Good evening, everyone! Caught up here. DH and I are just sitting down relaxing, watching a movie. Well, as far as the car shopping went, it sort of took a twisted turn, but a positive one, one that I am bummed I didn't come up with the idea, but glad that our money savvy friend did!

Since I lost my license for 6 months (due to having the seizures and I am unable to drive) and since we talked about possibly being in the market for 2 new or newer vehicles in the next 6 months or so, we've decided to trade both of our vehicles in, get my vehicle now, then get his this summer, due to the fact it will be a lease vehicle (we don't want to rack on miles on that, so it will be the only one we can drive) and then go over on the mileage. Anyway, we are going to trade both in, just buy one now - so we'll only have one car payment and car insurance payment for 5-6 months then, which makes 100% sense and we'll save over $3,000 on top of the other bills we've already saved on and we're going to sit down tomorrow and look at some things. We're on a roll and I'm super excited lol!

Anyway, I hope you've all had a great day! I like a lot of you, am reading about the potential for huge snow this coming weekend. They are taking around 15+ here, but of course, it is way too soon to tell, so we shall see! I hope you all sleep well. We have our niece tomorrow and DD has had a chest cold x 1 week, that honestly, is getting worse, so I think we may keep her home tomorrow, so I can let her rest, hydrate, and if it continues to get worse by middle of week, I may get her in for a chest x-ray, just to make sure she isn't getting pneumonia. She isn't running fever or complaining of shortness of breath, so I don't think we're there.

See you all tomorrow!

Praying DD is better!
xx

Good Morning MMC !

I am finally starting to feel better. Off to a 4 hour shift at work today, will see how it goes.
Very cold morning here at -12c (10f) will have to scrape windows before heading out.
Hope you all have a great day !

Praying you continue to improve! xx

Happy New Week!

Back at work after being out with a cold since Thursday afternoon. Not back to full strength yet, but good enough to work without spreading germs.

We're starting to see "potential for a major winter storm" in our forecast now. Glad that will be over a (for us) holiday weekend.

Praying you are back to full strength soon!
xx

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

It's still overcast and yucky this morning, but hopefully that will clear up soon. All this talk of snow, and we're just getting rain. Blech.

One of the football coaches at Elizabeth's school lost his 2 year old son this weekend when the child got away from him at a birthday party and fell in a pool. Bless them! We attending a prayer service at the school last night, and the place was packed. I've never met him or his family, but I admit I was crying before the night was over. :( The power of the Lord's presence and the emotions of the moment are overwhelming when hundreds of people are praying together for the same thing.

I have an appointment with the orthopedic doctor tomorrow. I'm ready for my hand to get better! It's my left hand, and I'm left-handed!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Oh, Brad, that is heartbreaking. Sending up many prayers for the football coach and his family. xx

When the year is off to a bad start...A former employee of ours who just got promoted to assistant-manager and was supposed to start training this week learned this morning that the cells they removed from her throat are cancerous and specialists are recommending a qtotal removal of her larynx, as chemo would not yield good results. She is devastated, having to decide at age 56 if she wants chemo, with a slim chance of long-term survival, or having a permanent tracheostomy, with all its consequences but with 100% certainty she will be cancer-free. If you can include her in your thoughts as she goes through this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Good Morning, MMC Citizens!

And as good citizens, we want to keep abreast of the latest developments as regards our count, Milestone markers, and the proximity of our long-awaited and much-coveted Christmas Season.
Well, we are here to help with critical data, supplied to you free of charge.
(Of course, what you do with it is up to you.)

Days to the Season: 303
Days to Christmas Day: 345
That's the current count.

As to the next Milestone?
Well, it's the 300-day Season Window, and is now LESS than HALF A WEEK into the future.
(Now, armed with that data, I'm sure you will know just what to do!)

Cold, cloudy and damp all day yesterday. Most dreary, to say the least. The kind of day that can easily trigger Seasonal Affective Disorder!
Fortunately, today is predicted to be sunny and dry, albeit still chilly.
Our opening temperature of the new week here is 34 degrees and for now, it's still quite cloudy.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

The 2's count will be a great start to getting the ball really rolling. Not to get to far ahead, but it's the 1's count iwhen it starts to feel really doable!

I'm praying for you guys sake that we don't either - it's going to be a huge model they will be watching for sure.
It keep going between snow and snow/rain for us

Oh wow, Brad. How incredibly sad. I am tearing up just reading this. Prayers for the little boys family and everyone involved, including the first responders. That is just a terrible situation. May God be with them all. I pray your appointment goes well tomorrow and you get some answers!

Sounds like a great plan for buying another car...sorry to hear you have to wait so long to drive.
I hope you are feeling better and your niece too.
I was talking with an elementary school teacher last night and she said on Friday they had 95 kids out from school with flu, high fever virus and stomach bug. Definitely lots going around!
Have a great day, Sugar!

Thanks, SFM! Bought a car tonight - very exciting!

It's that time of the year! It was actually DD - she seems to be turning the corner - thank you! As for me, just taking it one day at a time. Thanks for thinking of me. Hope you had a nice day!

You guys really ARE on a roll! I like all of your ideas, especially cleaning up the TV costs. Our Dish Network subscription costs us over $100 a month, and we don't have any movie channels, or even Science Channel (which I love).

I may have to follow your example and get rid of the money vampires in my life!

Thanks! I think so too! Since I barely ever use my Sirius XM anymore, I called to cancel it today, they tried to give me a promotional discount and reminded me that they did that before, so they cut it in half, so since I do use it around Christmas time, I agreed to keep - they cut the bill again in half, so I'm only pay $5 a month now, which is very good for the biggest package. DH said from now, he's making me take care of all that kind of stuff, because I always get stuff down and I am good at complaining! LOL
