
My lower back agrees with you, my friend.

Merry Friday!
We have a dreary day out there but at least it is not too cold.
I am having coffee and I need to make a return to the store later and I may swing by Dollar General to see what they have left for Christmas.
Hope you all have a great day!

Thinking of you, Auntie, and sending love and hugs. {{{HUGS}}}

Good Friday morning! Can’t believe Christmas came and went just like that. It was a lovely time with family and friends. Now onto the new year, which we don’t really celebrate other than watching year-end comedy reviews.

We had freezing rain overnight and now freezing drizzle, so I think I’ll stay in on this first of three days off, except to walk Loki. David has a physio and ergo appointments later this morning, hopefully by then the roads won’t be as bad.

Right now we’re relaxing after the delivery of our new couch. We weren’t expecting it to be ready until late January so it was a nice surprise to learn that they could deliver it today. And we were second on the delivery list, so it’s nice not to have been stuck waiting all day for it.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Good Morning, MMC!! Well it’s a little foggy here this morning but it should be another beautiful day. It’s hard to believe that I actually had the ac on in the car yesterday while out shopping. Today isn’t going to be quite as warm but still should be in the mid 50’s. With rain coming this weekend and the cold returning next week, I think I’m going to work on getting my outdoor decorations down today. It’ll be sad to see them go but the planning for next years display is already in full swing. They’ll regret giving me 3rd in the decorating contest!! If they want lights, I’ll give them lights!! Lol!! I hope everyone has a great day!!!
